I really only want 3 franchise things out of this. WoW on console, Pitfall! 1 and 2 (maybe even a new game), and most importantly, H.E.R.O.! Actually, just give me a collection of all the Activision Atari games.
I'll definitely pick it up. Baseball is one sport that's been severely lacking on Xbox and I always wished it had a really good baseball game. (The switch as well.)
For me, the general speed of everything. Even downloads on it are extremely fast compared to my one x. I just downloaded Dark Souls (never played it, and it was in sale), and it was done in five minutes! I also appreciate how fast the ui is, and the decreased load times in games. I've been playing through the Assassins Creed games (on the 2nd right now), so I haven't been able to see anything built for the system yet. Though I have the new Call of Duty coming today. I'm also impressed by just how quiet it is! My ps4 could sound like a jet engine at times, and my one x always had an extremely loud disc drive. With the Series X, I can't hear it at all unless I have my head right above it.
Love it so far! It's smaller than I expected it to be, and standing it horizontally gives me much more space on the stand that it and my Switch are on. Setup was extremely easy, and I'm pleased all my saves were loaded immediately. Though right now I'm playing through the Assassins Creed games (almost done with the first), so I can't really be wowed yet by graphics. The load time ARE significantly faster though. Later on I'll try Forza Horizon 4 and see how that looks.
Edit: And I'm also very pleased by how quiet it is!
Managed to get mine in the US after fighting the Microsoft store for twenty minutes. And then another ten minutes waiting for the checkout to load. I would have preferred Amazon, but they didn't even have a page up for it until about forty five minutes after 11, and I WAS at work. I can't complain too much though, I wasn't expecting to get a pre-order at all today.
Doom 3 and Kotor are the main reasons I bought my original x-box. My pc at the time couldn't quite handle it, it worked but the frame rate was about 10. I still really enjoy the game, (though I do agree with the user that said it feels a little too long) but I find myself wishing I could sprint indefinitely. Doom is one of my favorite series, I'm glad all the games are readily available on just about everything these days.
I like the design overall, and it makes sense from a cooling perspective. Since it'll go where my One X is now, but vertically, it'll actually save me some space.

I genuinely can't wait for this! I watched the original movie so many times as a kid.
Re: Phil Spencer Reveals How Many Hours Of Xbox He Plays Per-Week
I used to play about 2 hours a day, now I barely get 2 hours a week.

Re: Xbox Apparently Has Some 'Really Interesting' Partnerships In The Works
@antonvaltaz In the Dreamcast era, Sega was using a spiral, or swirl logo.

Re: PSA: You Probably Shouldn't Lick The Xbox Series X Or Its Controllers
@Bruvas We got bits of the technology, but unfortunately you're right. Turns out, Gene was a little too optimistic about humanity.

@Cisco It's just a shortening of typing mistake.
Re: Inside Xbox: How To Watch The May 2020 Xbox Series X Gameplay Reveal
I'll sadly be at work during the stream, but I'll definitely check out the recap afterwards! Then the full stream whenever I have the time.
