Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra Delayed Out Of 2025, Now Arriving On Xbox In 'Early 2026'

Just over a year ago now, we marvelled (help us) at how good Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra looked when it was unveiled by Amy Hennig's studio Skydance New Media - and as it turns out, the team needs a little more time than planned to make this licensed action-adventure game become a reality.

Taking to social media this week, Skydance has announced that Rise of Hydra will no longer launch in 2025, as initially planned. The team is now aiming for "early 2026" as it starts "taking additional time to add more polish" to the Xbox Series X|S title.

While this delay is undoubtedly disappointing, the team does tease a little more about what's coming next from them. Skydance says it "has some exciting things in store" and "looks forward to sharing more soon" on Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra - we'll be here for that whenever it drops.

Despite this Marvel-flavoured pushback, 2025 still looks pretty darn stacked when it comes to new releases on Xbox Series X|S. For a quick refresher on what is coming to Xbox this year, check out our handy release dates guide down below.
