Played it earlier and tbh it sums up most day one GP releases........instantly forgettable. Hopefully the FPS coming soon is half decent.

@darylb24 If your not capable of reading between the lines regarding the current reporting and leaks then that's on you. You can still turn a profit whilst losing subs and zero growth. Really come on if everything was hunky dory in GP land would we be getting all these articles with direct quotes?

@VOODOO85 We aren't privy to exact numbers however have a look at the articles over the past week or so. Changes to GP tier rumours, GP acknowledged as being to expensive. If you have a healthy growing product none of that would be mentioned or imo it wouldn't as it gives the impression the service isn't meeting expectations as in losing subs/not growing.

As consumers we have absolutely no idea if a post mortem is needed as we aren't privy to sub numbers or should I say lost subs. There's obviously a problem with numbers or we wouldn't be getting near daily Asha propaganda. And regarding being impressed with games so far this year well that's your opinion and probably differs to the lost subs that's obviously happening. Here's hoping some of the future GPU day one releases live up to the hype.

The real bold move would be a statement along the lines of ' We consider the future as Helix/PC therefore all future releases will be fully exclusive to those platforms '. Then put such an eye watering release day games lineup on the Helix that blows PS out the water giving gamers literally no option but to buy in. Never happen like but it would be a wild ride.

I actually played this game earlier today and came away knowing my decision not to resub to GPU this year is the correct choice.

We need to invest more in the basics of the Xbox platform. Right now, we run many different systems that aren’t connected, which slows us down and hurts quality. Instead of relying on good systems, we often rely on extra effort from people. We also don’t have strong tools to test ideas or learn what works, so improving is harder.
On the product side, the user experience is inconsistent because different parts were built at different times. It’s not easy for players to discover things, find what matters to them, or connect with others, so they have to put in extra effort to figure out what to do next.

Personally this would have to be dirt cheap to make any sense. You mentioned four games above that I would say split into three different genres of which not everyone enjoys all of them.

Let's just throw a number out for online play and first party games £10 a month £120 a year.....Forza 6 pre order is currently £39.99 the others will be similar so I can buy a few and still get online for the yearly cost.

This is when the bundles are more likely to happen to try to flog the service and guess what no one will want the extras once again. And on another note what a year so far what with all the day one GPU sub sellers we have been treated to absolutely outstanding service.

Wouldn't even be an issue if the product GPU was a must have...... unfortunately it's not. How are those days one releases going so far this year? Any that are sub sellers.....oh well we are getting seventy five plus this year so who knows. I would hazard a guess they are losing a lot of subs and looking for a cheaper alternative ......maybe just maybe decent day one games would help who knows it's just my crazy idea.

I currently have GPU it runs out in a few months. It last cost me £96 for 3 years using the stacking method. Won't be renewing however once or twice a year I may grab a code for a month. At it's official monthly cost imo it's nowhere near worth it way to many shelf fillers.

Last time I spent on GPU it cost just under £97 for 3 years stacking and runs out later this year. I won't be renewing via stacking or recurring monthly payments after that. However I may a couple of times a year grab a month to hammer a few of the so called big releases.
Also not spending anymore money on XBOX digital as I will probably be running to the dark side next gen. XBOX going forward doesn't offer me what I want am just a simple console owner who wants to play with other console owners. XBOX next gen to me is looking like entry level pc that's not upgradable and wouldn't suprise me if there was zero cross play options......hard pass from me.
GPU is good if you enjoy endless shelf fillers and the occasional decent game that's usually fixed just in time for the PS release.

Just out of interest did any of those reviews state they were done on an actual XBOX console?
The console community asked via Reddit and the official channels for a console only in game cross play option.......and got ignored.
Now you want me to pay for a game that was initially free with no in game cross play options so you can pander to your PC user base.......yea love to honestly. On console this sinks as fast as Delta Force

Looking forward to this as the Finals was a cracking game when I played it. Again hopefully they reconsider the lack of in game console only option for the full release. If only they realised these type of games live or die on these options.....XDefiant.....Delta Force etc.

Excellent that you mentioned the cross play issue. Now if we could only push for a console only cross play option it would definitely increase the games longevity on consoles. Forgot to mention the sniper shotguns 😋.

Probably for the same reason there is no console only cross play. I do seem to remember them saying don't worry we will match you when possible with other console players. So it's release day servers are full and yes you guessed it they were talking utter garbage. Don't forget even though PC is same as Xbox for xp we all know the very bottom of the pile is us lot the faithful Xbox console owners.Will never change.........

Gutted that they went directly against their customers and left out in game console only cross play settings am hoping XBOX has a decent user base for at least a few months.

Just to add this report is from GR and shows how simple things can bring your own user base together instead of forced cross play.

"Just one day before the launch of Battlefield 6, EA has revealed that those on PlayStation 5 can receive up to an additional 15% XP increase per match if they are in a party with two or more PlayStation Plus subscribers. There doesn't appear to be a similar benefit for Battlefield 6 players on Xbox Series X/S or PC, meaning PlayStation 5 users will have a huge advantage when it comes to levelling up in Multiplayer.".

I have Ultimate till next year then I may drop a tier.

Not that bad waiting up to a year for new releases as that's probably when they go to PS and will be patched and in fully working order

Regarding cloud gaming never really used it and this better service depending on chosen tier just puts me off.

Also not including DLC and the early access nonsense in the highest tier absolutely stinks but hey ho we getting loads of day one releases.........don't you just love the bargain bin indie games.

Just to clarify COD will stay on Ultimate only untill it's over a year old when it's replaced by the latest version? Or does none of the older COD go on to the lower tier.

Right so out of those hundreds of indie games how many are console/game pass sellers? How many have reached the top ten and stayed there? More and more fillers that most people use to collect their points and would never consider purchasing.

The beta on XBOX had an in game cross play option if my memory is correct

On release the PS version had this still included but it was fully removed from the XBOX version.

They have now readded the option on XBOX but it doesn't work instead it directs you to use the console settings to switch cross play off.

It just doesn't add up sorry but personally I think it's XBOX doing what they did with XDefiant and requesting it be removed.

Absolute madness that you release one of the best PvP extractor games on console months after the PC version and don't offer console only cross play......actually it's not madness it stinks if am being honest.

Game is dead in the water on XBOX. Honestly don't know how you haven't run a story regarding the cross play? In game cross play options available in Beta and now removed but still in PS version. IMO this will be a request from XBOX same as XDefiant........and people wonder why console sales are in the gutter for dirty XBOX.

I realise this may be slightly off topic but can you please address the cross play option. It has been removed from the in game XBOX version and yet is still in the PS version. This happens time and time again is it the devs or has XBOX requested this?
