A PS5... It is about time I play through some of the Sony exclusives

@InterceptorAlpha Not sure how you can compare COD with BF. If you try to play BF6 like you would COD you end up dead quick. They are fundamentally different experiences.

Short term it does not affect me. I don't care what other people can and cannot play.

Long term - much more likely that I will switch to Playstation for next gen.

Cannot say I am impressed with BL4 on Xbox Series X. The picture could be clearer and the 60fps does not look super smooth to my eyes. All in all BL3 looked better on my Series X.

Assasin's Creed was a pleasant surprise.

Time to buy Skull and Bones. I am sure it can provide 10 hours of entertainment.

I have given up on buying any From Software games so this is an easy answer.

I tried it yesterday and really enjoyed it. Got to chapter 3. Definitely a game I intend to complete.

My favourite in the series is still Rise but this has just been released. I am sure it has the potential to become my all time favorite.

Nice update - except streaming is not supported where I live. So not so nice for me.

I had a day off yesterday and I managed to sink 6 hours in. I am having a good time with it so far. It is too early to give a concrete opinion though - so far it is a 7.5/10. Well worth playing on Gamepass or if it goes on sale for less than €50.

Controls on a controller are sub par

@Raine1364 I wholeheartedly suggest Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. It is regularly on sale so should not be too expensive.

@Ricky-Spanish I feel Robocop and Indiana Jones are very similar games. They both take beloved 80's IP and turn them into a FPS experience similar to an unreleased movie in their respective series without relying completely on shooting mechanics. Indiana Jones obviously has a much higher budget.

I read this as Phil saying he is not in total control of these decisions so he is trying not to walk himself into a corner. It would make zero sense not to offer some kind of value (that is not related to GP) to Xbox owners.

Polls like this don't have much value. If you bought the game and played it then it is because you liked what you saw and are probably enjoying it. That means that the score will skewer towards higher marks.

Conversely those who did not buy it can easily post negative scores based on the fact that they did not like what they saw and therefore did not purchase it.

@jikflet People who love games love playing them. Not everyone is a collector.

Been subbed to Ultimate for a while now and I don't regret it. Still buy games when they are on sale and I know it is a game I might want to play indefinitely.

I tried Altas Fallen and after 6 hours I can say that I like it a lot.

And, just like that, I lost interest in another Xbox first party title

Love it with any game which does not need to connect to an online server. Is there a way to disable it on a game by game basis?

This is the way the market is going. MS are doing it first partly because MS are ahead of the curve in most things (online connectivity, reliance on digital, multiplatform, backwards compatibility, subscription services) but also because MS are the underdogs at this point and need to make every dollar count. Eventually the big three will all have to move away from the concept of spending millions on a game which only serves to sell more boxes. I think the last one to do so will be Nintendo. Their first party games are often smaller in scope and therefore cost less to make, their IPs are incredibly strong and they do not make a loss from hardware sales. Having said that even Nintendo is trying to leverage their IPs by opening amusement parks and working on movies. Nintendo already made some less obvious changes - their first party titles never drop below 66% of their original price even 7 years after release and even then only during a sale.

If the number of people playing video games does not keep growing then the industry investors have to find ways to make the most out of their investment.

I'm playing some Steamworld Quest Hand of Gilgamesh on Switch. Works really well on the portable.

On Series X I am enjoying Lego 2K Drive - wonderful game let down by a free to play feeling revolving around the constant encouragement to buy stuff with real money. I love the fact that seasons do not expire but at €10 each I am still not dipping in.

I am also playing Smite regularly in preparation for Smite 2. I am no pro at it but I really enjoy Arena Mode.

Pity they are not providing a few more updates considering the game will be reaching more people now.

I'm working all weekend but lately have been hooked on SMITE and Two Point Hospital.

Gamepass, quick resume and backwards compatibility - in that order. There is plenty to play so I cannot complain.

Sony currently have little incentive to put games on the Xbox. This does not mean that it will never happen. They are already pushing their games on PC. In the near future we might see them release games on PC closer to their initial release on PS. We might even see them release some of their older titles on a Nintendo console (if they do not perceive it as direct competition). Unless something happens we might see them release PS games on XBOX, but that is still some ways off.

@BacklogBrad Even better if a new lease of life on other platforms allows them to expand the experience further!

@ScoTTieDLighT The reason to keep games exclusive is to lure players into your ecosystem. Helldivers 2 might be a great game but a system seller it is not. Especially since it launched on PC as well.

Resumed my playthrough and I can definitely see myself finishing this. Now, if only I can find the key to that broadcast room....

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and Starfield mostly. Some Warframe on the side.

I am enjoying this game but the model is flawed. Unlike MH Rise, which launched with plenty of single player and multiplayer content, this game seems thin on content. Asking full price for this kind of game does not feel right. Would have been much more sensible to launch this game at half the price, after all live service games live or die by the community they attract. This runs the risk of being forgotten too soon, which would be a real shame.

Was working this weekend so I will be playing during the week I guess.

ESO Necrom will probably take most of my time. If this was a single player RPG I would say that the quests are very high quality. The fact that it is an MMO blows my mind.

Diablo IV - Finished the game but there is still so much to do.

NFS Unbound - I tried it and liked it. It is a good change of pace.

Bought Diablo IV. It is devilishly good.

@PsykoRobot The CMA is literally protecting companies and services which do not exist yet. It is mind boggling really.

@S1ayeR74 Not really. If the EU and US agree it will be a matter of not releasing any ABK games on their cloud service (ie Gamepass) in the UK. UK gamers can then enjoy the pro consumer safeguards the CMA devised.

@Tharsman They could also make them subsidiaries in the UK. No need to close any offices

To release a flagship title without full 60fps support is ridiculous. More so considering that early on they were relieved of having to work on a PS5 version. I will not touch the game until a 60fps mode has been made available. Unfortunately with these kind of games the first weeks are do or die. So more likely die in this instance.

Voted 'none of them' for the simple fact that I have a Nintendo Switch and if I was interested in any of the good games on that list then I would play them there. The only game I would like to come to Xbox is Final Fantasy but it is not reason enough for me to purchase a PS5... not by a long shot.

@Carck Actually Microsoft pledged to make COD multiplatform for 3 years after current contractual obligations expire... which means it will definitely be mutli platorm till 2008
