I'm sad for Xbox, they really seem to have to tighten their wallet. It seems they could go under any minute now.

Then I google search Microsofts earnings:

Microsoft achieved total revenue of $245.1 billion, an increase of 16%.

Then this and the new pricing tiers for GamePass just hit different. It's just a big ol' f*ck you to the consumer, seeing how much they can squeeze out of them. I'm so disgusted.

Also: Ending world hunger would require an estimated $40 billion to $45 billion annually, according to the World Food Programme USA.

Last night I started my playthrough of The Hundred Line Last Defense Academy on Switch. Is it smart to start a huge new game this close to a new console launch? Probably not, but I'm doing it anyway because I felt like it.
Through GamePass I'll be continuing my obsession with Expedition 33.

@Angelus74 Yeah I agree, it truly is peak television. Even my friends, who haven't seen a piece of SW media, enjoy it a lot.

@themightyant besides May 4th as suggested, I think the critical succes of the Disney+ SW show Andor might also play a part in this.

I would only pay 80$ for full AAA massive single player and story driven games. I need to feel the massive budget that went in developing these type of games. Currently only a brand new massive Halo or Fable game would warrant that pricetag for me. Or outside of Xbox a new Zelda, Final Fantasy, or the Intergalactic game, depending on its scope. These are the games I would buy day one as well. For most other type of games I can wait for a sale.

I'm debating wether or not to get Dragon Age Veilguard this sale, or wait for a bigger one either on Xbox or PS5.

I loved this one during its Game Trial days on Switch, but have held off buying it. Now I'm happy that I did. Will definitely download and sink some hours into this.

I buy third party games that work great in handheld for the Switch. Big AAA games I purchase on either PS5 or Xbox depending on if I want a phsyical edition or not (I have a PS5 digital)

I already own this headset and it still works great. If you're still looking for a wireless headset, you can't really go wrong with this one in my opinion.

The addition of the 2 Mana games makes me keep GamePass for a few more months, just when I was about to unsubscribe. Good news.

I don't want to come across as spoiled, but these sales are often so disappointing

@CallMeDuraSouka I agree. I had trouble hearing him and the others speak about their developers as if they're more than just numbers and dollars to Microsoft.

These last 5 months have made me incredibly sceptical on Xbox.

I want it that way

This game looks and sounds so much better than I anticipated. It seems to be an actual solid JRPG and not your average anime adaption. Might get this later on, I'm playing Eiyuden Chronicle first.

Now, this is one of those games that I would propably only try out if it came to GamePass. It would be nice if it does.

@Markatron84 I think your comment is justified, I get the sentiment. This being a completely new IP, however, makes me not want to risk waiting for a definitive edition. I also just want to show support for a new IP, which I think looks absolutely stunning btw.

I would buy an Xbox handheld, purely for GamePass alone.

I already bought it on PS5, played it, had my fill. This one is just a bit too late.

I am so happy to finally be able to say I will be playing Univorn Overlord this weekend! As a strategy RPG fan, this game has it all for me!
Elsewhere I'll be diving into Chapter 5 of FF VII Rebirth. Another great game! 2024 is shaping up to be absolutely amazing.

@Kienda I'm happy to see people like you that can visualize how messed up this actually is and how we really do not have to sit and accept that this is "how business works". Putting profits over people is inexcusable, always. It's a filthy move, however you put it. The only people that benefit are the ones at the top. We as average gamers will not benefit from 1900 developers without a job. Heck, games might even take longer to release now if that's what you really care about.

These moves seriously make me want to just stick with Nintendo for the time being and unsubscribe to GamePass.

Hear hear, on the Chained Echoes praise. It's one of my favorite RPG's I've ever played. I think back fondly on the time I spent playing this last year.

I am very much looking forward to Dune Spice Wars. Am a big fan of the books. Always a blast to interact more with that universe

This weekend I will once again dive further into Final Fantasy XVI on PS5 if I have the time. I'll be at Dokomi in Germany so probably won't have much time to turn on my PS5 at home in the Netherlands at all. Instead it's more likely I'll turn on my Switch and start Master Detective: Rain Code instead. Either way it will be a great weekend. Happy gaming!

@Kaloudz Me too. But since I have only played the original years ago and haven't touched CoD ever since, I obviously have no idea what I'm talking about. It just would make sense to me that Warzone 1 would automatically be upgraded into 2, taking all previously purchased cosmetics with them.

Final Fantasy XVI

Final Fantasy is the sole reason I own a PS5. It would be nice having FFXVI come to Xbox, might be GOTY. But I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Does anyone know if there's a way to transfer what I have on PC to Xbox? I'd love to transfer my character and play on the world where I've built and explored so much already.

The first game of the Zero Escape: The Nonary Games, 9 hours, 9 persons, 9 doors, is probably one of the games I had the most fun playing on GamePass the last year. If you have the time to blast about 8 hours into a game the next two days, let it be this one before it disappears. You will not be disappointed.

@KonstantTrouble As s Hufflepuff you do get to go to Azkaban During the House exclusive sidequest. Though the area you venture into is small and your time there is brief, you do see dementors and the Patronum spell.

On topic: I would love DLC, although it has to be something quite fresh for me to be entertained by it. I think the open world is all to same-y, I would have preferred to have less of a huge open world and more smaller areas that are very different in style; Like Hogsmeade and the Forbidden Forest, but then also Azkaban, Ministry of Magic, Diagon Alley, etc.

I just know this will pull me back in for full Saturdays again

My most anticipated game of the year looks amazing! Can't wait for April. Although, due to the delay, it's going to have to fight for my attention when Tears of the Kingdom comes out.

I absolutely loved the demo and I can't wait to dive deeper into the full release. Although, as a One Piece fan I am easily entertained with games starring the straw hat crew.

I'm sad to see Dragon Quest XI and One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 leave Game Pass. I had good fun with those

Now I'm glad I've passed up on Eastward on the Switch. It's been on my wishlist for a while, can't wait to play it over christmas.

I have to contain myself to not make jokes about the state of the police in the U.S. and what should be present in a realistic police simulator game.

I would happily make use of a month's free trial for Apple TV+. It's one of the only streaming services I haven't dipped into yet, so would be nice to have a look through Game Pass.

I backed this on Kickstarter over a year ago, so it wouldn't matter to me. But it would still be nice to see more tactical rpgs get the Game Pass treatment. Hope it works out!
