Tekken is yet to make an appearance on the Xbox One console with Tekken 7 not due to appear until later in the year. However, Reddit user Linda__Martin posted the following confirming that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has is indeed playable on Xbox One;
"I was looking through my achievements out of boredom when I noticed this. Seems that Tekken Tag 2 will be coming to Backwards Compatibility as the boxart has been resized similar to other BC games. Update: Several people have told me they have managed to download it and play so yes, it's official guys "
Microsoft has recently announced 10 new games as joining the backwards compatibility list but from this point forth will be rolling out games as and when they become available, rather than waiting for a monthly list to publish, so we can expect other games to randomly pop up as time goes on.
Update: It appears that Microsoft has now closed the loophole that was allowing this game to be played, with users reporting a number of bugs and crashes when they fired it up. Looks like TTT2 was just in testing for now, but we'd expect it to turn up on the B/C list very soon.

That's awesome, but has Tekken 7 been confirmed to make its way to Xbox One yet?
@shonenjump86 Yep, it was announced during Paris Games Week in October.
Ok cool, I knew it was coming to PS4 but it's great that it's coming to the One.
@Utena-mobile
Its been awhile since I played Tekken Tag 2, but the game does somewhat have a story in arcade mode I think. Characters do have their own endings and they were mostly gags. The story is not canon to the main Tekken games if that helps.
@SuperKMx So (before I splash the cash) is this confirmed to be true as it's still not showing on the official list

@stylon It appears that Microsoft has removed it so it no longer works. (Just about to update the story.) It looks like it was being tested for a future B/C release, rather than being a full and final launch.
It'll be on the list relatively soon, I'd say.
@SuperKMx Thank you oh wise one.
@stylon You're welcome, my child.
