@Kaloudz yeah I think they've really nailed down the core of it, it's time to expand and build on that.

The plague hearts are... Off, they feel like a solution to a problem that we don't see on our metaphorical side of the screen.

@Kaloudz I can not wait to play SoD3. I need to revisit 2 as everytime I finished it they did some massive update that overhauled it.

@Kaloudz I wouldn't be suprised if that was being kept for the summer showcase and then have a deep dive as part of the livestream afterwards.

Gotta say I do think promoting a mystery addition was a good call.

The "problem" with the Xbox Dev directs was that unless your interested in those specific games then there was no reason to watch or get exicted about it (or talk about it online generating interest).

It's nice to have some excitement outside the not-E3 season and game awards.

@Kaloudz I used to live in a sea side town, learnt real quick to never have open food containers. Think I was 5 when I first saw a guy get his burger ripped from his lips, then try and chase them down

The only GP Switch I'd consider making is to PC, it's cheaper but still has the new games.

@Kaloudz that they are but then again at my old place we had ravens that would scream down the chimney if the bird feeder was empty.

@Kaloudz Same here, I'm parked right next to the chimney and the temperature plummets the second the sun stops trying. I ended up getting one if those little tealight heaters. No idea if it's actually warming but I can pretend it is lol

@Kaloudz yeah apprently it's the mechanical part of modules. if they get dropped, clicked at a slightly weird angle, the pad gets left face down, too warm, too cold or basically anything and they just drift.

The hall effect pads use magnetic sensors instead and they can't fail that way (supposedly).

I'm not even sure how I'm the keyboard has changed but I'm hitting B and . When hitting space and spellchecker is apprently blind to rando Bs and .s.

@Kaloudz no slang just phone keyboard updating to be slightly off. Was supposed to be "Doing it"

From what I can tell the only DIY fix is replacing the whole stick module... that said my friend has a rubber band connecting the stick to his little finger that's just the right tension to keep the stick slightly off-center. Seems to work for him, though he dose have to take it off to restore blood flow lol

@Kaloudz that is kinda like doibit in real life with angry squirrels in your trousers.

That's the thing with stick drift it's not a issue, until your playing just the right game for it to be annoying lol

Other than the ammo/damage thing, I really enjoyed it, revisiting a map I knew devastated had a nice impact on me(I didn't even realise I liked Hope County that much).

I'm still disapointed that Farcry 6 didn't get its own Blood Dragon/Primal/New Dawn game. That expansion... wasn't the same.

Love it, shame that due to the pile of drifting Xbox pads I won't buy any that doesn't have hall effect sticks.

I don't see why he'd replay them "now" if a collection is round the corner.

@IronMan30 I would that an Xbox handheld could play my Xbox library as well as my play anywhere titles.

A dual-boot device makes sense. Play your console library on one OS, play everything else on another.

I would be surprised if Starfield runs on Switch 2, well. With all that loading it could be a nightmare if the Switch 2 loads "much" slower.

Would be nice to get the rest of Elder Scrolls and Fallout on Switch 2.

@IronMan30 @Scrubchub at this point I expect the Xbox handheld to "just" be an Xbox branded handheld PC, not an actual handheld Xbox. So supporting Switch 2 wouldn't have effect as it won't have separate game sales to PC.

It'd be weird if Xbox is at the Switch 2 reveal. Like they do the montage of people playing the Switch 2 in it's different forms and then BOOM Halo MCC.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Series S isn't also helping games come to Xbox One/PS4 after their current gent launch (like Jedi 2)

@Deshalu agreed. MS buying them keeps it multiplatform (and MS regains the regional cloud rights to Activision titles) offers the greatest chance of making that money back.

Theres not really a while lot of options from within gaming. Sony or Nintendo buying them means making them exclusives and Ubisoft, who needs to rally, really needs a wide net to recoup all those dev costs.

EA, Valve and Epic are all doing their own thing. Take Two has GTA coming so isn't spending elsewhere. Bandai/Square have been slimming down.

I'm hoping with Disney (reportedly) super happy with Indy and with Blade coming I'm hoping they let Microsoft bring back the Activision Marvel games, either as BC or Remaster (it'd be insane if there was a remaster of Spider-Man 2 GC).

@Banjo- there would have to be one hell of a price cut to justify me remaining subbed if they removed day ones.

@electrolite77 yes, but if what they are paid is less than what they would have earned with the "80% lostvsales" the why be on gamepass? Which was my point, it's one thing to think MS takes a financial hit on a "per game on GP" but third parties? If being on GP is a financial hit, they wouldn't be on GP.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was a side effect of low console sales interacting with 'healthy' gamepass subs.

@Coletrain yeah it'd be one thing for MS to take a hit having their games on gamepass, but if being on gamepass is such a hit then third parties would stay away.

It would make sense to get something Elder Scrolls out, ES6 is still years away and it's been a long time since ES has been anything but Skyrim and ESO.

Funny but not really want I wanted to see from Hyperkin, I was REALLY hoping for a refresh of their 360 pad, the current one doesn't have hall effect sticks (Something their Duke and Duchess pads do)

I'd expect it to appear at Not-E3 and probably not with a release date.

I only bought a few games this year on Xbox.
LaD, Dogma 2, Veilguard Shadows of Doubt, Alan Wake 2.

Bought much more across Quest, Switch, PC and retro (recent boguth and replayed King Kong, held up remarkably well). I would have got more on Xbox but MS has been rather clear about not wanting my business on console, so spent that money elsewhere.

I did get one XB game in physical this year an Xmas gift.

An Xbox handheld has to be able to play console games (without streaming). If it's "just" a handheld PC then it'll be lost against the rival handheld PCs that are cheaper or more powerful.

Give me a handheld that gives me my full library and I am there, regardless of how well Xbox is doing

@jesse_dylan it did appear on the offical documents but that was dated from before they was bought by MS.

I wouldn't be suprised if it existed at one point but was cancelled.

Xbox sales have been plummeting every quarter ever since they wanted to by Activision and had to fight all the regulators and their only defense was "we need them to compete, we all ready lost".

Turns out taking a world tour to say your platform sucks isn't great for the platform a d the current "no exclusives" push isn't helping.

I'm sure there will be a next Xbox but I don't see that helping. We need to make sure Third party support stays solid, if that slips we know we're heading to Wii U, Dreamcast, and Vita town.

For me the advert is dumb because cloud streaming is tied to Gamepass Ultimate.

@sixrings They'd also get less from your purchase of their game on PS as Sony would take their licencing cut and if you buy it digitally they also get the retailers' cut too.

It occurs to me that Xbox probably isn't going to be having third party exclusives either, wonder if that's going to benefit Sony or Nintendo more.

Xbox is gonna have to do alot to convince me to buy the next Xbox. Might aswell use that money upgrading my PC. I would save money on GP as I wouldn't need ultimate for day ones and I'll have access to the games Sony ports on PC too.

@UndyingInsurgent95 I doubt they'll do romance, not sure they've had a game with one in since Kotor 2 (and even then I was very minor compared to biowarès Kotor 1)

Yesterday I contacted support about the Horrizon 4 offer. They asked for the order number of the expansion pass, I found it sent it and they said it didn't exist.

Spent an hour telling them I could see it on my orders, gave them the date it was ordered the billing address and last 4 digits of the card that used it, took screen shots of it but nope.

"Doesn't exist" and they refused to do anything.

I have to give WB props here, they might have jumped into that live service pool and sank but at least they aren't letting it drown (giving it an offline mode)
@shoeses I hope that Multiverses gets a similar treatment. I'd happily pay for a version without the LS stuff.

Considering how much a of a quiet night the game awards are going to be for Xbox, I would assume they'd have a bunch of announcements just to be part of the conversation.
I'd annouce the backwards compatibility program is back even if its secretly just the Activision titles they now own.
