Re: Ubisoft Wants Players To 'Feel Comfortable Not Owning Games' In Future

Spider-Kev

@OldGamer999
I'm 43 and I feel the complete opposite to you.
I hate digital/Streaming!
I want to own. I want to see what I've spent my hard earned money on!

I do like gamepass because it will let me try a game and see if it's any good before I buy it physically.
That Ghost game in Japan sounded great but I didn't enjoy it so I'm glad I didn't buy it.

TMNT Shredder's Revenge... I played it with my wife, we both enjoyed it. I just bought the Anniversary edition for the Switch, physically!

I have over 10,000 Blu-ray, 1,000 4kUHDs and about 800 DVDs.
I no longer have a CD collection, I got rid (sold) of them close to 20 years ago.

You can't sell off a streaming collection. It's a waste of money.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 6-7)

Spider-Kev

I'm tempted to buy Grand Theft Auto Trilogy for the Series X but I can't find a real answer online. googleFu, bingFu, Pure XboX forums, there's no answer that I have found.
If I buy the Physical Edition from Best Buy, Wal*Mart, Target, will the case contain a Disk/Disc or a Download Code?
If it is a Disk, I'll get it now, if it is a Code, I will wait for a sale!
If it is a Disk, are all the games on it, or does it require a download anyway?
updates or glitch fixes not counting...

Thank you all for your time and help and knowledge!

Re: Xbox Fans Left With Questions Following Strange 'Marvel's Blade' Reveal

Spider-Kev

@neufel @Burnfeeling
Sony leases the movie rights of Spider-Man from Marvel/Disney.
They don't own it.
Marvel/Disney owns the Character.
Sony used to have the TV right but lost/renegotiated them.
Sony used to take a percentage of merchandise profits as well but no longer do.
The only other thing Sony does have is a contract for a lease on exclusive home/stationary console games. It is why Spider-Man didn't show up in Avengers on XboX.

The terms of the lease are better than the ones everyone else were given.
Fox and Universal both had to have a movie hit theaters in a certain amount of time or they'd lose the lease rights. It's why Marvel and now Disney have most of the Characters movie/TV/Game rights back

Re: Best Buy Will Reportedly Stop Selling Physical Media Next Year

Spider-Kev

Amazon ONLY matches Best Buy, Walmart and Target for movie/tv DVD/Blu-ray/4kUHD prices.
Now that Best Buy is bowing out (which really sucks) all that's left is Target and Walmart.
Once those two stop, don't expect decent prices at Amazon.

I am a 100% physical media dude.
I don't stream anything.
I'd rather OWN than rent!
If I want to watch something, I don't want to be dependent on an internet connection.
Physical movies/shows have better video and audio than any streaming service.
Also with physical, you get alternate cuts of movies and episodes that never show up on streaming sites.

Re: Assassin's Creed Mirage Seems To Have Turned Out Great On Xbox Series S

Spider-Kev

Chasing 60frames per second is a joke.
Anyone who cares about 60fps isn't a real gamer.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with 30frames per second.
Hell, movies and tv are at 24 and those look fine!

And before anyone comes in with lag and multiplayer nonsense, thumbs and hand/mouse/keyboard can't move/be moved that fast to keep up naturally, it's why you have to adjust camera and pointer sensitivity.

If everything and everyone was at 30 you'd all be fine.
