Re: Xbox Delayed Avowed Purely Because Of Its 2024 Game Pass Schedule

kuu_nousee

More polish for a performance mode would be helpful to get more players (engagement) as too many people are done with 30fps (unless it's an old game non remade or remastered).

Doesn't matter how many games are coming this month or next not every game is for everyone. But a little space for marketing is a good idea.

Re: Reaction: Like It Or Not, Xbox Has Gone Full Throttle On Multiplatform

kuu_nousee

The ship officially put up the white flag.
Sad to see the Xbox brand not go for big exclusives or timed third party games when their own games are timed to their consoles.

And for us that want to use old or current gen Series Xbox discs the future is a SUPER unclear if next consoles will have a disc drive built-in or optional.

The masses have spoken and they destroyed the physical option. Thanks jerks.

Re: Phil Spencer Explains Why 'This Is An Xbox' Will Be Beneficial To Console Owners

kuu_nousee

The biggest issue is if the push is for digital only platforms then the likelihood for a disc-less next generation console(s) only are starting to become more real.

There is a small chance the first launch units will have a 4k drive or they will offer an external drive for older games. Though next generation games might not get disc versions. Really sucks and hope I'm wrong but their focus on digital content and GamePass mostly is at the doorstep of killing the Xbox console physical game option.

Then why would I get an Xbox console over a PC? Especially if they are catering more towards PC gamers in their growth? The only reason I can think is console price vs PC that's it.

Re: Talking Point: What's Your Favourite Memory Of The Xbox Series X|S Generation So Far?

kuu_nousee

All the BC support we got and FPS Boost for older games. Also Halo Infinite Multiplayer beta and the first 2-3 months of Infinite Multiplayer.

Otherwise...maybe seeing Flight Sim 2020 actually running at all on console. Also yesterday when Death Stranding came to Series consoles.

That's about it, generation might go down as worse than Xbox One besides much much much better hardware in the Series consoles.

Re: Review: Dragon Age: The Veilguard (Xbox) - Bioware Is Back On Form With An Inquisition-Besting Banger

kuu_nousee

@Darylb88 I guess that's true but more than a few saying the story isn't good is a pretty big problem for an RPG. Hell I hated the story in ME2 and ME3 and suffered through them for the good gameplay and actually good side stories/conversations. I guess it isn't much different than old Bioware tbh here either. Maybe I'll give this one a go on sale at some point.

Re: Review: Dragon Age: The Veilguard (Xbox) - Bioware Is Back On Form With An Inquisition-Besting Banger

kuu_nousee

Really surprised by the review on this site versus MrMattyPlays and Skill Up. This game looks sooo good technically on consoles and PC. The combat as well sounds pretty great. But that's it is it, just a wet blanket for the RPG and the story.

I was interested in this one even with the idiotic discourse going around. I think it's a total skip unfortunately especially for diehard fans.

Re: Rumour: Xbox's PS5 Ports Have 'Slowed Down' Following Indiana Jones Announcement

kuu_nousee

With good reason.... Or at least only multiplatform very select titles.
They are seeing people saying what is the need for an Xbox console which will equal less GamePass Ultimate subs, EVEN less console sales, and in reality less 'purchasing' Xbox ecosystem digital games (and don't get me started on Microsoft basically killing disc games internally too).
Also how are they going to position a "most advanced & powerful Xbox console" that is rumored 2026 or maybe 2027 WITHOUT some console exclusives. Sorry there needs to be at least a few (even just timed) like Sony has for PS5: Demon's Souls remake, Astro Bot, Stellar Blade, Rise of Ronin, etc.

They need to have a real hard look at if the planned multiplatform plans will cannibalize many other avenues of income.

Re: Roundup: Fallout Day 2024 - Every Bethesda Announcement

kuu_nousee

It was just 76 stuff.
I can't say I was underwhelmed, it was more of a 'extreme let down' that not even Fallout 3 remaster was ready for the 1st ever 'Fallout Day'.

What was shown was more of a "E3" update for 76 not a big day announcement. Which I'm sure will be fun but ....yeah. 🤦
Letdown after letdown after letdown at Microsoft. Never ends.

Re: Xbox Is Getting A Lot Of Praise For This Week's Partner Preview Showcase

kuu_nousee

Solid B, but nothing was I need to play this ASAP besides the Alan Wake 2 DLC.
I think the 'need to play' games are already taking so long to come out they don't have their hype hardly anymore on the Xbox side. They seem to drag out too long in wait they need really good preview right before release like Flight Sim 2024 is attempting but falling a bit short with right now.
Indy, Avowed, and Flight Sim 2024 the ones now until 2nd half 2025 from Microsoft internal.
Sucks I was hyped for them but could care less for any of those now would rather have Doom Dark Age, Clockwork Revolution, South of Midnight, Perfect Dark or Gears E-Day.

I'll just have to get by on my backlog with Stalker 2, Monster Hunter Wilds, and hopefully Wuchang FF by the first few months of 2025.

Re: Xbox Series X Teardown Shows New 2024 Models Are More Efficient

kuu_nousee

@Cikajovazmaj I recall hearing that but didn't want to mention as I didn't have a video for proof/reference.

It's truly unfortunate it's like PS5 and Series X|S were made as upgrades of the SSD from Xbox One and PS4, nothing more in a rush without anything promising from AMD because they sat on their way ML/upscaling wasn't needed for the next 4+ years and brute force hardware was enough.
Microsoft and Sony had to force them to make custom ML or work with them to push RDNA4 ML cores to PS5 Pro even ahead of RDNA4 PC GPUs launch.

It's almost like Microsoft and Sony should have their engineers have the say so of the GPU roadmap at AMD, not AMD.

I'm personally ready to dump PS5 and Series consoles as they have been a letdown.

Re: Xbox Series X Teardown Shows New 2024 Models Are More Efficient

kuu_nousee

@Cikajovazmaj in this economy neither is horrible value even the Series X, but still off customer realities.
If the Series X 2tb was $569, Series X disc 1tb was $469, Series X disc less 1tb was $429, and Series S 1tb was $329 and 512gb was discontinued used at $229 we would not have such a dire pricing structure for sales.

If only there were also two PS5 Pro skus it would be as bad either: 2tb at $699 and 1tb at $599.

This is all about perspective of the value of money/cost of parts and I think honestly Microsoft and Sony STILL failed the marketing for fall/winter 2024 for consoles.

Remember the following:
Series X = 52 RDNA2 CUs with custom ML hardware
PS5 Pro = 60 RDNA4 CUs with PSSR ML hardware

People forget Series consoles have custom ML cores but we have still yet to see great usage of it or Microsoft implement Auto SR into the Series hardware. It has been so far truly a waste of die space on the Series APUs as the ML cores are not utilized and no custom "DLSS/XeSS/PSSR"-like upscaler has been created for usage for Xbox games.

Microsoft's Auto SR: https://devblogs.microsoft.com/directx/autosr/
The only problem is Auto SR currently requires NPU processing hardware, which both Series consoles lack and likely will be in the next generation of consoles for Xbox. Great didn't plan that one correctly for consoles. Like we need an announcement of a custom ML solution in Series consoles any day now. It's been...4 years and still nothing.

Hate to say this though but the PS5/Series release of games will be well into the 2030s, maybe even 2032/2033 stuck with FSR2 grain. The pricing of this gen consoles for 4 years is gonna make sure of it even when a Xbox Series 2X | 2P happens in late 2026/early 2027.

Re: Xbox Series X Teardown Shows New 2024 Models Are More Efficient

kuu_nousee

$449 for digital only Series X
$599 for 2tb disc Series X

Makes the $699 PS5 Pro look like a steal with actual hardware improvements.

We knew this would be the case and only a benefit for Microsoft to sell on a better 6nm node and cut costly parts for maximum profit.
I'll stick with disc Series X as many/everyone else should too.

Re: Reaction: Red Dead Redemption Definitely Deserves A 60FPS Update On Xbox

kuu_nousee

@sixrings my series x is for disc games, 360 bc, and a few online games now as I don't sub to ultimate anymore. I hate it tbh, but Microsoft did it to themselves. I'm either getting a PS5 Pro or will just play majority on PC until Microsoft decides to release some games worth a damn or move on to next generation hardware with a fresh start.

Re: Reaction: Red Dead Redemption Definitely Deserves A 60FPS Update On Xbox

kuu_nousee

@anoyonmus I'd agree a player base thing on Xbox if you mean the majority of Xbox gamers don't buy games. 100% that is true as most of my Xbox friends never buy a game just play what's on GamePass except Madden, College Football, or of it wasn't on GamePass Call of Duty. Then they wonder the games I'm talking about on PC and PlayStation never [or 1-3 years later] make it to Xbox. They literally stopped buying games but GamePass has 34 million payers. Microsoft trained (tricked) most Xbox gamers to not purchase anything anymore.

Re: This Xbox 1TB Expansion Card Is Now Cheaper Than Ever At Amazon

kuu_nousee

Not even close. 4 years on and expansion cards aren't hitting 40-50% off. 2nd worst mistake Microsoft made besides poor execution of getting the better 3rd party games first versus PlayStation. Seriously good Silent Hill 2 remake just released and completely missing on Xbox.

Your better off buying a used Series S to get extra storage space than these memory cards acting as a 2230 Nvme drive.

Re: Xbox Shares Roadmap For Various Upcoming 'Day One' Game Pass Titles

kuu_nousee

If you'd shown me this 2 years ago for end of 2022 and early 2023 I would have been excited. But I'm over waiting for games on Xbox. If they review well and are good games I'll play them that's it. Same for PlayStation the waiting game has been stretched out a bit too long this generation for any actually new video games.

Re: Reaction: PS5 Pro's Extortionate Price Justifies Xbox's Lack Of A New Console

kuu_nousee

As much as I'd like it there doesn't seem to be a reason from the Xbox side. The mid-gen upgrade is simply buy a PC and use GamePass there. I know many people don't want to hear that but that's how they are marketing GamePass now anyways.

Sony doesn't have PS+ on PC besides via streaming so it exists in its own thing. Sony needs their ecosystem of players to stay on console as much as possible to continue selling new generations. The PS5 Pro actually has a reason to exist and well it supports a VR headset.

Microsoft backed themselves into a corner with GamePass support on PC and how would you justify or sell that mid-gen to higher-ups with low/poor sells on current Series consoles? You can't. Their only play is move next generation up a year or two and get a jump on PlayStation 6.

Re: New Xbox Bug Causes Backwards Compatibility Issue For Some Games

kuu_nousee

Stuff like this makes me think Series consoles will just be a straight brick someday, unusable without an existing account logged in and Series X disc game or licensed download. Microsoft definitely wants to kill disc based games and do anything to make it as cumbersome/failure ridden as possible. Thoroughly pisses me off.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Review (Xbox) - Treyarch Tweaks COD Formula, To Mixed Results

kuu_nousee

Best Call of Duty since Black Ops 3.
Tired of boots on the ground, glad I can flail my body more like Quake and the engine this was built from. Definitely a higher skill ceiling from more movement options.
First COD I'll buy in years.

It feels better to play with keyboard and mouse though than controller, and on PC. Tried all 4 setups XSX controller/XSX KB+m/PC KB+m/PC controller.

I think the issue is keybinds/inputs and you really need paddles for diving, sliding, and crouching on controller.
