Stray Bombay has announced today that its brand-new four-player co-op shooter The Anacrusis will be coming to Xbox Game Pass at launch, and according to the Steam platform its intended release window is 'Fall 2021'.
The development team is made up of ex-Valve and Riot Games talent, including the writer of Left 4 Dead, Chet Faliszek, and the game will see you team up with your friends in an "infinitely-replayable fight against alien hordes to unlock perks, weapons, and new ways to play that you can share with your team!"
"In The Anacrusis, the AI Driver controls every aspect of the game. It spawns every enemy, directs each boss, and places every weapon, gadget, and health kit. No matter your skill level, you'll find the perfect level of challenge. More than that, the AI Driver creates the kinds of video game moments that you can’t wait to tell your friends about."

Fall of this year, huh?! This wouldn't happen to be an "answer" to Back 4 Blood, could it?
You had me at Game Pass...
Will still get Back 4 Blood though.
I really like the concepts in play here, but I'm getting a 'poorly executed' vibe.
I hope that unlike Back 4 Blood, The Anacrusis features split-screen co-op to some extent or another.
Does this take place aboard the Enterprise?
