It has certainly been a restless couple of months waiting for a new look at Fable. So, we're absolutely thrilled by the new gameplay reveal during today's Xbox broadcast.

Fable's official quest gameplay showcases just how beautiful the game looks. Vibrant, colourful, and some absolutely gorgeous lighting effects had us lifting our jaws back up off the ground. In the 18-minute gameplay video, we get a look at the city of Bowerstone, from its busy streets to its charming interiors.

In a quest titled ‘Mud and Death’, The Hero joins the leader of the Heroes’ Guild, Humphry on a trip into a once-flooded, now-haunted mine packed with ghosts and skeletons alike – a perfect place to test out your burgeoning set of combat options.

We've been biting at the bit to see how the combat all comes together. Judging from a scrap with some thugs hassling young Billie to dealing with Slick Ronnie's gang, we're feeling confident Fable's style-weaving combat will be as engaging as it is mouthwatering to look at.

Fable has often felt just out of reach, suffering its delay into February 23, 2027, but we genuinely can't wait for Playground Games' RPG to drop as a day one release on Xbox Game Pass.
