I was always a Nintendo guy, from when I was 2 through present day. But I heard incredible things about Mass Effect back in 2012 and couldn't play the full trilogy on any Nintendo platform, so I got a second hand XBox 360 from Craigslist. Snagged those games and Perfect Dark for nostalgia, and I was hooked.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition got me to upgrade to a One X, and then last year Series X was on sale for 350 so I jumped on it. Legendary Edition, Dead Space remake, and AC Odyssey have been incredible on that so far!
I JUST signed up for 3 months of Game Pass for $1 (have no idea what that promo was about but I'll take it!) so I am very happy about this announcement! I was going to get this day one for Switch. I'll play it for my XBox One first, and then buy physical for Switch if I enjoy it. If it's anything like Turtles in Time, that'll be a guaranteed purchase
@SacredPYRO I'm still waiting for it to go on sale for a much lower price. From what I heard it IS better but the vehicle pop in was still an issue; cars just appear out of nowhere half a block in front of you with no time to respond when you're speeding
@Hobbesyall As others have said I don't think it would have been wise to remove him right away. I think XBox/Microsoft will drop him but only once they're actually in the door, evaluated, and determined who they'd want to replace him. If he's still around come June then yeah it would be pure garbage.
I voted the first as my favorite, but I feel that would change depending on my mood. But I just love the atmosphere and wonder of the first, the choices and openness of the second, and the action and emotions of the third.
@Delpoi I hated it my first playthrough, but on my second I appreciated it more. I liked the story concept, but had no interest in Jaal or the generic enemies (except the two leaders)
And they'd be better off returning to the mission based format of 1-3 and the Andromeda squadmate missions, rather than the giant empty open world
I gave up on Legendary Edition, and decided next time I play through I'm going back to the originals. There were bugs that were truly breaking my immersion in the game, and it's clear that Bioware and EA don't care as no one ever responds to tickets submitted on their site. They just dropped support for it.
Maybe with more people playing them on Game Pass they'll pay attention again, but I doubt it
This looks just like the other WWE2K games to me. Nothing exciting. And as others have said here and elsewhere, the obsession with super realism and simulation in wrestling is tired. Putting someone on a table, climbing a ladder and dive bombing onto that wrestler was far more clunky than it should have been.
I'm looking forward to the AEW game, especially since they have the No Mercy director on board. Fingers crossed, I have been longing for a great wrestling game for years.
I miss WrestleMania 2000, No Mercy and the first handful of PS2 Smackdown games
Still waiting for EA/Bioware to respond on several bugs folks (including myself) have complained about since Mass Effect Legendary Edition released. The admins on the EA site don't even respond anymore. If they want to learn from mistakes... Do better QA too.
I was waiting for Conker to go on sale, so I'm happy for that. And I just found out Marble Madness is on the Midway collection- it'll be a fun blast from the past to play that (probably get just 15 minutes of enjoyment from it but still). I still remember my siblings freaking out over that game because it was so hard, and I was way too young to even attempt it
I couldn't get into Octopath Traveler's grindiness but LOVED it's art style, so I'm looking forward to this! I've never played a Dragon Quest game, so maybe this will be a proper entry point
@KilloWertz I said the same thing on another article but someone informed me that Injustice Gods Among Us was never on XBox One, Sony bought exclusive rights to the then next gen upgrade.
I WAS playing Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and I'm about 3/4 through game 1 but the dialogue Cut out bug is really breaking the immersion for me so I'm stopping before Virmire until they fix it. Heard the issues in ME2 are even worse.
@G8crasha I have an extensive backlog, but Mass Effect Legendary Edition is absolutely cutting in line. I played and replayed the trilogy to death, years back.
@sakanakami I'm sorry!! My copy isn't arriving for a couple days, but I'm also out of town so I'm luckily not at home antsy obsessing over the tracking info. I definitely would have been.
I don't care about the Oscars, but decided to watch this out of curiosity. This was so well done. I bawled my eyes out.
However it feels weird to me that this is paired with a video game that in a way glorifies the violence of WWII. Seeing her personality in the documentary, and how she is against morbid tourism, I don't think she'd be happy or impressed
@Fiendish-Beaver I would also buy the multiplayer separately if it ever came. I'm probably in the very bottom of any rankings, but I'm having a lot of fun with it now. Maybe one day there will be an expanded version with more options, arenas... One can only hope
I wanted the Series X but after a month of hunting, I'm done. I gave in and just ordered the One X (not too expensive). I had the PS4 but despise the uncomfortable Dualshock, and I just something about PS and I never clicked. I couldn't imagine playing 100+ hours of Mass Effect on that, and I want to go back through games I may have missed. If I eventually do get the Series X, I can sell the One X off or hand it down.
The BF got the One S, because he really wanted Banjo/RR, and he wants to give Mass Effect a shot after all my ravings about it. He didn't want the One X because it's black and too big, the Series S because it's digital only, and the Series X is too much and too big
Since XBox and PS games always go down drastically in price within a year, yeah, no, not paying 70. I only pay full price for Nintendo games (because they annoyingly never go down in price so why wait) or for games I need to have day one, like the upcoming Mass Effect remaster

Timesplitters 2 & Future Perfect, and Deux Ex Human Revolution. Timesplitters is definitely scratching my Goldeneye itch

@RBRTMNZ yeah same. I wanted Tony Hawk (the Switch version) and can't bring myself to right now

Re: Here Are Your Xbox Games With Gold For June 2021
@BAMozzy oh I didn't know that, thank you! I had it on PS4 (which I've since sold) and just assumed it was multi platform
Re: Here Are Your Xbox Games With Gold For June 2021
I wish it was the Xbox One version of Injustice, but no biggie

Until then, New Pokemon Snap for me!
Re: Hands On: Mass Effect Legendary Edition - The Best Way To Experience The Original Series
@The_New_Butler oh it does! Just wait until the very difficult choices come, you have the full squad, etc

SSX Tricky and X-Men Legends please. Sad they're not playable!

Re: Pick One: Which Of These Classic Rare Games Is Your Favourite?
I think you only included Game Pass Rare games, but Goldeneye, Conker, Diddy Kong Racing, etc are all missing.
Perfect Dark is my favorite game of theirs. I love the solo missions and the multiplayer (which you can also play solo)

Re: Walmart Will Be Restocking The Xbox Series X This Afternoon
@GamingFan4Lyf So frustrating. I did see that a while ago but I don't really want the pass as I'm limiting the number of subscriptions I have.
And just like that, at the "return at 2:50ET" they're all gone. Won't be doing Walmart again...
Re: Walmart Will Be Restocking The Xbox Series X This Afternoon
I tried at 2:30ET as soon as it said "Add to cart" and it immediately said "Out of stock" and "Returning at 2:40ET"
Tried again at exactly 2:40ET, same thing, then "Returning at 2:50ET"
Are there bots eating them up the millisecond they're up?
