@BaldBelper78 agreed, also living in the UK it doesn't matter what xbox make, every games store in the UK is 70% floorspace for PS, 20% for Switch and at most 2% xbox (the rest being stupid toys!!)... if nobody knows the console exists, xbox doesn't have a marketing presence, and stores don't promote it either, there will be no difference next generation.

for all the hype of xbox games finally about to arrive too, so far this year (we are into Q2 now) and still nothing yet. PS had FF, helldivers and more.

@StonyKL I'm 5 hours into Elden Ring, and PGA is proving to be a nice palate cleanser, just to dip in for 30 mins to play a round

I only picked up EA PGA tour a few weeks ago on sale. As an old fart, I'm set in my 3-click ways, it's utterly unplayable in default but once you set it to performance mode, the input lag is just about playable. I hate the career mode to be honest, but just playing on the 39 (!) courses with the licensed pro's is fun enough for me to get monies worth! You need to fiddle with the camera angles, settings a bit to set it up how you want it, but there's a good, fun golf game in there...

Just a shame there is such a meagre selection of pro golfers, and basically no Europeans (aside from Poulter!) - makes the Ryder Cup mode a bit of a joke

can't wait to play this in a year or two when it's properly fixed and 20 quid

starting Elden Ring and Cyberpunk next, I'm quite a ways behind!!

I will be surprised if it releases before the next xbox console comes out! anything before 2028 seems a fantasy

Cyberpunk and Starfield have taught me that there's little point playing these big releases until they've been out a year at least!! Then they're fixed, and cheaper!!

@PJOReilly yeah no worries, was just a bit surprised at the 10/10 after watching IGN's video, but you're certainly not alone in giving it max points!! I'm very keen to play it!

Bit surprised at 10/10 that's more than you gave Witcher 3 isn't it!! IGN say 8/10, 'clunky' 'camera going haywire' and other comments that don't scream masterpiece to me, but regardless, looking forward to playing it!

For me it just feels a bit sluggish and lifeless to drive, pales in comparison to Virtual Racing

wish I'd not bothered with the 12 month sub myself... far too few great games on there, and menus a total nightmare..

moving forward, let's see - no point worrying about it or second guessing what happens. maybe it's because I've lived through betamax, BSB squarial, Atari, Sega (and always backed the losing horse), I've learnt to roll with the punches haha.

I just don't get why people get so enraged or upset (not you) - but that's the internet I guess.

as a fairly intelligent chap who has been working in cut throat business for 25 years, despite past blunders, I just think Microsoft aren't as dumb as so many people seem to think they are! but we will see... but regarding ABK, if they always planned to shift all their first party games to PS, etc, then why not say this during the court case, it would have been over much quicker, haha!

a side note... I have a huge library (I hate 'backlog') of games to play... I'm sure PS owners do too. If MS are testing the waters, do we really think (if they are the games)... SoT, Pentiment, HiFi Rush are even going to sell gangbusters on the PS against the competition? It's a big assumption...

@Ken_Kaniff without wanting to pick a fight, is it that different from when they put Ori, Banjo, Psychonauts 2, Minecraft etc on other consoles?

I just credit MS / Xbox with enough intelligence to know that porting Gears, Forza, Halo, etc, would be suicide??

@Sol4ris @kaloudz I echo that. I've only started posting here recently but these last few days have really helped highlight who are the sensible, grown ups on here, and allowed me to spam the ignore button on a lot of the others.

I have increasingly spent far too much time doom scrolling, checking reddit and this site and ign, etc. life's too short! nothing positive comes from spending too long in the comments sections of websites

whatever happens with xbox, PS, Nintendo, happens. no point stressing about things you can't control. there will always be great games out there to play. you can't take your games library with you anyway

@el_pieablo understood. I meant more that there were huge displays for the console, the headsets, the controllers, so people are going to buy a PS console over an XBOX, wasn't so much meaning games

@Banjo- you may be right, but I somehow doubt it...

on a tangent, I went into a House of Fraser the other day, and on the top floor they have a GAME in-house, and it had a HUGE PS area, no joke it was enormous. took up most of their floor space... and a tiny little xbox section hidden at the back. No wonder they don't sell many consoles, the game is rigged!

even less on topic, they had one of those arcade 1up machines on display, it looked pretty tidy!

lots for us to look forward to this year, and beyond... sadly, all I will continue to see on the bus stops and billboards of the UK through 2024 (and on my TV and laptop screens) are PS5 adverts.

the general public will never know about ANY of these games if you don't ADVERTISE them. maddening...

@RBRTMNZ all good, just genuinely I never knew what 'holidays' meant, could have been thanksgiving? who knows, ha!
