ARC Raiders, an upcoming extraction shooter from The Finals dev Embark Studios, has been in the works for quite a while now - but launch is almost here! The full game releases at the end of this month, and ahead of time, the team is opening up a portion of the experience for a "full-scale server slam" this weekend - and it's completely free on Xbox.
Yep, the ARC Raiders Server Slam goes down October 17-19, and the aim is exactly how it sounds; to stress test the servers ahead of launch. This pre-release version will include the Dam Battlegrounds map, alongside a bunch of weapons, gear, missions and more to test out ahead of the final game's arrival on October 30.
"This is your first step into the Rust Belt.
A chance to help out, test the game with your friends for free, and be part of the history of ARC Raiders. If you played TT2, this is a chance to dive back in once more and be a guide for new Raiders. If you’re brand new, now is your time to get to experience the game before the gates open on October 30. Help us test the systems. Feel the tension for yourself.
This is your chance to experience ARC Raiders."
What's more, if you take part in the ARC Raiders stress test this weekend, you can earn an exclusive reward for the full game! All you have to do is play during the Server Slam and confirm your Embark ID to earn an exclusive backpack: The Server Slammer. You'll be able to claim and use this reward shortly after the full launch on October 30th.
ARC Raiders was formally announced all the way back in late 2021, with a then-projected Xbox release window of 2022. However, the developer went on to make and release The Finals first, hence its multi-year delay for ARC Raiders. This highly-anticipated extraction shooter is nearly here though, and we're keen to see how the Server Slam goes down with players on Xbox!
