Xbox's Hellblade 2 Studio Shares Blurred-Out Tease Of New Game

Incredibly, it's been almost a year since Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 was released for Xbox and PC, and developer Ninja Theory is busy working on whatever's next - as shown off in a blurred-out image via social media recently.

You can see this in the tweet below, where the team have gathered together to examine the progress on their upcoming project. Fans are trying to see beyond the blur and reveal their observations, but surely it's pretty impossible!

There's probably a pretty good bet of what this, anyway. Remember Project: MARA? Ninja Theory revealed this game all the way back in January of 2020, and we've basically heard nothing on it in recent years. It's described as a "real-world and grounded representation of mental terror" that aims to "recreate the horrors of the mind".

"Project: MARA is an in-development experimental title that explores new ways of storytelling. Project: MARA will be a real-world and grounded representation of mental terror, based on real lived experience accounts and in-depth research with the aim of recreating the horrors of the mind as accurately and realistically as possible."

It might not be that though! Around this time in 2024, it was reported that Ninja Theory's next game had been greenlit and that it was in addition to Project: MARA, so it sounds like a very busy time for the Xbox studio right now!

Anyway, until we get more details about this, how about voting on your Hellblade 2 thoughts a year on? Are you still enjoying the game, and do you look back on it more or less fondly than you did last year? Let us know in the comments.
