@Titntin except the majority of gamers understand what DA lore is supposed to be, and the majority of gamers hold all the cash.
Personally can't stand the shoehorned woke dialogue, and you can't say there isn't any. The 'pulling a bharv' scene is just pathetic and doesn't belong in DA. Neither does gender politics.
To the people saying its a success and selling well, not even 100k is not selling well. A new DA should be in the millions sold by now.
The fact that Bioware have already dumped this and moved en-masse to Mass Effect should tell you all you need to know.
Bad character design, atrocious dialogue, boring story. Not DA. Not for me.

@Ryu_Niiyama hi, apologies for my assumption fellow gamer.. And yeah agreed its a great game. Also glad they fixed the 'cheat' mechanic, where you could just build a wall and the mobs would just stand outside and not att.

@dreadful I'd rather pay £25 for an absolutely solid game from 25yrs ago than £70 for a new AAA 'average' game.
If you've never played Worms I highly recommend it, well worth the price of entry.

Good month I reckon. Love Age of Mythology- great addition to the series. That one game alone outweighs the cost of my GPU sub.

@InterceptorAlpha 1.5x a console. Even assuming you're talking Series X, that means your rig cost only $500 or so and can run games 2.5x faster than Series X. Don't believe you.

Yeah but those prices are from the Xbox store, way overpriced. Who the hell buys direct from Xbox? Got my Series X from Amazon for £350. Elsewhere Series S can be bought new for £199.

@Scirius a bit disingenuous. Redfall and Starfield are 60fps. Yes they launched at 30fps, but who cares about the past? They run fine at 60fps now.

Exactly this. Was enjoying HB1 until the puzzles, got way too frustrating. And idk, I get there needs to be game mechanics but the puzzles took me right out of the immersion.
And yeah, also didn't use headphones so that didn't help. Watched a few vids of HB2 gameplay and tbh although it does look great, it does look very much like a continuation of the same.
May try it at some point as it's on GP.

@BBB lol you should keep going man. Some guy on YT did something like NG+ 12. On his last run when he entered the lodge for the first time, he met an earlier version of himself who was already halfway through the meeting 😆.
His other 'npc' self even interacted with him and was like ... 'wtf you doing here?'. lol

Love the franchise since the OG top down GTA. And have purposefully been avoiding any trailers for GTA6. But couldn't resist and watched the 1st release trailer just now.
Was kinda hyped before the trailer but man yeah, now can't wait. Look fantastic imo. Gonna be great to get that Vice City vibe back again. Roll on 2025.

I can easily see this as another tier to GP.
GP Ultimate + (ABK) for an extra £3 pm maybe. Depending on what titles were on it, I'd have no problem paying a little extra for that.
Zero interest in CoD though, I think this game is way over hyped and don't really know anyone who plays it anymore.

@Tasuki yeah am on episode 3 myself. Enjoying most of it but, is it just me or is the Brotherhood of Steel character totally unlikable. Won't say much so as not to spoil for others but I just can't wait for him to get his 'just desserts '.

Bought it a few years ago from Xbox store for my Series X when they released the remasters. It's also on sale atm with a massive discount. So are all the remastered Crash games.
Just gimme a remaster of Pitfall and River Raid.

Remember exactly last time I went in Game. Was at the launch of PS4 pro. Good prices back then. Felt awesome walking home with my brand new shiny console box under my arm.

Played at launch on PS and hit like lvl 160 or so. Logged in again when I got my Series X and played to around lvl 30.
Just couldn't bring myself to grind anymore. Might go back and check it out but tbh have barely enough time nowadays. Plus Skull and Bones is pretty much my now go-to game.

Love it. Played through it in 3 days and will be starting NG+ soon.

Evil West by far for me. Couldn't put it down. Completed it in a few days and am about to start NG+. The combat feels great. I mean, Soulslike Steampunk Cowboy Vampire Hunter. What's not to love 😀.

@CaptnDave yeah it's a great game imo. Loving it too. The game really starts to open up when you get your factories producing and running the rogue gauntlet making illegal deliveries.
No spoilers but advice, save up your gold sovereigns and buy the Sambka ship asap. It's not available until you've progressed into the game awhile.
Also ... don't try killing a sea monster solo lol, found out the hard way.

Absolutely love it. My fave goto game atm. Currently lvl Kingpin 28 in my Sambka Firestarter. There's still a very high player engagement and teaming up is real easy and fun. They also added some QoL updates and PvP toggle.
The islands and dens in this game look truly beautiful too. Each one is carefully crafted. No proc-gen here.

That's quite a bit of wasted internal space. Wonder what they could put there instead?

@UnusedBabyWipes not on GP but you can buy them trilogies from the Xbox store. The Spyro trilogy remaster for x/s is really smooth now. Quite a bit of stutter at launch. Must have released a patch as runs great now.

Don't understand the outrage, or people saying 'well timevto move to PS5'. Why? Personally I much prefer the Xbox, both in looks and usability. The controller alone imo makes up for the few games I may miss on another platform. I'll still have my Nintendo library too. There's really not enough on PS5 that I want to play. All the best games run fine on PS4 pro anyway.
I'll stick with my Xbox thnx.

@GeeEssEff what narrative? I'd love for HD2 to survive. Just in the gaming market atm with all the layoffs and the state of the economy , I fear another live service game is too much right now and will struggle. I still play HD1 on my PS4 and it's still quite easy to find squads, however HD2 is a completely different beast and caters to a different demographic imo. HD2 needs to stand against some of the best fps ever made, no mean feat.

@GeminiReign not really. I still enjoy playing HD1 on my PS4 and would be great if HD2 survives. But honestly in todays market with so many live service games and other great titles, I fear this will struggle.

In the minority here, but I'll be heading back onto the high seas in Skull & Bones. I'm actually really enjoying it. People shouldn't compare to ACBF just due to the fact it has ships and water. Totally different game with different playstyle and gameloop. Remember when SoT launched? That was terrible until many updates later ... good game.
UBi are always great at adding content and updates.

Yeah ok there's some jank, always is on a new ip. But honestly I'm really enjoying it. The ship combat is great fun, especially when there's like 3 diff factions and other players in the mix. Just the right side of hectic imo.
I quite enjoy tootling around, discovering landfall and finding out different NPC stories. It's not a game to be rushed imo. Take your time, read all the notes, explore.
Also had no issues on Series X, runs at solid 1440p 60fps.
If cost is an issue, would highly recommend subbing to UBi+ for a month for £15 first. That way one also gets to play Prince of Persia, which is awesome.

@Jenkinss Sarah Bond specifically outlined MS plans for the next gen of Xbox consoles going forward. Xbox will continue to make hardware.

@Clyde_Radcliffe yeah but exclusives aren't going to PS. Was just ponie rumors. All that's happening is Hi-Fi rush and Sea of Thieves are 'probably' getting ported.
MS are still making Xbox consoles and will still have exclusives. Calm down people.

@NintendoByNature 😆 almost exactly same as me. Finished Rogue City a few Weeks ago on Series X and am currently playing through NG+. Also, continuing Sunset Overdrive (awesome game) and playing Batman Arkham Asylum (on PS4 not switch). Pretty close lol.

just wondering if anyone knows? Which is better for streaming? The inbuilt in the TV or the Xbox? Wondered if one upscales better than the other.

@dreadful I'd say it's even worse my friend. I wonder how much A.i. has to do with this. As a whole even though I'm all for innovation, the rise of A.i. imo in every sector of the gaming industry has only been thus far detrimental. As I believe is evident with the loss of over 5000 positions so far this year.

Don't mind games being developed for Series S but it's a slap in the face for those of us who bought the more powerful and more expensive Series X
If you got a Series S fine, but you shouldn't expect the same parity with Series X.
It's like organising a car race with top end super cars, but their speed is artificially limited so a Reliant Robin can compete.
