Love this news. I spent so much time with Destiny over the years but don't want to go near it anymore.
Fingers crossed for what they should have done with Destiny 2 - a complete story reset. After the problems they had with the D1 story, it was a castle built on sand. It's now so convoluted and pieced together that I was playing in spite of the story, not because of it.
Just going in there now and trying to navigate quests and progress is a nightmare.
The biggest thing for me will be a power reset, which I'm sure will be on the cards. I play these games to start at 0 and watch numbers go up. I don't want to start at 1865 or whatever BS Destiny 2 starts you at now.
@norwichred I'm in Australia, so I can't promise it works anywhere else, but it totally works here. Within 14 days, you can get a refund, basically automatically. It asks for a reason but really you can put anything. Google 'Microsoft request refund', then you get a link to Xbox Support called 'Request a refund for Digital Games'. On that page, you sign in and then it shows a list of your recent purchases and which ones you can still get refunded. Anything over 14 days is conditional. The URL is https://support.xbox.com/en-AU/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/refund-orders. If you're UK, trying swapping AU for UK. Best of luck.
It's perfectly valid to report on how the game was made and even to express an opinion on it but the reduction in score from Eurogamer was grossly disproportionate, given what a small part of the game the AI voicing represents. Giving such a score was a political move, which is inappropriate for a review.
The appeal of the next Xbox is in being able to play Xbox games AND Steam games from the comfort of my couch. Unless the new Steam machine can properly compete (and it's not likely to) then pass
It sounds like they've done a good job but I won't do PvP. They very easily could add a PvE-only mode, and I'll be more than happy to try when they do.
It's a great idea but 30 days really is a useless figure. Sales cycle out over months and years. You need the overall snapshot - just like Deku and XBDeals give you. Ultimately, though, if it wasn't the lowest price ever, I wouldn't be interested.
I'm loving the gameplay but I'm kind of surprised at how underwhelming it is visually. Shows that a great game is a great game regardless but I'm hoping they can make the visuals shine a little more.
I was happy to use both digital and physical media (games and movies) - until my XSX's disc drive packed it in a couple of months ago. Feels cheaper to replace digitally when things are on sale than to have it repaired. Super expensive to fix.

Re: Xbox 'Magnus' Leak Suggests Next Console Will Be Powerful, Expensive & Maybe A Hybrid Device
Steam integration would be (sorry) a game-changer for me. That would make up for a lot of the uncertainty around MS's strategy in general.

@GeeEssEff You actually have a Buddybot to help you out so you can effectively play solo!

Ultimate was already too pricey for me. This is a no-brainer - in the bad way.

Australia - not available in your country.
Re: Digital Foundry's Helldivers 2 Review Is Here, And There's A Weird Lighting Issue On Xbox
Is there any chance PS told Arrowhead to make sure that the PS5 version looked superior?
Re: Poll: If You Bought It, What Do You Think Of Helldivers 2 So Far?
@Millionski I only learned about the refund option on the Xbox store fairly recently. Wish I'd known a lot earlier!
