Game Pass has been great for me despite some dry spells. Usually there's at least one or two games I like to try among all the ones that don't interest me.

As for the guy whose quote this article is about, he formulates his opinion stupidly; therefore any validity to his criticism gets lost in the noise. I'll bet 10 bucks the dude doesn't even know what Communism is.

I've returned to The Outer Worlds after three years to play the DLCs, which I bought after completing TO2.

@AverageGamer They phase out Game Pass, I'll be out, and I'm sure plenty of others will, too. Game Pass is Xbox's main attraction and what differentiates it from the other consoles.

The price reduction is active in my country. Thinking about subscribing to Ultimate again soon. Welcome news. Not gonna lie: I didn't think they'd back down on the price hike.

I actually bought it in December after waiting years for it to hit GamePass. Joke's on me. Played it for about five hours earlier this year before giving up. Too cumbersome for its own good. The player barely has time to get used to a gameplay element before another complex one is introduced. Even the graphics aren't really noteworthy. Story and characters didn't grab me at all. Rated it a 5/10 in the poll.

The problem with PC players is that their advice is almost always unsolicited and patronizing. Then, when they hear that console gamers are actually satisfied with their platform of choice despite some imperfections, they act offended. A gaming PC isn't necessarily everybody's dream purchase.

Good. There's still plenty for the Series X to offer. I dare say its best days are ahead of it.

All I'm gonna say is that my excitement for the NextBox has subsided considerably since the GamePass price hike. I've scaled back to Premium, and it's just not as good (obviously).

Happy to see Avowed in there. It took me a while to get invested in it, but it ultimately won me over in a big way.

Hogwarts Legacy, simply because it's the only free game that even remotely interests me on my (downgraded) Game Pass Premium. I'm about two hours into it and it's actually quite entertaining, even if very verbose.

I welcome Avowed 2 with open arms.

ME1-3 are the best things I've played on my Xboxes. Andromeda isn't awful, but I couldn't muster up enough enthusiasm to even finish it. Hoping ME5 delivers like the original trilogy. I don't care how long we'll have to wait.

That's a game with poor word of mouth that thoroughly surprised me. I enjoyed playing it a couple of years ago, but haven't returned to it since, so it's not exactly a tragedy. I feel for those (probably not many) who were still having fun with it, though.

I pay for whatever games I can play - been doing so for three years without regrets. GamePass is an excellent deal that meets my needs and the reason why I'm still an Xbox owner.

Anyway, this is only the second Doom game I've played (the first was the 2016 one), and all I'll say so far is that Dark Ages is automatically better due to not forcing so much platforming on the player. Currently on chapter eight.

The negative nancies have decided that the Series S and X are the last gaming hardware Microsoft will ever produce because of the "going multiplat" strategy. They know the business inside out, you see, so they know better than the people who actually work in the industry.

As long as GamePass is a thing, the Xbox is a very desirable option for gamers like me who do not mind owning titles digitally or "renting." Actually buying stuff full-price without being able to sample them is not viable for me.

I'm baffled that so many here don't understand that. Whether there are exclusives or not makes no difference to some of us, and whether or not the number of GamePass subscribers has plateaued or not is relevant only to Microsoft.

If they dialed back the platforming, I'm in.
