The next cod is rumoured to be another cross gen game aswell code named 'cerberus' makes sense not moving on to 'next gen' if once the acquisition goes through they'll be legally required to do native versions of cod on Nintendos hardware with the same release date as other platforms

@S1ayeR74 they can have it on ps plus if they're willing to pay an enormous fee for it to be included which would be moronic as it would just cannibalise sales (as Activision themselves have said lol)

@Jarobusa they wouldn't cut cod off playstation , it makes the most money on that console sure they could do it out of spite so Sony doesn't get the 30% from sales made on the ps store but then they'd be losing the 70% they get they wouldn't gain anything by cutting off playstation I doubt it would sell many more Xbox consoles since it will be on gamepass , geforce now & Nintendo eventually

@Martsmall we know they won't remove cod from playstation though it makes far too much money through its £70 price tag & then all MTX on top of it

@NEStalgia if 'switch 2' or whatever nintendos next console is is powerful enough to run new cod games without putting too much money into developing a separate switch version then cod would be releasing on Nintendo anyway they wouldn't need a 10 year contract lol

@JayJ I've never been riled up over cod I've consistently said its spyro & crash bandicoot games that I care about & the only game being mentioned is cod

So crash bandicoot , spyro , Tony hawk's etc could very well still be on the chopping block for Nintendo & playstation but hey Nintendo will get gimped versions / cloud versions of call of duty so they can gouge Nintendo players with their MTX ... What a great deal

@Kaloudz if you're using Nvidia geforce to stream games you'd be able to just stream them using Xbox game pass it's pretty pointless lol

Apparently both Xbox series X & S are getting a price increase in Sweden are they just rolling out price increases to different countries gradually 🤷‍♂️

@cragis0001 yeah just checked you're right it was initially coming to Xbox & last gen consoles but they obviously changed that & with it being published by Sony I'd say they probably provided alot of money to get the game finished

@Gamingforlife theres a big difference between a years timed exclusivity & buying a publisher & completely cancelling a release on another platform & project eve or stellar blade as it is now called was funded by Sony that's why they're the publisher of the game

@Friendly because they bought starfield while it was in active development for Xbox pc & playstation then shut down development of the playstation version as soon as they acquired them , Spider-Man was offered to Microsoft who declined then offered to insomniac who agreed , 2 completely different scenarios

Unsurprising I'm sure a proper remake of the original with some qol improvements would've done much better

@xxk7xx I hadn't even heard of EA play pro before had to look it up & it's only on pc where alot of EA games get cracked anyway & it's £90 a year as opposed to standard EA play which is £20 a year lol

@Snake_V5 I don't do mobile gaming so I don't know but I thought Activisions mobile division (King I think it's called) dwarves cod for consoles so that would be what they'd mainly want then they could extend their subscription service to mobile for people that are addicted to games like candy crush lol

@Azathoth I think they should be required to hand over all that information in their court case over the acquisition then regulators can say weather or not Sony & other companies that aren't as big could compete

The subscription model does work for indie games (aslong as there's enough people willing to subscribe for Indies)

The Simpsons is way past it's prime as a TV show I think the franchise could really shine with more video game adaptations though aslong as they use classic episodes as inspiration

@Green-Bandit I'm looking forward to gears 6 & hellblade 2 didn't really like fallout 4 despite liking fallout 3 same with Skyrim despite liking oblivion , if they finally get rid of the outdated engine & the games don't run like crap then I'll check the new ones out when they finally come

@Green-Bandit I dunno , they've said he'll stick around for a while after the acquisition & report to Phil Spencer so I know they won't immediately fire him I reckon he'll have something in the terms for buying them that he has to stay their for atleast 10 years (10 years is just a joke because of the proposed deal with playstation & nintendo lol) & I dunno about smaller titles the cod campaigns are already really short & I'm not really attracted to any gamepass titles

@S1ayeR74 'and regularly create deals to forcefully keep games or features off other platforms' you do realise that Microsoft has had every opportunity to do that it's not like they don't have the money they're a trillion dollar company they've just decided over the past few years to start competing again & to a trillion dollar corporation that means buying the biggest publishers to get a head start

@Green-Bandit we all know Activision is greedy so it's not much of a surprise that they'll be saving content for their new 'premium' game this year that will just be another modern warfare (I wanted more of the campaign I loved it but the multiplayer is extremely light on content considering the price increase the rumours of a 2 year development cycle etc) if Activision becomes a more consumer friendly company after the acquisition then I'll welcome it I doubt they'll change much though because why change what makes alot of money & they darent say a bad word about Bobby so I doubt they fire him

@Green-Bandit it's fair to have differing opinions the campaign I'm probably saulty about them killing off cortana out of the game & starting again (I liked 4 & 5) the multiplayer however I think was terrible way less content than they were hyping with the millions of customization options or whatever it was they said & that's no where near as important as having a good amount of maps & there's very few , I feel the same about mwII for £70 I was expecting more

@Moonglow whenever I criticize an Xbox game on this site I get labelled as a Sony fanboy , you mentioned the multiplexer getting players choice award which is a very good indication of the fanboyism this game had , it wasn't 'the halo infinite multiplayer beta' that won the players choice award it was just halo infinite when it wasn't out & the multiplayer had been out for like 2 weeks & extremely bare bones , if you want to talk about gears 5 I'll happily tell you that was a goty contender when it came out but halo infinite was just a huge disappointment especially with the huge budget it was allocated & it was marketed as 'the biggest halo yet'

@Banjo- the campaign was very generic & copy paste environments not what you'd expect from the budget they used , the multiplayer was bare bones & unfinished , the graphics are almost Xbox 360 era , forge & online co-op didn't come until a year later & local multiplayer was cancelled after they promised it would be in the game....

@old-dad I have no doubt that both playstation & Xbox do shady deals behind the scenes so I think it would only be right that they both be required to air their dirty laundry

@Banjo- you're the one saying Nintendo & playstation games get higher praise than they deserve , I gave you an example of an Xbox game that got inflated review scores

@Banjo- I disagree , halo infinite is a great example of a very mediocre game getting glowing reviews because it's Xbox & halo

If they're demanding Sony share all this information then shouldn't they also share all the same information in court (I don't know if they are I'm just curious)
