@Baler because Microsoft made a promise when it released the one X that it wouldn't release games exclusively for it (leaving behind the Xbox one) same with the PS4 pro & more recently the Xbox series X/S

@BAMozzy 'now I can play games I want at no extra cost and wait for games I have to buy to drop in Price so I doubt I'll be playing those games when I have Game Pass options' don't you think that's an example of how gamepass could have a negative effect on the industry in the long term

@BAMozzy I think we should take into consideration that Microsoft has many more studios than both sony & Nintendo especially after their zenimax purchase also the first half of 2023 is absolutely packed with big releases so it's a good thing they aren't releasing anything in that time period imo as I think most gamers will be busy with Hogwarts legacy , dead space remake , re4 remake , dead island 2 etc

@Cyberpsycho & the digital deluxe edition of dead space remake is £80 😂

@BAMozzy 'And don't forget those 3 games were also 'delayed' into 2022 - so if they had released 'on time', it would of been a barren year for Playstation Studio's too.' assuming the whole COVID situation never happened who's to say those game wouldn't have released on time & this year would've seen some big games that will now be releasing next year

@themightyant yeah I remember now they talked about the dedicated audio chip when they did the Dev rundown & how it frees up resources by doing all the audio stuff directly from it

@Savage_Joe I knew there were special headphones with 3d audio but I'd never heard of something making standard stereo speakers use it I guess that was just some clever marketing

@JetmanUK I'd never heard of it before got a ps5 a few weeks ago & the 3d audio is really cool can tell the difference through my standard TV speakers

@Titntin Microsoft is wanting to make their games pc & Xbox & then any device with gamepass on it but I'm not a fan of subscriptions or cloud gaming so I couldn't care less about streaming the games on my mobile or whatever & I'm not sure they will fire Bobby with Phil being all buddy buddy with him in that interview they did & they've said he'll be staying on for a while after the acquisition

@Snake_V5 this mentions 'Activisions games' instead of just call of duty hopefully that means crash & spyro will still be multi platform

@Kaloudz I think once the acquisition is through Sony will just have to accept that 'the best place to play' cod won't be playstation they wouldn't stop selling it on playstation because they want it on as many platforms as possible to sell the microtransactions/ dlc on top the £70 game I can see them pushing for Xbox live integration though

@Kaloudz spyro & crash are the only games I'm concerned about they're 2 of my favourite IPs have fond memories of playing the originals on the PS1 & I've just got a ps5 so if Microsoft make them exclusive I'll be pissed lol

Xbox players will be absolutely LIVID if this deal goes through & they didn't put them on gamepass , if they're planning a future under Microsoft then they should be planning to launch games on gamepass lol

@Gr81 whilst I don't like the idea of these perks from marketing deals I think it's better than than the alternative of just buying the entire publisher & then having all the IPs subject to Microsofts terms

@Gr81 'They made it clear they want Xbox to have no special perks (like Sony enjoys now) ' .. Microsoft had perks when it came to cod & could've had them again by outbidding Sony when the marketing deal was up for grabs again but they decided it wasn't worth it lol

@ValentineMeikin may I point out that Sony funded street fighter V & that game wouldn't have been made if it wasn't for that funding exactly the same as dead rising 3 except capcom kept the publishing rights for street fighter V lol
