Ok I've got the update, avatar store works etc but where on earth do you find the leaderboard? I've looked everywhere to no avail :- (

We seem to be awash with these side-scrolling platform games lately... it's almost like the last 25 years of gaming innovation never happened... That cover artwork is a pretty desperate attempt to attract a certain demographic too

A welcome return of several much missed features there (Leaderboard/Avatar Store) and some cool new ones (Pins/Party). Hoping I get this update tonight!

Have already pre-ordered this based on a video of the game I saw over Christmas. I love these sorts of puzzle platformers and this one seems to have a pretty unique gameplay hook and beautiful graphics.

Wow, that trailer has totally told sold me on the game. Straight to the top of my shopping list!

@JakkuRey Thanks for the alternative viewpoint, I can see you are a fan. I do like space games and as you say they're in short supply on the One. How long is this lag in reality then? I do have an SSD which I could install the game on which could alleviate/eliminate the lag depending on just how bad it is in the first place?

I do like my achievements though and like it or not they do seem to influence my purchasing choices. Shovel Knight has done something similar and it's a real turn-off...

@KelticDevil I hope this proves to be a massive flop for them personally... maybe then they'll reconsider the lack of a campaign for any future sequels. It turned it from being a 'must buy' into an 'avoid' for me as soon as I found out there wasn't one. Correspondingly I couldn't care less about the status of the DLC

Good review... although it has really put me off the game, at the current price point anyway. The lag sounds like a game breaker and as for the achievements... wtf? Shame as I really liked the look of this and was going to pick it up when things got 'quieter'... its going to have to drop in price quite a bit now before I'm tempted again...

Not convinced that releasing 'exclusive' games simultaneously on Windows 10 is a good idea... Where is the incentive for PC/PS4 owning gamers to buy an Xbox One then?

Or put it this way... if I knew Uncharted 4 and The Last Guardian were going to be coming out on PC I would NEVER have bought a PS4...

Flying in the face of the above comments I have to say I am completely unfazed by this news... This game was never on my radar anyway. Quantum Break is more my kind of game and that has suffered its fair share of setbacks...

@Tat1664 As long as they call it anything other than an Xbox then I'm fine with it... otherwise they will just confuse and dilute their target audiences.

The new Apple TV ain't exactly cheap and it only plays crappy mobile games with a rubbish remote... I don't see it becoming a mainstream device, not when you can get a Fire TV stick for less than the cost of a game and it offers the same experience.

Why would MS bother entering this market at all? Better to focus on the Xbox One which can do everything the others do AND play AAA games, Blu-Rays etc surely?

Disappointing news... got nothing against them trying something new but surely they have the manpower to produce a new one alongside a more traditional release for the fans. I'd be very happy if they just provided a new set of missions/storyline to play in the Syndicate world, keeping the two main characters.

I really enjoy the annual AC series and Syndicate in particular was fantastic... I 100% completed it last year, including the DLC so if this news is true then I'll not have a new AC game to play for 2 entire years!!!

Hope this turns out to be false if the end product is to be a box incapable of playing full blown Xbox One games, even if they are download only.

I think such a device would damage the brand and undo the good work Phil Spencer has done since he started...

60 seconds for a full charge? How is that even possible... even my Samsung phone with it's Fast Charger takes about 45 minutes to charge my battery fully...

Part of me feels the claim is disingenuous and it's more something like it'll give you a full charge in 15 minutes (for example) but you can get a 1 hour charge to get back into your game with a quick 60 second partial charge...

If it really can give a full charge in 60 seconds AND that charge lasts for the stated time then count me in!

@Red620Ti Me too, I did play the 1st Episode on my PS3 a long time ago and it was pretty cool. Much more of an adventure game than their current interactive stories. You actually have to put some effort in if you want to get all the achievements!

You should be able to buy the 360 games off their website?

@KelticDevil I agree about PS+ game quality going down hill... I guess that's what complacency does for you. They don't have to try as hard as MS do and it is showing both with PS+ and in the way they're handling BC titles...

For the time being I've let my PS+ sub lapse...

@BAMozzy I dint think there's any distinction between getting the games on the 360 or the One - I've always gotten them off the website anyways so I'd assume they're yours to keep even if you stop paying. I'm paid up till end of 2017 for Gold and will never let it lapse - just like paying for broadband or Sky to me.

I pay approx £22-£25 a year for my Gold membership - that's what... about £2 a month? That's an absolute pittance, for that I get Xbox live online membership, discounts in the store each month, 10% VIP cashback on purchases AND 3-4 games a month. Whichever way you slice it, to me that means the games are as near as makes no difference, free.

I loved the first one on PC and also 2 on the 360 - the fact that it was all story based without any sandbox fluff didn't bother me in the slightest. Loved the Godfather games too (where's 3?) so this will be an instant buy for me!

I'm going to 100% AC Syndicate including the Ripper DLC - so close to getting all the achievements now

I see a lot of love for Ori here... I got a bit frustrated with it to be honest. Found some of the platforming quite tricky... maybe I should go back to it...

I'll happily take Fable 3, Deus Ex, Portal and 'Splosion Man... I enjoyed the first Kane & Lynch... but know nothing about the sequel... so that's a maybe.

Disappointed that Fable Anniversary still isn't on the list though..

@freaksloan That's a good question... I've got an EA Access subscription but can't tell from the Xbox website whether there is an extra 10% discount applied or not...

Actually pleased to hear this. These sort of games are a little bit of a guilty pleasure of mine... something very therapeutic and relaxing about hidden object adventure games. Mrs Stylon loves them too!

Glad to hear it... but I don't really want to be hearing about new consoles at this point in their lifespan (well except maybe for Nintendo). I want another 5 years with the XBox One before there's talk of a replacement!

I'll be getting stuck into this over the Christmas holiday so that survival DLC is hitting at just the right time! Might pickup the season pass too... maybe it'll be in this 'biggest ever' Xmas sale they've been touting?

Yeah my wife got my iPod touch 2nd Gen engraved many years ago and it was a lovely sentiment but it meant that when the iPod touch 3rd Gen came out I couldn't sell it and trade up. I still have (and use it) to this day... so maybe it wasn't such a bad idea after all

The battery compartment cover is easily replaceable so you wouldn't really have this problem come trading in time but then again if they're easily swappable... what's the point?

Sweet - can't wait to play this tomorrow. Finished the campaign over the weekend especially to clear the way for this. So glad the present day stuff has been almost cast aside in the campaign too... relegated to just a few non playable cut-scenes.

Hurrah! Such a simple thing but it's incredibly annoying to have to resort to using your PC to acquire BC 360's games... just like it is to get new stuff for our avatars. Really, with the resources MS have, you have to wonder why it takes so long for them to get stuff like this sorted...

Lego City and Bayonetta 2... In fact all of them really... after the disastrous WiiU I think they should go software only and release their games on Xbox/PS4. They struck it lucky with the original Wii... can't see them pulling that off ever again...

Sweet - just picked up Doom II for £1.69 as it's backward compatible. Would have got Feeding Frenzy 2 as well but just couldn't find it in the sale?

Sky are one of the worst money-grabbing companies out there... every year I have to make the 'I'm gonna cancel' phone call to get my bill reduced to something resembling reasonable. I'll take the 2 month free trial but I'll be damned if they're getting an extra £5 off me to watch what I'm already paying for on another device. Cheeky barstewards.
