It's such a tough thing to balance all of these games, especially because I play on all consoles. I've kinda given up on the idea of a structured "backlog." It's too much pressure to place on a hobby that's supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable. So, I'm just playing what I want to, when I can. I'd love to play Oblivion and Expedition 33, but it just ain't happening right now. And that's okay!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to play Mario Kart 8, and do my 142nd playthrough of Halo: Combat Evolved

I get the frustration, but this is something that no one is at fault for. Oblivion shadow dropping was the right call. There was no pre-launch discourse of people complaining about changes, or "DEI" or any of the other nonsense that dominates gaming conversations these days. It's just unfortunate that Post Trauma was a victim here. Especially since it actually does look really good!

I know this isn't surprising or a big deal here in 2025, but it's still just a little bit of a reminder where the Xbox ecosystem stands nowadays. sighs

It is kind of remarkable to see the backpedaling that a lot of PlayStation fans are doing after the PS5 presentation last week. My mind is already made up; I'm getting a Series X at launch, but that's mostly for Halo Infinite. At the end of the day, it all comes down to games and performance. Xbox has a really good chance this generation, with all of the studios they've acquired. And it's indisputable that Series X is more powerful. We'll see, man.

Very interesting timing. I finally bought a new Xbox 360, YESTERDAY. I had still been using a Core model from launch, didn't have Wi-fi nor true HD. My Arcade model gave me 7 good years before biting the dust. The Core model is my step-Dads, and works ok. It is super loud and hot however. I've been wanting to update for a while, and finally did so yesterday. And today this happens. Pretty crazy. Great console, and I look forward to having a lot of fun times with it in the future.
