I expect no announcements or anything special from Microsoft.

After 20 plus years of Xbox live/gold etc Im calling it a day as the subscription is just too expensive. I may occasionally pick up the odd month around Christmas or holidays if something peaks my interest but as of mid October when my subscription lapses that's it.

It's been a good run.

Well stuff that. That's me done with Gamepass after this month.

Although any new title added to play anywhere is welcome. It would be nice if they were to add older titles to the service. There are quiet a few titles which have a PC and Xbox version and making these Play Anywhere would be great.

How about letting us choose "No ads"

I have a 1TB expansion card and then two 4Gb external drives with one been exclusive for my 360 compatible games.

To many to say but Burnout Revenge, The OG Battlefront games as well as Sensible Soccer and Geometry Wars are regulars that I come back too.

I just wished these were available to download rather than stream. It just seems a massive waste of resources to stream a game that is just a few kB.

Started this yesterday and the combat very much reminds me of Lost Odyssey. Looking forward to delving back into the game tonight

My obligatory yearly post in that despite all the years on xbox live i have never got any free vouchers from microsoft.

Very occasionally I will put it on but the game didn't seem to click with me in the same way Horizon 4 and its prequels did.

Nice, but would rather have RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 and 2 collection that just released for the Switch

@Banjo- It seems for me to be the EA games at the moment. Grid Legends, Burnout Paradise and Peggle (playing with our youngist). Minecraft Dungeons didnt appear but has now so will see if others do at a later date. Crash team racing appeared which I owned so there is hope it might get sorted

@Banjo- Tried a couple of games I own now that are also on Gamepass and some show but others dont.

Whats annoying is that any game you own thats on gamepass doesnt get included in your gamepass games you have played. The only games that would add to my total was gamepass titles I didnt own.

As others have said I call BS on not getting other titles. Its frustrating because many Microsoft games never came to back compat and we saw no new Activision games that could have come after the merger. It was a great feature but lets be honest the last update was in November 2021 the one before that was in summer 2019 when the regular weekly / fortnightly updates ended. As much as it was a consumer friendly thing to do and Microsoft was rightly praised for it. Since 2021 they are the only console manufacturer that hasn't added any new legacy titles to its storefront or subscription service. I hope this eventually changes but we all know that it wont.

Could be good as a soloution but they need to add more games on a regular basis. Dont know why though, but I get the strange feeling that this is how back compat will be delivered in the next xbox console.

Just like everything else he spouts it will probably never arrive.

Although a great outcome I would imagine that by the time it comes out on Xbox anyone wanting this would have purchased elsewhere.

I genuinely think MS dont care about Xbox now.

Another big eff you by Microsoft. Dont worry though Microsoft as Im nerfing my gaming time and spending on Xbox by concentrating and spending my money on other platforms.

Somehow I dont think increasing prices will help either.

This doesnt suprise me to be honest. I had actually turned off my auto renewal a couple of days back and looking at this I am glad I have. Realistically any game thats on game pass that i want I would be able to pick up for the monthly fee or less anyway and with my online gaming days long behind me then the cheaper options offer me no benefits at all.

Oh well its been a good run.

Left PES after it moved to the free to play model.So decided to download this for a try. Started the game and saw there was no single player option so deleted. Cant stand the fact that a single player option in a sports game is an afterthought. Maybe it will change as its only a beta at the moment.

With exception of the 360 they have all been really well built and reliable.

And with the way that Microsoft are doing everything possible to shoot themselves in the foot and destroy the Xbox brand it could be 10 to 1 by Christmas.

More back compat games would be nice. Plus get as much Activision and Microsoft back catalogue as you can on the store. I get there are licensing issues but why were OG Fable, Halo and others not included.
Make more games available to purchase too, It would be nice to get a digital purchase of Ridge Racer and try and add titles back on the store such as Halo. Why was Halo removed with next too no notice.
Finally, promote and advertise the back compat and put money in to getting older titles available. Pay Sega, Ubisoft etc to let you add titles as would live to play the old school Rainbow six and Ghost Recon again.

Currently playing Burnout revenge. Shame servers are down now as that was always a blast.

And they wonder why Warner Brothers is hemorrhaging money and struggling.

Wny not deny the rumours instead of making us wait a week.I honestly think they have been caught out by all these leaks and are panicking by putting this message out.

Think Spencers days are done for at Xbox though.

Way to many physical OG Xbox and 360 games but only a handful of physical for Xbox one and Series X. Sadly since most titles are constantly updated or added to and the fact that games are mainly online there is no sane reason to buy physical anymore.

Hard to say as such a great generation.

1v100 - Great game and its live service elements were ahead of its time and would work today.

Bioshock - Amazing game that never was topped by its sequels

Gears 2 - A sequel which improves everything with amazing online play to boot.

Geometry Wars - The og xbox live arcade game. Cheap, good and hard to master. Still play every now and then and still holds up. One of the few games the wife used to play on the 360 too.

Lost Odyssey - Wonderful RPG that for me ranks as one of the best.

PGR 3 and 4 - Some of the best driving and had many awesome sessions of Cat and Mouse and Last Man Standing with top end cars v mopeds 😀

Wow, so many amazing gamrs and I can name so many more. Great games and one of the best consoles ever.

How about Onimusha and Dino Crisis remakes too.

Noticed over the last few weeks that the "view a game for points" on the xbox store have practically disappeared

@Meehanuk_1987 Defo agree there. The highlight for the year on Xbox was Hifi Rush. Everything else has dissapointed or been subpar. Not really into openworld RPGs like Starfield but yeh not a great year. Tbh for me this year the Switch has probably been the best of the three and has blitzed it with there releases.

Without question it was the 360 era.

Always tempted by new consoles but what really drove me to picking up the OG Xbox was seeing Championship Manager available for the Xbox. However, seeing preview footage for the upcoming Splinter Cell as well as gameplay for PGR, Jet Set Radio Future and Panzer Dragoon Orta pretty much sealed the deal.

Nice. I keep meaning to try this out sometime.

Not a fan of this update at all. Tons of clutter which can't be removed. If we could customize and get rid of the intrusive ads etc then it would be OK. Sadly that's probably not going to happen.

@Raffles I wished Ridge Racer 6 was purchaseable in the EU too.

Yeah it was a great announcement and feature but then they canned it. A shame really but maybe just maybe with the ActiBlizzmerger we can see some titles added.

Hoping that a free trial period is offered as the cloud aspect could be a concern for many gamers. Especially if they have to pay upfront for something that might not work well.

Some nice reveals but with the exception of Starfield and Forza coming this year most of the reveals were either coming 2024, Coop or expansions to existing titles. Also was kind of hoping for Hexen thanks to the T Shirt he was wearing at the end.
