Delta Force Comparison Shows Difference Between Xbox Series X And Series S

We're back with yet another one of these very popular comparisons! Delta Force officially brought its free-to-play shooter to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S earlier today, and we can now see how it performs on both systems.

As usual, this comes courtesy of the excellent Fuzion Xbox Testing on YouTube, which has already provided separate videos for both the Series X and Series S versions of the game, complete with some handy frame rate tests.

On Xbox Series X, Delta Force is running at a resolution of 1440p (with potential Dynamic Resolution Scaling in play), and the visuals look pretty good at first glance. The frame rate seems locked to 60FPS for the most part, but the dedicated frame rate mode appears to average around 70-90FPS - so you'll want a VRR-supported display for this. That said, we've seen some players suggesting it still feels choppy even with VRR switched on.

On Xbox Series S, Delta Force has a resolution of 1080p (again, with potential DRS in play), and it definitely looks a bit blurrier with worse-quality textures, while the frame rate generally sticks to 60FPS but can drop to 40FPS in its worst moments, with the campaign being affected in particular. The Series S version actually has that aforementioned frame rate mode as well, and it seems to average around 60-80FPS for the most part.

So, yeah - not perfect by any means, but well worth a try at least. As a reminder, both the single and multiplayer portions of Delta Force are free-to-play, and you can download the game right now from the Xbox Store if you're interested.

We'll leave you with both of Fuzion Xbox Testing's videos below, but keep in mind the following:

"As you can see in the framerate mode, the FPS test isn't exactly as accurate as the in-game FPS counter, due to all the immense tearing at times. This was FPS tested with VRR on even, and I couldn't get better results, so please do focus on the in-game FPS counter, if possible. I still wanted to showcase the frametime in MS, for example, and potentially how much tearing there is (even if a lot of the tearing isn't even picked up, yet visible)."

Have you had a chance to play Delta Force on Xbox yet? What do you think of it so far?
