Let Xbox do what they are doing. Letting their vast studios make creative and immersive games. Also expounding on GP as incredible as it already is. I've always said this about Xbox ever since they (Xbox) wanted to make an Uncharted equivalent. Just make a cool adventure game.

Still, we're not going to act like Xbox wouldn't profit hugely from having these hero types of games on GP.

@Trmn8r That's a good question. It would definitely still honor the console exclusive agreement. That's an interesting question. Also, it would be crazy if it were to win GOTY. I'm sure the narrative would be that it wasn't an Xbox title when the deal was done. Which that's technically true.

@LtSarge C'mon man. This isn't the same as MS buying Zenimax. This is more akin to MS acquiring PlayGround and Undead. Now if Sony purchased Square...then I would agree.

Insomniac was mostly developing for Sony before the Sunset Overdrive. I get both sides to this. This acquisition from Sony ain't hurting Xbox in the least. Zenimax definitely hurt Sony because they developed games over there too. On the flipside, the Zenimax acquisition makes sense for Xbox for the obvious reasons of building a very high profile for AAA first party games. Add to the fact that many of Bethesda's games a played for months and years at a time. That works hand in hand with GamePass's numbers and the amount of hours or so on it.

@CrazyJF Well Sony helped develop Street Fighter 5, so we'll probably never know that. Now FF7 Remake, FF16, and the others would have had to be a pretty penny.

@LtSarge Good points about the advantages of Gamepass. However, realistically I don't ever see a scenario where Atlus would favor Persona games for Xbox over PlayStation. Money does talk though, but decades of business relationships may triumph.

@BAMozzy The cover shooting couldn't be inspired by games like Time Crisis? Gears obviously isn't the first game to do this. That is the only comparison I see between Gears and Uncharted. Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones have heavier influences.

Doesn't have a choice but to honor deals that happen before acquisitions. Otherwise they (Xbox) would have to buy out said deal/contract. Don't want to breach the agreement here. Too bad Xbox gamers have to wait til 2023 to get it.

Not that I don't want a new platformer or anything. However, this is a fighter and the ONLY fighter Xbox has. Why not make sure this one is done?! Killer Instinct was by far one of the best fighters last gen. Easily. Should definitely get a reputable dev to put some tlc in this lovable and respected franchise.

@gingataisen Sony hasn't shown up because they're pretty much done with E3. When has Sony ever been "scared" of Microsoft when it comes to games?! I like Xbox like the next guy, but don't do that. Xbox JUST started presenting notable games outside of Gears, Halo, and Forza.
