PSA: Expect To See Lots Of ROG Xbox Ally Impressions Next Month

It's safe to say that here at Pure Xbox, we've been pretty high on the ROG Xbox Ally since it was unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase last month. Plenty of questions about the nature of the device still remain though - some of which are likely to be answered in less than a month at Gamescom 2025.

Yep, as part of today's Gamescom announcement from Team Green, we've learnt that the ROG Xbox Ally will have a big presence at next month's European gaming convention. Not only will the system feature in one of Xbox's live broadcasts, it will also be playable on the show floor - which means plenty of real-world impressions on the handheld device will soon hit the web.

This is very exciting news because, well, we always like to hear what real fans think of the experience. It's all well and good getting the lowdown straight from Microsoft, but until we hear what the general public thinks of the device, we won't really have a real grasp on what it's all about. We have high hopes for this pair of Asus-partnered Xbox handhelds, and hopefully that's all properly justified next month.

So, yep, Microsoft is going to show off more of this thing during Xbox's first Gamescom livestream on August 20th, and then you can expect to see public impressions of the device start to trickle out shortly after (including how the highly-anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong plays on it).
