Hogwarts Legacy, simply because it's the only free game that even remotely interests me on my (downgraded) Game Pass Premium. I'm about two hours into it and it's actually quite entertaining, even if very verbose.

I welcome Avowed 2 with open arms.

ME1-3 are the best things I've played on my Xboxes. Andromeda isn't awful, but I couldn't muster up enough enthusiasm to even finish it. Hoping ME5 delivers like the original trilogy. I don't care how long we'll have to wait.

I feel nothing because, after three years, I'm no longer subscribed to Ultimate.

I dropped it after about an hour or a little over that because it wasn't much fun to play. Hot take? Maybe, but it's what happened.

That's a game with poor word of mouth that thoroughly surprised me. I enjoyed playing it a couple of years ago, but haven't returned to it since, so it's not exactly a tragedy. I feel for those (probably not many) who were still having fun with it, though.

So, it was just, um, 65% fake. This is disappointing to learn.

@NishimuraX The fallacy is positing that console gamers are resistant to PC just because of the price.

PD was my most anticipated game, bar none.

The brutal news today is making me rethink my optimistic views on the future of Xbox for the first time.

Not feeling it at all, but it's too soon to dismiss altogether.

@Nintendo4Sonic Of course, nobody can play 800 games a month, much like someone who pays for a streaming service cannot watch thousands of movies a month.

I pay for whatever games I can play - been doing so for three years without regrets. GamePass is an excellent deal that meets my needs and the reason why I'm still an Xbox owner.

It's hilarious that the site asks readers to give their opinions on the game, and then the X-Box haters start whining about sales.

Anyway, this is only the second Doom game I've played (the first was the 2016 one), and all I'll say so far is that Dark Ages is automatically better due to not forcing so much platforming on the player. Currently on chapter eight.

It's too soon for articles like this. Next to nothing is known about the next-gen Xbox. We can only speculate.

The negative nancies have decided that the Series S and X are the last gaming hardware Microsoft will ever produce because of the "going multiplat" strategy. They know the business inside out, you see, so they know better than the people who actually work in the industry.

As long as GamePass is a thing, the Xbox is a very desirable option for gamers like me who do not mind owning titles digitally or "renting." Actually buying stuff full-price without being able to sample them is not viable for me.

I'm baffled that so many here don't understand that. Whether there are exclusives or not makes no difference to some of us, and whether or not the number of GamePass subscribers has plateaued or not is relevant only to Microsoft.

If they dialed back the platforming, I'm in.

I'd love it if it were a new Dead or Alive game.

@BacklogBrad Why are you so bent out of shape over this matter? The author wishes to be given the CHOICE not to play against mouse & keyboard PC gamers. Do you know what a choice is? Nobody is advocating "punishing" anybody.

Unless this "next generation" is just a handheld, can we finally stop saying there will be no more Xbox consoles?
