The Top Paid Xbox charts are full of some absolute behemoths right now - EA Sports FC 26, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Dying Light: The Beast and many others - but one game that's keeping pace with all of them is Jump Space!

We talked about this title prior to release, mentioning how it was both an Xbox console exclusive and launching at the low price of just £16.75 / $19.99, and the good news is that it's living up to the hype with the majority of players.

Over on Steam, Jump Space has a "Very Positive" rating based on over 3,500 reviews, while the Xbox Store rating is sitting at 4/5 based on over 500 reviews (in the US). 56% of those Xbox Store reviews are five stars as well.

But why is it doing so well on Xbox? It could just be that it's a fun game and the price is really reasonable, but we also think it's because Xbox counts free trial downloads as part of its criteria for moving up the charts.

Yes - Jump Space has a free trial! It's currently in "Game Preview" form (which means early access), and therefore they're giving away the ability to check it out at no charge, hoping you'll buy the game once spending some time with it.

You'll find the free trial button on the official Xbox Store page for Jump Space:

So, yeah - go and check this out! It looks really cool, has been getting some great feedback so far, and you don't even need to pay anything to see if you'll enjoy it or not. We'll leave you with more details about the game itself down below.

Jump Space (formerly Jump Ship) is a mission based co-op PvE for 1-4 players, where you are the crew of a spaceship. Transition seamlessly from crewing the ship to on-foot exploration and space walks. Explore, upgrade, and survive intense encounters in deep space together. We love co-op games, and we love space. Jump Space is our attempt to make both work together.
