11 Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass Today (December 15)

As we reported earlier this month, today sadly marks the departure for 11 Xbox Game Pass titles, including the likes of Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age and Firewatch, amongst other much-loved games.

Here's the full list of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass today, December 15th:

These games will continue to be available with a discount of at least 20% before the end of the day, and there's every chance they might also be included in the upcoming Xbox Countdown Sale, which should begin later this week.

I'm sad to see Dragon Quest XI and One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 leave Game Pass. I had good fun with those

Managed to squeeze in what I wanted before they left:

Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a short but wonderful metroidvania, with a few unique elements, worth a purchase imho.

Was interesting replaying Firewatch, I hadn't played it since release, but was much less enamoured with it's story/gameplay second time around. Still a beautiful game but could do with 60fps patch. Don't usually mind 30fps in slower games but it felt off here.

Lake has an interesting premise; delivering mail to a small community set around the titular Lake, but it fails in too many areas: technical performance, writing and gameplay that outstays it's welcome and tires quickly. Still enjoyed parts of it but needed more oomph.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Illusive Age™ - Definitive Edition, to give it it's full title, in solidarity with the epic Tim Rogers review is an all time JRPG classic, shame to see it go but it's absolutely worth a buy for anyone that likes JRPGs.

It's a shame to see the golf game leave. I played that a lot and was gonna play again.
It's too bad they don't have a comparable golf game on either service.

The way EA Play keeps dropping things and not adding much new content makes me think they're putting an end to the service in the coming year.

@Fishticon Just as well, EA makes nothing but trash these days anyways. Every time I play a trial for one of their new releases, it simply convinces me to never buy the game.

Enjoyed Aliens, and may pick it up in a decent sale, but the fact you struggle to get a full team going after the first mission was a let down

@Retrokingdan have had a lot of fun with the game and just picked up the Pathogen expansion. Haven't had much trouble in matchmaking, using L4G on the game may help as well to get your party stacked.

Was tempted to buy DQ, but with how Square treats its Xbox fans, I've given them more than what they deserve.

That said, I'd buy a Builders 3 without hesitation. Loved DQB2, 150 hrs well spent.
