Re: Talking Point: 10 Years Later, Would You Consider The Xbox One Era Officially Over?

kuu_nousee

@GuyinPA75 I might not fully agree but I agree with the lack of quality games that were created for Kinect technology, even 360 Kinect.
If more games would have used a controller and the camera to create newer experiences we all might be using a camera with our consoles today.

But we just didn't get those experiences, hell I'll say we got less for Kinect than we have for VR as a whole in a few years. RE4 (twice), REVillage, Astro Rescue Mission, HL Alyx just those out shine anything we got for Kinect.

It's fine they still make games for Xbox One absolutely nothing wrong with that. I like Smart Delivery but not for discs because they have done such a poor job of implementing it for Series X games.
One Xbox boxed game that shares Xbox One and Series X is a stain on the physical release.
I'd love to buy more Series X games physically but simply majority of the Series X games are NOT on the disc, which is vastly different from Switch cart or a PS5 disc.

It really makes me not care about to want to get games day one anymore on the Xbox platform.
I care now more of a game is Series X and PC in one digital purchase now.

Re: 'Like a Dragon' Dev Explains Why Infinite Wealth Isn't Launching On Game Pass

kuu_nousee

@Rmg0731 this is exactly why sometimes games are missing on Xbox, the lower projection of actual sales versus other platforms.

For someone like me that wants the best console version and sometimes like a game enough to buy a disc Xbox is slowly pushing me away from their consoles and playing GamePass more on PC only. Then the Series X is for old games and rarely a new physical offline game.

Re: In The End, Are You Happy With Xbox's First-Party Lineup For 2023?

kuu_nousee

Personally, no not even close.
The only two games worth my time this year were FM and Starfield.
Also both are not worth much more than maybe 10 hours each at the state of both games.

Overall objectively it's a C due to the number of games that came first party overall, better than the last two years.

GamePass is the best and worst part of the Xbox still. Maybe 2024 "will finally be the year". But we have all be waiting since 2015 in reality.

Re: 'Like a Dragon' Dev Explains Why Infinite Wealth Isn't Launching On Game Pass

@ValkyriaProfile Exactly treat it as the digital Blockbuster or Gamefly of renting games and that's a great mentality.

Though I think because so many high quality games have come to GamePass it has created GamePass hold out culture and possibly lowered digital game sales in a minor to medium way in the long run. With all the other platforms people don't treat their ecosystem this way. In some ways it's a turn off and sours the Xbox brand if I'm gonna be really honest. When GamePass started it didn't seem like this more of the opposite try then buy what you liked to keep.

Re: 'Like a Dragon' Dev Explains Why Infinite Wealth Isn't Launching On Game Pass

kuu_nousee

@ValkyriaProfile Agreed it's probably another reason a few big games are still missing Xbox release at all. The fear of publishers games just won't sell due to GamePass hold out.

Hell most of my friends on Xbox, they just don't barely buy any games anymore due to "well it might come to GamePass". Two of them skipped Diablo 4 thinking it would come for free in 2023 for Blizzard buy out, and they both love Diablo it's one of their favorite franchises. Though that has also caused them to skip multiplayer games too so I just buy them on PS5 or PC instead.

I like GamePass but it definitely changed buying mentality for many people. They don't buy they just sub and pray games come to it. So Xbox misses out on 3-5 purchases for a game due to GamePass existing just myself and our friend group.

Re: The Callisto Protocol's New Story DLC Is Getting Good Feedback Ahead Of Xbox Release

kuu_nousee

@UndyingInsurgent95 I definitely respect an opinion of someone not liking the combat of games. Though mostly talking to other people about this game it's mainly because they don't understand it, nor are willing to try due to initial frustrations of lack of a good tutorial.
Once you get an understanding of what does work and what definitely doesn't it feels like Fight Night + Dead Space. It's combat that requires patience like a fighting game.

Again not for everyone but has been truly different from many many rehashing of samey played out gameplay games this generation.

Games like this are a reason this generation has been super interesting. Sifu, Callisto Protocol, Humanity, Flight Simulator are all so damn different and not just shoot run shoot run shoot run like most games today.

Re: Poll: Will You Stay Subscribed To Xbox Game Pass After The Price Hike?

kuu_nousee

I'm conflicted to what version I will keep for this year.

I have SF6 on Xbox which throws a wrench into it.
Starfield 30fps on console means I'm playing on GamePass for PC only.

Kind of bums me that SF6 wasn't crossboy for PC Xbox app now. I'd rather just pay $9 a month for PC GamePass only but I need gold at least on Xbox to play SF6 online. Ughhhhhhhh

Re: Halo Infinite Multiplayer Adds Raytraced Sun Shadows On Xbox Series X|S

kuu_nousee

As much fun as I had with the prerelease live multiplayer and the single player being alright I think Microsoft needs to reevaluate the Halo series.

No doubt 343 can make a fun set of rules for gameplay in single player/multiplayer but again they fail to release the amount of maps and single player areas/hand crafted content that ends up truly impressing.

They were so close even with all the setbacks during development all they had to do is delay a bit longer with the right team (but seems a little too late). It feels like anything related to Halo and Destiny are cursed with setbacks leading to lack of content forever for those IPs.

Hopefully 343 gets to do a different project than Halo like Bungie is getting to do with Marathon.

Re: Talking Point: Are You Picking Up Either Of These AAA Juggernauts On Xbox This Month?

kuu_nousee

Just SF6 so far, will rent D4.
Huge fan of both franchises but Street Fighter is a bigger deal to me personally.

Loved the D4 betas but I just cannot give money to Blizzard unless discounted no matter the game. Sucks but Activision Blizzard corp isn't a company that seems to give a crap about their employees.

Diablo can wait especially with being always online and already having lived through one embarrassing launch (Diablo 3 on PC).

SF6 launch is probably the best vanilla Street Fighter ever. SF2 wasn't good til Turbo/Hyper/Super Turbo, Alpha not good until A2, SF3 wasn't good til 3rd Strike, SF4 wasn't good til Super, SF5 wasn't good til Ultra. I'd say Capcom learned their lesson finally.

Re: 'One Piece Odyssey' Free Demo Now Available On Xbox

kuu_nousee

Played most of the demo though seems like a more hand-holdy version of Dragon Quest XI. Also it's just too easy generally along with way too many interuptions and cutting away from gameplay. Though the graphics are alright with flashy skills which is fun.

I think I'd rather just finish Dragon Quest XI than taken this game on unfortunately. Hope those who like it enjoy.

Re: Random: Cyberpunk 2077 Was First Teased 10 Years Ago Today

kuu_nousee

My most hyped game for a long time. Tons of promises that slowly were just cut away or taken out due to issues.

There should have targeted next gen and PC only from the beginning as it was probably a huge reason for all the compromises and in turn just an alright game. Not terrible but just alright, nothing revolutionary for gameplay or game systems.

Biggest disappointment of the century. Easy.

Re: Xbox Event Reportedly Set For Late January, First Details Revealed

kuu_nousee

@Bmartin001 I'm glad they are finally doing something but yes exactly. Starfield is tentatively coming out by end of Q1? And Bethesda just said they will be no more delays.... So before end of Q1 but no more delays yet only once it has been shown with gameplay. They are holding this game's best stuff way too close to their chest. Sucks to think it might be a mess/bomb.

Re: Soapbox: Live Service Expectations Are The Issue, Not Halo Infinite

kuu_nousee

I'm personally fine with GaaS games especially on Xbox as that is the eco most of my friends play on, and sure live service game parts of games are the issue. Though when are we finally gonna get an Xbox 1st party game not a live service based? Hellblade 2, Starfield, or when Ghostwire Tokyo lands on Series X|S next year?

This is the issue it will take 2 freaking years after next gen console launch for Xbox to have a single player AAA experience to release at the earliest. This is what people are complaining about.

That's embarrassing especially after HFW and Elden Ring getting really high review scores and selling like gangbusters at launch. Xbox needs to get things in motion this year period (not rely on 3rd party for single player AAA games like PS does for FP shooters) otherwise your gonna loose out on a certain type of gamer for X more years.
