We've been treated to another look at WWE 2K22 as part of SummerSlam this weekend, along with the news that the game will officially be releasing later than usual for a WWE title, set to arrive for Xbox in March of 2022.

Typically, WWE games have released around the end of the year, but 2K22 appears to be targeting WrestleMania season for the extra development time and increased interest the brand will get for its biggest event of the year.

There's not much we can take from the footage above, but recent insider reports have suggested the game's "redesigned engine" is performing really well, so let's hope it lives up to the hype after the disappointing WWE 2K20.

It looks like the dev team is going to go quiet for a while now, with more details to be shared in January 2021.

"If you haven't noticed, things are about to hit different with WWE 2K22! Get ready to hit the ring with new controls, stunning graphics, and a redesigned engine!

WWE 2K22 comes down the aisle in March 2022!"
