Re: Xbox's DOOM: The Dark Ages Wins Digital Foundry's 'Graphics Of The Year' Award

I'm in the middle of a playthrough of this on PC via geforce now with everything set to ultra nightmare and all the path tracing / ray tracing options enabled. Gorgeous game. With DLSS quality i'm getting around 103fps at these settings but DLAA takes it all the way down to like 44-60 fps bouncing all over the place.

I have to say I miss the glory kills from Eternal. There's a couple here and there but I miss being able to do them whenever I wanted and how there were different ones for in-front / behind / side of enemies as well as below or above them doing different things as well.

Re: Two PS5 Console Exclusives Are Finally Releasing On Xbox Next Week

These games are hardly anything to get excited over. I always get a good chuckle out of some people making a mountain out of an ant hill though whenever something, anything, moves over from Playstation to Xbox. Five Nights at Freddy's is not, and will never be the same as Halo, Gears & Forza making their way to Playstation along with so many other Xbox games and that's a damn shame.

Re: Xbox Launches New $1 Game Pass Ultimate Offer For The Holidays

It takes like a minute or less to create a new Microsoft account. Just subscribe to Ultimate on a new account and add that account to your Xbox. Gamepass is shared with all other accounts, including your real one / the one you actually use day to day.

I used to abuse the $1 trials this way all the time.

Re: Black Ops 7 Campaign Review (Xbox): Black Ops Pedigree Can't Save This Mess Of A COD Campaign

oopsiezz

@Fiendish-Beaver I would say the campaign is normal. I usually play them on veteran so this one felt pretty darn easy. Endgame provides more difficulty but then becomes trivial when you hit around operator rank 40.(Not your multiplayer rank but each individual operator you can choose has a rank you rank up.) Really every ten ranks each zone in endgame becomes trivial so at rank 10 the enemies in zone 1 become like 1 shot kills or 2-3 something like that depending on your gun of course then rank 20-25 stomps through zone 2 and so on.

On a related note something that's happened to me two times in Endgame now though... there seems to be a bug with exfils. I don't know if it has to do with reaching rank 40 or higher in a round but both times I have reached that operator rank and tried to exfil the damn thing wouldn't work and I died after the timer ran out. I would have at least one or two max rank operators by now if that had not happened lol.

I had an entirely different experience. I played through the campaign solo and ĺoved every second of it. The levels that give you a sniper like the VS Recon were so much fun shooting head after head after hear. Earning both level and weapon XP as well as completing challenges. I haven't even touched the multiplayer or zombies yet and just reached level 40 from campaign + Endgame.

I loved it so much in fact that I purchased the vault edition upgrade because I can already tell I'm going to be sticking with this years CoD for the long haul so long as Endgame recieves updates and support throughout the year. Been hearing rumors or giant bosses and.. dinosaurs? coming to Endgame.

Re: Hit PS5 Exclusive Stellar Blade May Be On The Way To Xbox In The Near Future

@DennisReynolds game becomes profitable shortly after launch, goes on to sell millions more in pure profit. Announces intention to release already profitable game on more platforms, something that takes a very small fraction of total development costs. Spiderman cost like what, 3m to port to PC and 4m for the sequel? Lol

"Sony & Shift Up are desperate for money, they need it to make this game profitable."

Make it make sense.

Re: Sony's Purchase Of Former Xbox Studio Bungie Isn't Exactly Going To Plan

oopsiezz

@TrollOfWar Not to mention the total loss of Xbox's image leading to so many people to ask themselves what the point of owning a Xbox was anymore and hardware sales spiraling downwards at an accelerated rate. Now that gamepass is $30/m even the "it's got gamepass" narrative has fallen apart.

Gone mostly smoothly. Sure, if Microsoft's drive entailed dragging the Xbox brand through the mud and showing no concern or respect for their longest, most loyal fans. They had a very smooth drive.

As for Sony and Bungie, it certainly hasn't gone as planned but something everyone seems to be overlooking, or framing as a bad thing, is that Bungie convinced Sony to cancel multiple live service games, potentially saving hundreds of millions of dollars and another PR nightmare like Concord was.

Re: How To Unlock Forza Horizon 5's New Xbox / PS5 Lamborghini For Free

@fatpunkslim not a single one of the games you listed are or ever were Playstation exclusives. Comparing 3rd party games made and published by companies not owned by Sony to Microsoft releasing Xbox games including flagship titles such as Forza and Gears of War is an incredibly poor comparison. What Xbox has lost is far worse from the perspective of a Xbox fan than some 3rd party games that were known to be timed exclusives on Playstation.

If all of these 3rd party developers are supposedly not making any more timed exclusivity deals for Playstation, why are there so many still coming?

Re: Opinion: If Xbox Is 'Just' A Game Pass Machine, That's Still Enough For Me

oopsiezz

I have no interest in PC gaming so I bought an Xbox to be able to play some of my favorite staple franchises of the brand such as Forza, Halo and Gears of War along with whatever else Xbox had cooking. Now with these games no longer being locked to Xbox and instead releasing on Playstation, I don't see the value in investing in Xbox hardware any longer when I could buy a PS6 and play these Xbox games I have grown to love as well as play some amazing looking Playstation games likes Spiderman, Wolverine, Ghost of Tsushima / Yotei etc that I have missed out on this gen. Gamepass has always been a bonus, something that allowed me to check a game out and if I liked it I bought it, just like I have been purchasing all my games for the past 20+ years. Gamepass is not a very big factor to me and not enough to sway me to stay on Xbox.

Re: South Of Midnight Passes 1 Million Players With The Help Of Xbox Game Pass

oopsiezz

@Balaam_ exactly. So many people seem to have the misconception that because you played it via a subscription service, you're supporting the developer. They always fall back on the deal Microsoft made with the publisher to get the game on gamepass, acting like every game gets a huge amount of cash upfront when in reality each game comes with a different deal. Microsoft's upfront money only covers so many potential sales lost, not every sale.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Still Buy An Xbox At Microsoft's 2025 Prices?

oopsiezz

Personally, no. With more and more games releasing on Playstation I just don't see the value in investing in Xbox hardware any longer when Playstation isn't putting their games on Xbox yet Playstation gets Xbox games & Playstation games. I have already decided that I won't be buying the next gen Xbox and will instead be buying a PS6.
