I have a simple system. Games that I really really want to play, I buy. Everything else I wait for a sale or gamepass drop, whichever comes first.

@Trmn8r yeah I’m almost 100% convinced at this point that Sony has agreed in principle to acquire Square Enix once all of the Activision Blizzard stuff dies down.

@Tharsman I can see a lot of those devs maybe creating/joining a union, since Microsoft has stated that it will stay neutral to such, and asking for 2 year or more COD cycles, longer development time, more freedom to work on varied ip’s, etc. Then again Xbox may just stay hands off like with their first party studios and let the Activision-Blizzard teams do whatever they want outside of COD cycles.

Wait. So you’re telling me that developing a game that alienates most of your player base and then arguing with them and telling them to ***** off and not buy the game didn’t work?

@Rmg0731 I don’t pay attention to any “professional” reviews anymore as they all seem to be biased towards one platform/genre or get paid off to give good review scores.

Yikes. Might have to get this on pc then. I would have liked minimum 1440 60 fps for the series x.

Man I hope this game stands up to the Mass Effect name. I actually enjoyed Andromeda, but the trouble they had with the frostbite engine and all the cut content and rushed development really hurt that game in the long run.

@Snake_V5 too bad only about 20% of PlayStation owners buy those exclusives.

Looks like a Steam winter sale game to me.

Except for Astral Chain, we didn’t miss much, and Bayonetta was always a Nintendo exclusive.

For comedy’s sake I want the outcome of this to be that Sony somehow blocks the entire deal, and MS then swoops in and secures a 10 year console exclusivity deal for Call of Duty. That would make all of this nonsense worthwhile.

What do you know, it’s almost like all of those criticisms and worry from their community, that they promptly told to ***** off, we’re right.

@Would_you_kindly At least the indie games are fully developed fleshed out titles not requiring day one patches or live service connections while also trying to sell me outfit and xp booster packs.

They really missed the mark here. This could have been an amazing single player game, with optional pvp modes. Instead it will just be another dull live service grind fest. Expect it to be $19.99 within 3 months.

I always regretted not being able to go to an E3 when it was a huge event. If it somehow becomes even a fraction of its former self, I plan on attending in 2023.

It wasn’t that bad. People just like to complain. I’d say it was hit/miss of 70%/30%.

Here is our best case scenario: It doesn’t sell super well and Capcom takes the bailout money offer and it gets ported to Gamepass.

@Scummbuddy their customer support can be pretty bad. I had to return a damaged collectors edition from them and they demanded that I return it first and have it inspected before they would even consider to send me a new one. Usually takes forever for them to respond too.

The fact that this even needs to be explained is pretty ridiculous. Maybe I’m just wrong for assuming that most people know and understand what planning and story boarding is and how it factors into every form of media.

@ralphdibny I didn’t get any tshirts but the Xbox jerseys I got from them last year fit pretty snug.

I’d prefer Persona 5R. FF7 Remake wasn’t that great in my opinion.

There is some merit to what he says, but if a game releases outside of game pass that I really want then I buy it. I only wait for the games I have semi internet in to hit game pass. A lot of game pass games get announced as day one releases though so the wait and see approach is pretty small in my opinion.

Hopefully this shakes him awake to the need for stable strong leadership roles in every Xbox owned studio.

@frabbit you should absolutely try to give it a go. It’s right up there with Saints Row and GTA.

Yeah the whole battle pass and challenge thing sucks. You should level up based on merit and receive unlocks at each level. Then sell xp boosters/level skips, direct skins, emotes, etc for the mtx.

@Bleachedsmiles I was going to say same. That account is a well known Xbox hater and stirs the console war/fanboy pot daily to create fake drama.

Got it on PS5 this go around. Haven’t played it in several years. This time I think I’ll go for the full 100%. Never got it on the Xbox One or 360 versions.

This is kind of sad for me. As a kid, E3 was the biggest gaming show everyone looked forward to all year. Now it’s come to this. Hopefully something else spawns out of this to have that big week long convention style gaming show. I know the PAX shows and Gamescom exist, but man E3 was so huge at one point.

Might be too late. This is sure to bring in some curious players, but in gaming first impressions matter A LOT. After all the Reddit posts and YouTube videos and bad PR condemning the game, I think this might be dead on arrival.

Saw that it has a P5 outfit pack too. PLEAAAAAAAASE let that be a hint that P5R is coming to Xbox soon. Its a big reach, but I can still dream.

@awp69 If it isn’t a AAA cinematic third person action adventure with a metacritic of 90+, it’s trash. Didn’t you know that?

I would bet anything that Sony immediately started negotiations to buy Square-Enix after this news dropped.

Aliens Fireteam Elite is a very easy one too. Once in the game, open the menu, head to loadout, inspect a weapon, then apply a weapon skin and a decal. It’s on the cloud too so it takes less than 5 mins.
