Microsoft Signs Deal To Bring Paramount Plus To Xbox In Many More Countries

Well, this is pretty cool if you're a fan of Paramount Plus! It's been announced today that Microsoft and Paramount have teamed up to bring the service to Xbox in many more countries around the world.

Specifically, Paramount Plus will be accessible on Xbox in Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latin America (including Brazil), Switzerland and the U.K. as part of this partnership.

Here's what Paramount's Angela Heckman had to say about today's announcement (thanks, Variety):

"Our goal is to make Paramount+’s popular content, characters and franchises available to an expanded audience."

We're assuming this means the official Paramount Plus app will become available on the Xbox Store to everyone in these countries moving forward, although obviously it won't be free - aside from the seven-day trial the service offers.

We do also sometimes see free trials for Paramount Plus being offered as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks, so perhaps we might see something in the near future... that'd be a nice way to entice people to sign up!
