That's how I'm feeling about it.

Phil Spencer really needs to bring the hammer of scrutiny down on the first party studios. Generally disappointing review scores across the board highlights how the focus needs to move from acquisitions to more thorough management of the existing studios. Maybe it's time for Matt Booty to go?

Any that I would want on this list, I already own. It's a pass for me.

I would prefer to play it at 60fps but I don't think they should delay the game until that's implemented. There are loads of folk who will happily play it at 30fps so why should I expect them to wait longer to play it just because I might not want to play at 30fps? I'll give it a go at 30 but if the experience isn't to my liking then I'll just wait for the patch to delve back in. Too many gamers are so bloody selfish.

It wouldn't surprise me if 2K picked up the license and began putting out a yearly footie game. I can't imagine Konami doing so, given the disaster that was their last football game and the fact they don't seem to be particularly interested in developing many games nowadays.

I've swithered about getting an expansion card at times but given that I've got Gigabit broadband and can download games in very little time, it's just never been a priority.

@smoreon Thanks for that advice. I just went back and checked it and yes, the free sweepstakes entry is there now. I never thought to try that before, for some reason. Not that I'll ever win anything anyway! Lol.

I've not had any issues at all. I completed the 3rd Weekly Set yesterday and scooped the 2000 monthly bonus. One issue I do notice that happens to me nearly every single month with the monthly bonus is that when I click to redeem my free sweepstakes entry, there's almost never one that costs zero points, they're usually always 200 points.

Sailed through the demo this morning. It was challenging enough to keep me on my toes a bit but not so much that it prevented me from finishing the demo on my first try without dying. I didn't notice any issues with performance or any glitches. I love the darker appearance and the fact that there's more vegetation. The original was great back in the day but graphically, this early area of the game at least, was very brown and bland. I love the new look.

I've still got my full Rock Band 4 drumkit with cymbals, guitar and mic plus I have several Rock Band and Guitar Hero Xbox 360 guitars that I can use with the adapter that Harmonix released so they can be used on Xbox One. I've still got a GH WT drumkit in the attic too. I'm so glad I've kept everything because yeah, used prices are getting insane for these peripherals in full working order.

@Ashadelo I think 11th November 2022 was the original release date before they delayed it to first half of 2023. Maybe that's why you had November in mind?

Given Todd Howard's affinity towards day and month being the same number, and assuming it'll release on a Tuesday or a Friday, there are possibilities in March, April, May and June, if he wants to do that. I'll hedge my bets and say Tuesday 6th June for target release date. There's only two Fridays that fit the bill and they're 3rd March, which I think is too early but one can hope, and 5th May. There's also Tuesday 4th April.

Sony haven't responded most likely because they are busy trying to figure out how they can possibly spin the announcement of the deal with Nintendo into a negative for Microsoft.

@S1ayeR74 Yes, it has been obvious from the start but clearly a few of the regulators have been taken in by their BS. Sony has at times tried to play this like they're some kind of consumer champion and that's laughable.

This was indeed a good strategic move by Xbox designed to allay the concerns of the regulators and show them that Sony's whining about COD being taken away is unfounded.

Sony will not be happy with this. Call of Duty on Game Pass, Call of Duty on Switch and PlayStation will lose all the exclusive content they have after their current deal ends. They will see this as yet more potential money taken from their pockets.

They are not against this acquisition for the sake of consumers but for the sake of their own profits. Hopefully Jim 'Crying' Ryan has another outburst and the regulators blinkers finally fall off so they can see how bloody transparent Sony actually is.

Been playing it this morning for a few hours on my Series X. I love it and it being like Dead Space is a positive for me personally. I haven't noticed any technical/performance issues so far.

If this deal falls through, I could see Microsoft taking the gloves off and buying up every major Third Party exclusive they can get their hands on, such as COD when Sony's current deal with Activision ends. They could, quite frankly out of spite, pay an exorbitant amount of money to Activision to keep COD games exclusive to Xbox for 1 year, which would royally f**k Sony far more than this acquisition is ever likely to.

This just exposes the fact that Sony do not really think Microsoft will stop putting COD on PlayStation. Their real issue is they do not want COD games releasing on Game Pass. That is what they see as the real threat to their profits and their mask just slipped. It's laughable for them to pretend they're some kind of consumer champion.

I don't think Sony will be happy unless Microsoft agree to not put COD on Game Pass. This whole issue from Jim Ryan about Xbox maybe taking COD away from PlayStation is a red herring, in my opinion, as he knows Xbox are not going to do that. He simply doesn't want it on Game Pass where subscribers don't have to pay 70 quid for it and could also get perks for the low subscription fee. That's the real threat to COD sales on PlayStation in his eyes.

The point of my post is that you are misusing the word, either it's deliberately misusing it or it's a misunderstanding of the real meaning of it. Just because you want 'woke' to mean what you perceive it to mean, doesn't mean it does.

I personally don't give two hoots whether a black person, Latino person, Asian person, white person or a green Martian plays any role because colour is only skin deep. It's only the people who actually take issue with it that are the ones that are promoting this faux-segregation of society. What should the colour of someone's skin matter as long as their performance is good? It is all art after all, which by its very nature is an artist's interpretation of the subject matter. You have the right, of course, to dislike their art for whatever reason you choose but, you don't have the right to assume the artist producing the work has chosen their direction simply to pander to minorities because only the actual artist knows their reasons. It's either ignorance or arrogance to assume you know their reasons.

It's misappropriation, and/or misunderstanding, of the word as the dictionary definition of 'woke' actually means to 'be alert to injustice in society, especially racism'. The real reason Jim Ryan is trying to squash this acquisition is not because he thinks Microsoft will stop putting COD on Playstation. The real reason is that he simply doesn't want COD on Game Pass as he knows that many many people will flock to Xbox to play it for a small monthly fee instead of forking out £60-£70 to play it on Playstation. Playstation has been exposed already for paying developers to keep their games off Game Pass so it's obvious that this is in fact the real reason. Jim 'Lying' Ryan up to his usual *****.

Clearly by "big community" they are referring to games with large online player communities. Just remember, Sony are the biggest offender for paying money just to keep third party games off Xbox.
