I saw a lot of hype around this one yet it flopped. I thought Sony player base was going to make it a success as this game favoured PS5. Reality is very harsh.
After the behemoth that is Elden Ring this game is going to feel odd. But given their track record I'm excited. And hope this game is for the hardcore gaming audience who appreciate this kind of unforgiving gameplay. There's not much good titles in this genre.
If all of this really drop this year I don't think I'll have the time to play and finish 5 games. I'd be surprised if Hellblade 2 drops this year. Otherwise Starfield, Jedi Survivor , Hogwarts Legacy, Stalker 2 and Atomic Heart are my top picks. But if I get the time then Avatar, Mirage, Replaced, Lies of P, Wo long. That's a stacked year. Hopefully everyone have a wonderful year.
The gloves are coming off. I like that. Exclusivity isn't the problem as without exclusive no platform will stay afloat. But blocking games from competition is anti trust. Who knows Microsoft may sue Sony for their behaviour under anti trust law.
Embracer Group has grown exponentially for the last few years. But it may come to bite them back really soon. Most of their recent in house games had been mediocre. I don't care about most of their in house Devs or their games. But they've 4A Games with amazing Metro Series, Warhorse Studio with brilliant Kingdom Come deliverance and Crystal Dynamics and Eidos and also lord of the rings publishing right. They were releasing amazing games before acquisition so I'd like to see them keep up their good works. I have a feeling if Microsoft is successful in Activision merger then they might pick up Crystal Dynamics and Eidos which was a missed opportunity cause of unfortunate timing. And recently Amazon made Rings of Power so who knows what Amazon is also thinking about.
It's as close as I can get a sequel to Odd world Stranger's Wrath ( Classic Masterpiece). But damn didn't expect this harsh review. Gotta try anyway to see how it suits me.
I'm a PC guy if I don't see game released simultaneously on PC and Consoles I don't play that game at all. Simple as that. Sony may make some of the best games in the industry but their business practice doesn't ring with me. So yeah Sony can drown in their own misery once this deal goes through.
I am eagerly waiting for Jedi Survivor. But didn't expect it'd be darker and grittier and more mature than Fallen Order. Can't get my hand on it soon enough 😋
@Titntin I have played Halo Infinite both single player and multiplayer but didn't need to spend a single dime to have a great experience. Same goes for Deathloop, psychonauts 2, Age Of Empires 4, Forza Horizon 5. But Halo Infinite multiplayer did get negative feedback for microtransaction and I think they've solved some of the issues but then again it's a free to play multiplayer. How are they going to earn the money they are spending. Last time I checked Microsoft isn't a charitable organisation.
The game isn't mind-blowing in terms of visual fidelity. In my opinion the game feels really last gen specially lighting and shadow feel outdated. And Flying Wild Hog has really delivered some good looking game than this previously such as shadow warrior 3. I'm a bit disappointed because it's a linear game. But all things aside gameplay is a blast. Everyone should give it a try. And on the consoles it has frame pacing issue which From Software still hasn't figured out how to solve. So a AA studio gets a pass in my opinion.
@Dezzy70 Bethesda games doesn't need to copy anyone nor they have to look like other games in terms of graphics. If you like graphics more than everything then go play those games with catchy graphics. Bethesda games have never been about graphics. Their game world has always been fascinating and the amazing lore. If they can get the dialogue system better than Fallout 4 and better RPG mechanism like Oblivion many of us fans would be over the moon. And the initial gameplay trailer looked really promising. I'm really hopeful Starfield will turn out great.
It's a really sad situation because Doom wouldn't have made a huge impact on it's resurgence without the brilliant soundtrack by Mick Gordon. Thanks ID and Mick for rejuvenating this legendary franchise to a new height.
What's amazing is that all talk COD makes it that much easy for Xbox to make other Activision Blizzard title to be exclusive without even scrutiny. Diablo, Star Craft, Crash Spyro Warcraft and so on. Just give PlayStation COD and let other ip become exclusive to Xbox ecosystem.
Wasteland 3 was a masterpiece. I've played many RPGs over the years but it was probably the most masterfully crafted one. The writing the story the music dark humor wonderful character beautiful world it had all. I wish them all the best. I'd really love to see what they can do with the help of Microsoft and Xbox.
Well that's a stretch you can't get into a market store that offers millions of games with a handful of mobile games that may come from Xbox studios. Then again I'd like to see them try but it's a duopoly as it stands and not gonna change in near future.
Sony is going to lose a big casual gamer market and that's why they're loosing their mind. Even they profit immensely from store purchases and everything which is going to see a steep decline. Yet Nintendo is managing just fine without a single COD in years. It's really getting frustrating at this point.

Well Microsoft played the 'Trump' card. This is good for everyone. It's most likely the merger is a done deal.

Throw a carrot ( Call of Duty) in front of the mule ( PlayStation ) and bag everything else. Nice job Microsoft.
