Microsoft has been running a promotion where you can get a month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for £1 / $1 for a while now, but at the moment, that has been extended to 3 months as part of a special deal.
This appears to be available in most regions right now, but there's no word on how long the deal will last:
If you're already an Xbox Live Gold or standard Xbox Game Pass member, you will be prompted to convert those subscriptions towards Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which will give you additional 'free' months as well.
For those planning to sign up to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for the long term this way, you can save a lot of money by using what Microsoft calls "a little lifehack," in which you top up your Xbox Live Gold membership ahead of time.

As someone who signed up for £1 for the first month about 10 days ago that is frustrating.

Wasn't this the normal deal already? I'm pretty sure it's been 3 months for $1 for a while in Canada.
@Marios-love-child I'm sorry no one told you to stock up on xbox live subs, before trying the $1 deal. It would've converted your remaining xbox live gold into gamepass ultimate.
People keep setting up new accounts because of it. Players are very often people who constantly complain about money.
@Cyberhu That's just dumb on their part. All you have to do is let your subscription expire, extend your Xbox Live to the maximum 3 years, and then pay the $15 to get Ultimate and it will convert the whole 3 years to Ultimate. I wouldn't pay $15 a month for Game Pass otherwise, even though it is a good value I don't use it enough for that, but at $15 for 3 years (plus Xbox Live Gold), I'm easily fine with that.
