Re: Double Fine Reacts To Xbox Closure Rumours With Single Emoji

Anyone who keeps saying this is "trimming the fat", keeps saying all these developers are "activists" etc. I hope you lose your job as well soon. I will say the same thing to you.

These are industry veterans, talent that can't just be replaced. This is why the quality of games in the industry continues to go downwards because these companies keep getting rid of their veteran developers to replace them with "cheaper", more inexperienced people.

Re: 'We Have To Turn This Into A Sustainable Business' - Microsoft CEO Discusses Future Of Xbox

oopsiezz

@GuyinPA75 millions more will ditch Xbox if they discontinue gamepass. Gamepass has become synonymous with Xbox, Xbox has become the gamepass box. I know a ton of people that never/rarely buy games, they only play whatever is on gamepass and when something big releases? "I'll wait for it to come to gamepass."

9 years of gamepass has conditioned a segment of the market to expecting a way to access the games they want to play at a much lower and affordable up front cost as the barrier of entry.

Re: 'We Have To Turn This Into A Sustainable Business' - Microsoft CEO Discusses Future Of Xbox

oopsiezz

Spencer told us the business was sustainable though and that gamepass was profitable? This shows Microsoft has been burning money by the truckloads (as suspected) to keep the Xbox division alive with subsidies.

Sucks hearing as a fan of Xbox. Silver lining is after years of hearing some people so adamant that gamepass was sustainable, this is the reality of the situation. Hopefully they start opening their eyes and thinking logically now.

Re: Microsoft Has Considered 'Spinning Out Or Restructuring' Xbox, Claims Report

oopsiezz

Every time man, I swear. Every. Time.

Microsoft / Xbox has their moment where everything starts looking brighter and more promising, then theres always some kind of dream shattering negative news that breaks right after. Layoffs, game cancelations, studio closures etc its always something.

At this point I want less interviews and more action. I don't want to hear how bad the division within the company behind my $600 console and $1000s of invested into said companies ecosystem is doing. This is doing even more harm to the brand, stop it. People who were already on the fence about the future of Xbox and if they were going to continue to stick with it and invest their time and money, this isn't what you want to hear.

Re: Asha Sharma Discusses Why Xbox Decided To Bring Back Exclusives

oopsiezz

So what she is saying is if Helix fails to draw the sales they are looking for, if the platform side of the business doesn't grow to a "healthy" point, we can assume more Xbox games will head to other platforms.

Sorry Asha, I'm not buying a Helix and hoping enough other people do as well so it will have exclusives. I want to know it will have a lot of them.

Re: Poll: Which Was Your Favourite Gaming Event Of The Past Week?

oopsiezz

It's a toss up between a Playstation's State of Play and SGF for me. There was simply more announced at these shows that interested me than what Xbox showed. Unfortunately most of what Sony showed, I won't be able to play until I get a PS6, it's far to late in the gen now to look at a PS5/Pro.

Re: Three Questions We Still Have After The Incredible Xbox Games Showcase 2026

oopsiezz

The show created more questions than it answered. Hopefully their next show makes things more clear on where Microsoft stands when it comes to exclusivity. "Case by case" isn't enough to make me stick with Xbox. I want to know the biggest Xbox games, are going to be Xbox game, not games I can play on PS6. (The console I'm leaning towards next gen.)

Re: 'This Is The Start Of A Program' - Xbox Exec Addresses Questions Around Exclusivity

oopsiezz

Thats a lot of words to say nothing has changed and it's still "case by case". I wish Microsoft was as straightforward and clear with the messaging as Sony is with Playstation exclusives. Wolverine? PS5. Intergalactic? PS5 God of War? PS5 Uncharted? PS5 Spiderman? PS5 etc etc.

When Playstation announces a first party game, I automatically assume its exclusive, Xbox i can never be sure.

Change that Microsoft.

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Xbox Games Showcase 2026?

oopsiezz

@SlipSlot if a console doesn't have exclusives, people will buy a console that does. Because why buy an Xbox to play Xbox games, when I can buy a PS5 and play both Xbox and PS games? (e.g: Xbox console sales plummet during "everything is an Xbox" campaign.)

Less people buy Xbox, less 3rd party developers make games for Xbox, the brand weakens, less people buy Xbox, etc etc. It just leads to the death of the brand, and the industry needs competition.

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Xbox Games Showcase 2026?

oopsiezz

@Tdx The problem is the same today as it was before with Spencer. Microsoft has made it so I don't need an Xbox to play the games I want to play. After spending nearly $600 at the start of this gen on a series X with a promising outlook of outstanding exclusive games thanks to aquisitions like Bethesda, I now feel regret after everything that has unfolded since.

This show did very little to change that feeling. I want exclusives. I want flagship IPs to remain exclusive. I went from PS4 to Xbox One/X to Series X but I am seriously considering going back to Playstation next gen unless things change for the better.

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Xbox Games Showcase 2026?

oopsiezz

Definitely a B show. I would have given it an A rating but I still feel Microsoft doesn't know what they are doing with the exclusivity matter. They either need to fully commit to having exclusives, or don't do them at all.Seeing Master Chief on Playstation is very dissapointing. Being told that Gears E Day is a return to console exclusives, only to find out later a PS5 version has been rated and has a SKU exists tells me this isn't a return to how it was before. State of Decay 3 should be Xbox exclusive. I could go on but overall the games looked great but Microsoft did nothing with this show to rebuild my trust or faith in the brand.

Re: Gears Of War: E-Day Releases October 2026, And It's An Xbox Console Exclusive

oopsiezz

This announcement was made completely irrelevant when hey announced Halo was still going to Playstation unfortunately. Either commit fully to exclusives or don't do them at all. This show has been a Rollercoaster of ups and downs.

Nevermind, looks like Microsoft is pulling a fast one on us. A SKU for Gears E Day PS5 has been found as well as the game recieving a PEGI 18 rating with the listed platforms Xbox, PC, PS5.

Re: Roundup: All The Biggest Xbox Reveals From The Summer Game Fest 2026 Showcase

oopsiezz

A decent amount of games I'm looking forward to playing.

Guild Wars 3 skipping Xbox is another blow. Let me guess, "Series S optimizations isn't worthwhile for a simultaneous release with other platforms so let's not release the game on Xbox at all right now."

Looks like Sony has a deal with the NCSoft. Signed a "strategic partnership" back in 2023 to bring their games to consoles. (PS5 first without any clues how long)

Re: 'Series S Is Making That Rough' - No Rest For The Wicked Dev Shares Update On Xbox Version

oopsiezz

This is becoming too common. Something is clearly off, not every developer has the know-how or resources to make it work obviously. Even Larian needed Xbox engineers / developers to come in to help with the Series S so there is definitely something going on there in the development pipeline.

The fact I won't be able to play this game on my Series X, simply because the Series S can't run it is becoming really old, really fast.

Re: Roundup: All The Biggest Xbox Reveals From June's State Of Play

oopsiezz

That was honestly probably one of the best State of Plays in some time and has made me regret not owning a Playstation even more than before.

Wolverine, Until Dawn 2, Silent Hill, The Lost Wild, No rest for the Wicked & Psi-Ops are all games I would absolutely love to play. This show featured a lot of horror games and they were damn near all exclusive to Playstation. 😫

Xbox needs to come out this weekend with an absolute showstopper showcase. Reveal the games, don't show the Playstation logo anywhere on the show & leave that information for blog posts and articles afterwords. The show will be all the better for it.

Re: Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Launches This October, And It Won't Be On Xbox One

oopsiezz

Gotta admit my interest in CoD has tank to an all time low after it's removal from gamepass. I'm not going to pay $80-$90 for a short single player campaign and a week or two of off & on multiplayer before I get bored / need to make space for new games. Endgame and zombies are the only reasons I have stuck with BO7 so long so without those modes I don't see MW4 lasting long for me.

Re: Talking Point: So, Did You Cave And Buy Early Access For Forza Horizon 6?

oopsiezz

To further elaborate: early access is not worth $80. You are being shafted pre ordering the premium addons bundle. I bought the premium version of FH5 and it took almost a full year for the first expansion to even drop. In that time the premium add on bundle had gone on sale multiple times climbing as steep as 50% off.

You're not getting a deal. You're getting taken advantage of. Simple as that.
