Re: These 1400+ Games Are Included With Antstream Arcade On Xbox

LoquaciousB

I had a thing called a Multiface, I think that's what it was called anyway. It plugged into that same interface as the Kempston and it worked like the Action Replay did years later on the Megadrive. You could find your own cheat codes for infinite lives, energy, ammo, grenades etc etc. It was awesome for those incredibly difficult games I struggled to get through. Ah, those were the days! 🤣

Re: Xbox 'Game Pass Core' Reportedly Replacing Xbox Live Gold This September

LoquaciousB

@NorthwestEagle All Xbox 360 games acquired through GWG are owned and don't require an ongoing sub. I would imagine that to play any games from the Xbox One gen onwards will require a sub of some sort to still play going forward, although it would be nice if Xbox just removed that requirement and allowed us to keep them, seeing as GWG is being abolished.

Re: Microsoft And UK CMA Agree To Pause Legal Battle Over Activision Blizzard Deal

LoquaciousB

@Banjo- The thing about the CMA decision is that they were so far through their process, they didn't stop and re-evaluate all cloud deals MS made in the meantime. They should've done that and amended their decision to take account of it. I think they were overzealous as they wanted to be the first "big" regulator to get their decision out, like they'd get some kudos for it or something. They really thought they were going to be the first domino to make the rest fall. Now they just look like complete idiots, although I'd argue that's how they've looked all along.

Re: PlayStation Boss: I Don't Like Xbox's Starfield Exclusivity, But It's Not 'Anti-Competitive'

LoquaciousB

@UltimateOtaku91 The only reason Sony don't buy entire publishers is because they can't afford it. Anybody with two brain cells can see how aggressive Sony's business practices are and to pretend they wouldn't do this if they had the cash is either plain ignorance or just pure fanboyism. It's plain to see that they've literally been trying to put Xbox out of business with their antics but as soon as Xbox decides to fight back by flexing their wallet, Sony cries foul. They brought this upon themselves.

Re: Jim Ryan: Publishers 'Unanimously' Do Not Like Xbox Game Pass

LoquaciousB

I do note that he says publishers and not developers. That alone says a hell of a lot.

Smaller developers often praise Game Pass as it gives them some security. They never know whether their game will sell enough units and that can be make or break for a small independent developer.

Take Planet of Lana for example. I don't think I'd have given that game a second glance if it wasn't on Game Pass. It is fantastic and I loved every minute of it. I'll most likely buy it for my collection now too.

Re: Microsoft Announces Price Increases For Xbox Series X And Xbox Game Pass

LoquaciousB

@Kaloudz I mean Phil P gave us the heads up about this increase last year. PS Plus Premium is like £13.49 monthly and there is little of interest to me on it. Even if GPU goes up £2 it's still 50p cheaper than that and I get 1st party games day one as well? I'm not gonna quibble over the 2 quid a month. I sense a lot of faux outrage here.

Re: Microsoft Announces Price Increases For Xbox Series X And Xbox Game Pass

LoquaciousB

@Cashews Not having an issue with it and still seeing the value in it, despite the price increase, is neither rooting for it nor being a corporate stooge.

I wish Sony's service gave me the same value for money, then maybe I wouldn't have downgraded from Premium to Essential. My PS5 is a paperweight anyway, until Spider-man 2 comes out, and only then if I can tear myself away from Starfield.

Re: Microsoft Announces Price Increases For Xbox Series X And Xbox Game Pass

LoquaciousB

@Kaloudz In agreement with you 100%, bud. Game Pass, even at the new price, is still the best value in gaming today.

Others have said it's been terrible recently and whilst I'd be hard pushed to criticise people who want more "big budget" games on the service, we will be seeing some soon enough, although I lost my mind and bought the Starfield Constellation Edition because I simply couldn't resist 😂 .

I've just completed Planet of Lana and loved every minute of it. Beautiful game. I'd have happily paid £20 for it, even though its asking price is £16.99, but I paid my £10.99 sub and got to play it along with any other games I want that are currently on the service. Money well spent, in my opinion.

Re: Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora Free DLC Announced For PS5, Paid On Xbox

LoquaciousB

@Banjo- Pretty much. I don't like Sony's business practices at all, despite owning every console they've made bar the PlayStation TV. They're anti-consumer in my opinion too. However, I only have their consoles for their exclusives. I buy all multi-plats on Xbox and have done so for the last 20 years. PlayStation will never be my primary platform.

Re: God Of War: Ragnarök Dev Chimes In On Starfield's 30FPS Xbox Limit

LoquaciousB

DreamcastGuy is a tool. He was sh*tting all over Starfield on his stream, you could see the vitriol oozing out of him by the mannerisms. He's just annoyed he can't play it on his precious PlayStation. He rage quit his stream because he was being called out on his BS and this was all before the 30fps limit was announced. When that was announced he then latched on to that claiming the game was unfinished because of it. He likes to pretend he's platform neutral but he's one of the biggest Sony fanboys on YouTube.

Re: Xbox Issues Lengthy Statement Following $20 Million Fine For Privacy Violation

LoquaciousB

@Stocksy First of all, I won't be answering any of your questions about my family. Such a creepy thing to ask a complete stranger on the Internet.

Secondly, stop being so hyperbolic, as you just come off as completely ridiculous. The other things you mentioned are in no way analogous to this whatsoever.

Yes, laws are there to protect people but parental complacency is a massive factor. I'm not absolving Xbox for their failings here, I'm pointing out that parents have primary responsibility for overseeing the online safety of their children.
