It's a very good game so it stands to reason that it's sold very well.

I'd actually be more surprised if it hadn't done well for some reason

I never really cared for the more open world feel of the 4th game (and most subsequent games that followed) I didn't like having to skate around to find someone to talk to to start a mission.

I've always very much preferred the 2 minute timer model with a set of goals to achieve, so the fact they've decided to strip the 4th game back and make it like THPS 1, 2 & 3 is actually a good thing IMO

I was genuinely interested but unfortunately you lost me at Streaming 😭

Streaming is ok as an option but downloading is much better and provides much more stable gameplay

I would definitely be on board with this if true.

It's one of the few games I ever attended a midnight launch for.... didn't have a pre order..... just went to the store on the night...... arrived just before 10pm and there was already a queue forming, my friend and I were 5th & 6th in the queue but as it got closer to midnight there were literally hundreds of people there and they ended up having to turn people away

Thankfully we went as early as we did and managed to get a copy.

It seems an absolutely crazy move to me.

I honestly don't mean this to sound like I'm bashing Xbox because I'm not but if you're getting your ass whooped by the competition this generation, it just seems borderline insanity to put your prices up even higher.

Surely a price cut would make more sense to increase sales rather than an increase in price

If I remember correctly I believe I had the original on PS4, when it launched it was a buggy broken mess.

Still great fun to play but it was in a terrible state when it first released.

Thankfully the Xbox Series X and PS5 versions seem to run perfectly.

Hopefully they will have learned from previous mistakes with this 2nd game

Looking at this list only highlights just how bad game pass has been recently.

I appreciate everyone will have different gaming tastes, but the only game on there that I have a remote passing interest in is Need for Speed, and even that is only there courtesy of EA Play.

Never thought I'd say it but Sony's PS Extra is absolutely killing it at the moment

I get my Game pass "Free" with my EE mobile phone contract so not sure if / how that would effect me.

If I didn't already have a Series X I'd probably buy this

I'm in a similar situation. Had it on PS3, bought it again on PS4. I did end up selling my PS4 copy but then a few years later I bought it again digitally as it was on sale for next to nothing.

I point blank refuse to buy the remastered version for my Series X or PS5 though.

I guess people like us buying it multiple times are part of the problem but I'm genuinely baffled as to why so many people are still buying it now almost 10 years later

I have absolutely zero interest in playing just Dance on any console past or present but I do think it's great News that developers are starting to phase out last gen releases.

This is something that should have started to happen about 18 months ago

Games with Gold has been dreadful for far too long

I haven't upgraded to PS plus premium yet. I just have PS plus essential. There are only so many hours in the day so I'll probably give it a try when my game pass expires at the end of September as I don't have the time to play both

I guess if we're splitting hairs I'd still put you down as a number 2.

Saying people can't afford one was perhaps a bit harsh so perhaps my number 2 should have said "thought it was a bit too expensive/ couldn't justify the price"

I was in the same situation as yourself. I initially bought a Series S to compliment my PS5 and only ever used it for Game Pass.

The storage situation did quickly become an issue though so I sold it for £10 less than I paid for it and used to proceeds towards a Series X

I think skipped is the wrong word. Very few people would have skipped the Series X

Not everyone obviously but I'll be willing to bet the majority of people who bought a Series S will have done it for 1 of 2 reasons

1. Availability
2. They couldn't afford a series X

Absolutely Never. My TV has everyone of those apps already built in so having to turn the Xbox on first to access it is only taking up more of my precious time.

Come to think of it they're also built into my Sky Q box as well so would never even think of using the Xbox for it

Whatever they offer it can't possibly be as bad as July's offerings..... Can it????? ....,...........

Not a bad back up purely as a 2nd controller for a friend I suppose.

Personally I've gotten so used to Wireless controllers now that it was be hard to go back

I bought a PS5 at launch and about 6 months later I was sucked into getting a Series S to compliment the PS5 & my Switch.

Main reason for being tempted by the Series S was the relatively low price point and of course game pass. I never did actually "buy" a game for it.

Only draw back with it is lack of storage space which made me upgrade to a Series X

Yeah it did quickly become an issue. It was a toss up between either ordering an external hard drive or selling it and using the funds towards a Series X

I opted for the latter

I'm responsible for 2 of those sales. Had a series S originally to compliment my PS5 and Switch and recently upgraded to a Series X

To be honest they're an insult.

I won't complain thought as Game pass is fantastic and the games with gold are simply an added bonus (albeit not very good of late)

Works both ways, there would be plenty of people who buy a Switch for that very reason so it's not like Nintendo wouldn't get anything out of the deal

Just put game pass on Switch , problem solved

I miss the yearly Tiger Woods games they used to bring out, it's been far too long since the Rory game came out

I've actually bought it 3 times, once on PS3 and twice on PS4 (after selling my first copy)

I have no intention of buying it a 4th time

Have to be honest I didn't dabble at all with the original Xbox, I was very much a playstation person back then. Xbox 360 was my first experience.

I'm lucky enough to own all 3 current gen consoles from Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo and I love all 3 equally in different ways

As someone who signed up for £1 for the first month about 10 days ago that is frustrating.

It is what it is though, just unfortunate timing
