Re: Poll: If You're Buying GTA 6, Are You Getting The Standard Or Ultimate Edition?

oopsiezz

@Quaali Enjoy the spoilers, I guess? There's not place on the internet that will be safe from GTA VI spoilers come November, they will come in like a tidal wave. You won't even have to search for them, everyone will be talking about key story points, characters, locations etc. You could be browsing YouTube like you always do and bam the algorithm hits you with, "This is why Lucia killed Jason at the end of GTA VI" or something along those lines.

Re: Xbox Play Anywhere Deserves Serious Praise After Passing 2,000 Supported Games

oopsiezz

@AI-Generation it is 😅 like the 2024&2025 xbox year in reviews alone (2025 only trueachievements did one) I had 5,652h playtime in 2024 and another 5,000+h in 2025. That excludes sitting on the browser of course. My Xbox has gone through freezing winter temps (poor insulation in my gaming room) and blistering heat of the summer just chugging away without issue. A real testament to the durability of the hardware inside. I do regularly open it up and clean it though so that probably does help.

Re: Here's How The New Xbox Prices Compare To PS5, Switch 2 & Steam Machine

oopsiezz

According to Circana’s monthly analysis, May 2026 was the worst May for Xbox hardware unit sales…ever. What is Microsoft thinking raising the prices by so much? Did they look at Sony's drop of 58% after the price hike in April and say to themselves. "Yeah, we want some of that for our console that's already struggling"????

Re: GTA 6 Is Highlighting A Flaw With The Review System On Xbox

oopsiezz

Lol I knew about this and left a review as soon as pre orders went live in my region. When sorted by most recent, mine shows up as the first / oldest review after scrolling to the bottom. Pretty cool knowing when I go back and edit it after release, I'll be the first review on the store. (Again, in my region)

Re: Xbox Announces Worldwide Price Increases For Series X|S Consoles

oopsiezz

@ElectricWizard Thats the first thing I noticed as well. When you go to sell your Series X now (if you have one) and you purchased it at launch, you now basically get your money back after 6-7 years of gaming on it. Lol

I have always sold my old console for around $150-200 less than the price of a new one.

Re: Xbox Announces Worldwide Price Increases For Series X|S Consoles

oopsiezz

Gamepass revenue is no longer subsidizing hardware losses. With hardware component costs having doubled multiple times, Xbox is moving away from the model of selling consoles at massive losses. This fits perfectly in line with what Satya said earlier this month.

As a series X owner, I actually don't mind to see this. My resale value just went up $100 when I go to sell to upgrade to a PS6 or Helix. $500-600 for a 7-8 year old pre-owned console. I basically get my money back after 7 years of gaming on it. lol

Re: Sony Issues Statement Announcing 'Significant' Job Cuts At Bungie

oopsiezz

The writing was on the wall for Bungie well before Sony ever aquired them.

Aggressive monetization, Sunsetting beloved expansions, quality of newer expansions going lower and lower etc etc

Bungie would have been closed years ago had Sony not stepped in due to high financial burn rate and over-reliance on incubation projects which made the Sony buyout an emergency measure to prevent closure.

Re: Eek, GTA 6's 'Physical Edition' Is A Download Code In A Box

oopsiezz

I'm pre ordering the ultimate edition, theres so many digital perks you get in-game with it. Noticed there's nothing for Online unlike GTA V's collector's and RDR2 Ultimate even had stuff you got for online... There is no way Rockstar is skipping a new iteration of GTA Online surely.

Re: What Does A $1049 Steam Machine Mean For Xbox's Project Helix?

oopsiezz

@sixrings I'm willing to bet Xbox did have a Pro console in the works but after failing to scrape back market share against Playstation and the signs were there early on that Sony was running away with yet another console generation, they shifted priorities to next gen to make the jump in power more noticeable and not incremental. I just don't think Xbox banked on Sony advancing so much, so quickly in machine learning and AI to the point that PSSR 2 is allowing the Pro to achieve some very impressive performance metrics and fidelity.

Re: "The Catalogue Was Just Nowhere Near Good Enough" - Ori Creator Likens Xbox Game Pass To A "Slop Factory"

oopsiezz

@NishimaruX exactly, that's my position. So why are you so bothered by it? I don't care what games, AAA or not, you think are mediocre or good. I think indie games are junk and most don't belong on gamepass. They only serve as filler so Xbox can say "over 400+ games". Sorry that I don't like games that you do, still doesnt make me wrong. We all subscribe to gamepass for different games, I'm free to voice my opinion and complaints when the lineup isn't up to par.

Re: "The Catalogue Was Just Nowhere Near Good Enough" - Ori Creator Likens Xbox Game Pass To A "Slop Factory"

oopsiezz

@NishimaruX Twisting what words? You literally said it 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙𝙣'𝙩 work. I agreed and said why it wouldn't work.

I subscribe month to month and I already know there is nothing but junk coming next month until Halo. I've got FF rebirth, Space Marine 2, KCD2, Helldivers 2, System Shock 2, 007 First Light, Bellwright, Where Winds Meet, Sudden Strike 5, Lego Batman etc etc all in my backlog to play. Xbox will get my money when there's something worth playing again on gamepass.

I love that there was a game called Junkster added this month because that's exactly what I think of June's lineup.

Re: "The Catalogue Was Just Nowhere Near Good Enough" - Ori Creator Likens Xbox Game Pass To A "Slop Factory"

oopsiezz

@shiny-enzo I pay for gamepass and I'm allowed to have my opinion of it and my opinion is that for every AAA game I want to play on the service, theres a dozen junk indie games I have no interest in. This month alone I have only played two games through gamepass, the rest are junk. Who wants to play Solarpunk? Frog Sqwad? Hell no. Make a new tier of gamepass called gamepass indies for that crap.

Re: "The Catalogue Was Just Nowhere Near Good Enough" - Ori Creator Likens Xbox Game Pass To A "Slop Factory"

oopsiezz

@StonyKL No one has the time to play 400 - 600 mediocre games. I have all the time in the world to play good games but when there is a bunch of junk, I'm not playing it. For every Forza, there's a dozen indie slop like Solarpunk, Frog Sqwad, Sledding game etc etc. If gamepass was more consistent with AAA releases it would be better. Instead we have months like June where I have only played two gamepass games (FFVI, CoD Vanguard) and am waiting for RV There Yet.

Re: "They Said That I'm Crazy" - Hideo Kojima Says Many "Big Companies" Rejected His New Horror Game Before Xbox Snapped It Up

oopsiezz

"I pitched to many people, to the big companies, and also to the up-and-coming companies. All of them said the same thing... They said that I'm crazy, and that they really don't understand the concept — that they will not be able to do it."

That doesn't sound like a positive thing to me. The fact Sony of all companies passed on it instead of money hatting another 3rd party exclusive like Death Stranding doesn't fill me with a lot of hope for this one.

Re: Xbox DLC Price Drop Ahead Of Call Of Duty: Black Ops 1 & 2 PS5 Ports

oopsiezz

@EVIL-C at 720p & filled with hackers. Meanhwile these new ports get their own new servers and 4k 60fps. Safe to say there will be no better place to play these classic CoD games than on Playstation if they don't release for Xbox. PC has 4k 60fps+ but they also take the risk of their computers being taken over by hackers just by playing BO1&2.

Re: "The Catalogue Was Just Nowhere Near Good Enough" - Ori Creator Likens Xbox Game Pass To A "Slop Factory"

oopsiezz

I mean he's not wrong. For every "score" for gamepass, there's like half a dozen indie games or AA games I don't touch. For example this month of gamepass alone I have only played FFVI, CoD Vanguard and am waiting for RV There Yet to release. The rest of the lineup this month is not interesting to me at all. (Shift at Midnight would have been another I played but it got delayed.)

Re: Talking Point: How Well Do You Expect GTA 6 To Run On Xbox Series X|S?

oopsiezz

@Master_Cthulhu70 So many people don't realize GTA V enhanced edition uses an updated version of the rage engine that uses features that will be baked into GTA VI. Rockstar literally back-ported features from GTA VI into GTA V, like the ray tracing and reflections with that release. Getting the game to run at 60fps was a huge milestone and proof of concept. I would be shocked if there's no performance mode in GTA VI after all the improvements to the pipeline / engine they have done.

Re: Talking Point: How Well Do You Expect GTA 6 To Run On Xbox Series X|S?

oopsiezz

30fps on Xbox and base PS5 with a performance mode that comes with a lot of drawbacks. 60fps by default on PS5 Pro using PSSR2 and of course will be the best looking version of them all. Series S is going to be very interesting to see how it turns out.

GTA V enhanced edition for PS5/ Xbox Series was Rockstar's testing bed, supporting up to 60fps on consoles. The improvements they made to the engine to get the game running better will directly impact GTA VI performance.
