@gravelmonkey yeah, if you didn't play the OG back in the day you won't really appreciate the 'jank'. Glad they kept it. To me it's like a long lost friend giving you a big warm hug , welcome home.
@BAMozzy depends on how much you willing to spend. There's still some brand new N64 out there hanging about. Or just buy a good 2nd hand. Goldeneye is still out there too to buy 2nd hand (new if you're fortunate).
@fabisputza007 would recommend upgrading your auto pistol to 'full-auto' mode with circuit boards asap. And set the auto fire to fire max bullets. It really matches the gun from the movies then and feels great blowing bad guys away with a hail of bullets.
@OldGamer999 strange. I live in UK too and see them everywhere. Local Currys, Argos and even CeX have series X and S stock. Not to mention there's also stock in the MS UK storefront online. Plus Amazon has stock too. Don't know where you been looking m8, but no probs here getting Xbox.
Doesn't concern me really. I'll still play whatever I want to play on whatever platform I choose, PS, Xbox, Switch, Doesn't matter really. I think most people own multiplatform anyways. Let people play where they wanna play. 'We wanna be free, we wanna be free to do what we wanna do. And we wanna get loaded. And we wanna have a good time...' (sic).
Definitely a late 2025 announcement and a release in November 2026. 100%. For those not in the know, the OG Xbox launched Nov 2001. They will no way wanna miss the 25th anniversary. Guarantee it.
Kill it with a passion. It's called XBone for a reason. Also the reason 'Top paid games' has many XBone titles is its cheaper to buy the XBone version and get a free upgrade to Series version.
Meh. Never used rewards anyways. I boot up my XSX to play games. Can't be bothered doing a 'chores' list just for points. I still auto-sub monthly price for GP. Who cares for a few quid?
@TheGameThrifter it's not just about the games though for most who enjoy Xbox. It's the ecosystem / features such as quick resume/ GP / and ofc the controller. As an aging gamer I can't use the PS controller for any extended period without cramps. For me the Xbox controller is much more comfortable and feels more natural in my grip. Each to their own.
@Titntin try running Indy in wide-screen instead of cinematic. You lose a little of the frame each side but doesn't affect gameplay at all. Stops that 'motion sickness ' feeling.
Would have ez given Indy my GOTY, but unfortunately have come across a game breaking bug with no fix so far except to restart a whole new playthrough. It occurred on spawning into the 2nd to last lvl of the game. For some reason the 'up - down' on the right thumbstick (look) is locked and just won't work. Tried different controllers and reload but no joy. I managed to speed run the lvl after a few goes and made it to the last lvl, hoping after cutscene and reload would work. Nope, still broke- and remains broke even when revisiting earlier lvls. Unplayable until patched.
Working till Sunday morning, then 4 days off. Will be jumping back into Indy and the Great Circle definitely. Absolutely loving it, nails the vibe perfectly. Especially in between playing we've been re-watching the movies too, good times. Probably pick up a few games in the sale too, as a new years treat. Have a great gaming weekend peoples, and a merry gaming 2025.
As other long time gamers have mentioned- its hard to compete with playing Series X on 4k tv on a comfy sofa. That's my no.1. Second Xbox 360, just for the few legacy titles I have that aren't back-compat. Also like others, having a full time job and family negates the use of other devices, not enough time! Will however probably pick up a Switch 2 later in the year, depending on specs and price.
@OldGamer999 yeah it always annoys us Brits when our sales are overlooked or more often just lumped in with EU sales. We had Brexit for a good reason. I also do think though that the UK has a massive love affair with Indy and that helped shift a lot of consoles. It's a tradition at this point to watch Raiders over Xmas, almost as much as Die Hard . Anyways gotta go, at work atm. Hope you and your family have a great gaming 2025 .
@Darude84 it's dependent on your purchase history and games you play. I usually have around half dozen or so pop up on my account. At work atm haven't checked yet this year.
Sometimes I think as gamers we expect the rest of the world to be gamers too. Absolutely zero chance of this getting 1billion in pre-orders lol. No chance. Rockstar imo have waited too long. I'd disagree with some comments here, the hype is lackluster at best. Friends and I used to love GTA series but no one I know is particularly bothered anymore about GTA. It's a tired franchise with nowhere to go. Tech and expectations have moved on. Maybe it's a British thing idk. Easy pass from me unless it goes free on GP, in which case I'll try it obviously. Tbh am looking forward to Atomfall way more.
@OldGamer999 Xbox in UK has sold really well over Xmas, that's why. More so than PS5. Goes to show that one game can indeed be a console seller. Congrats Indy , Bethesda and Machine Games.
Gotta be Atomfall, Fable & Terminator: Survivors. Not really bothered about GTA anymore, tired franchise. I genuinely believe Rockstar have waited too long and GTA6 is slowly sliding into irrelevance. None of my friends (we all love GTAV btw) are hyped at all and none of the younger gen haven't got or don't want the connection with GTA series. Can't blame them, many more interesting games to play. I predict GTA6 will 'meh do ok',, headlines when it launches then obscurity.
@FarmDog08 amen brotha 🙏. Same here , OG Gen X gamer. Love GPU best value in gaming ez. And you're right, the numerous articles stating GP users don't buy games are patently false. If it's something I enjoy or think the devs deserve some love I'll buy it no probs. Have a great gaming 2025 my friend.
Fable easily. The Outer Worlds never quite clicked with me so not really bothered about the 2nd offering. SoM looks kinda cool too, though will depend on the storyline I feel.
Obviously tackle the backlog. As a subscriber to GPU and often afflicted by 'indecision syndrome ', I'm gonna try a method my m8 suggested. The D&D approach. Gonna use D&D dice to randomly roll which game to play next on GP. He's used it awhile and usually ends up playing some interesting esoteric titles. Have a great gaming 2025 peoples.
@RiverGenie yeah but that's my point. You can't really equate someone who plays 1 finger mobile games to a console or PC gamer. They are totally different beasts. I'm sorry but I just do not count someone on a train going to work for example and playing 10mins on a mobile as a gamer.
Let's be fair. Anyone who says Indy is a bad game , either hasn't even played it or just isn't a gamer. And no, playing candy crush on your phone don't make you a gamer.
@neoxmahi why be so negative. No one is forcing you to play video games. There are millions of us gamers out here who still genuinely enjoy gaming. If it's making you this sad and angry may I suggest you find a new hobby. Merry Xmas.
Around 5-6 I think. I sub to GP ultimate so play most on there. If it's a great game I'll buy it just to give the devs some help. Can only remember 2 titles of the 6 or so I bought. Got Robocop just after Xmas last year. Also picked up the Castlevania collections when they were on sale. Will be buying a few more over next few days - maybe Hogwarts Legacy as it's only £18 atm on sale. Enjoying taking my time with Indy atm, easily my GOTY.
Loving it so far. Great game. To those who feel the side quests just don't add enough to the game. I'd advise sticking to the main quest and don't be too linear. Don't be afraid to jump around different areas of the map. It's not really meant to be played with a completionist mindset. Happy holidays all and have a merry 2025 from 🇬🇧.
@themightyant who cares really? Play it day 0/1/2/3/4/5/6 ...or day 10,000. Doesn't matter. No one is forcing you to pay for early access. Perhaps some people work all week and only have weekends to play. Their choice. So I say again, who cares?
@Elbow might not be a timed exclusive as Sony don't really have a say anymore. Unless ofc HK chooses to make it a timed exclusive. Depends how much money Sony throws at him i guess.
@Titntin except the majority of gamers understand what DA lore is supposed to be, and the majority of gamers hold all the cash. Personally can't stand the shoehorned woke dialogue, and you can't say there isn't any. The 'pulling a bharv' scene is just pathetic and doesn't belong in DA. Neither does gender politics. To the people saying its a success and selling well, not even 100k is not selling well. A new DA should be in the millions sold by now. The fact that Bioware have already dumped this and moved en-masse to Mass Effect should tell you all you need to know. Bad character design, atrocious dialogue, boring story. Not DA. Not for me.
@Ryu_Niiyama hi, apologies for my assumption fellow gamer.. And yeah agreed its a great game. Also glad they fixed the 'cheat' mechanic, where you could just build a wall and the mobs would just stand outside and not att.
@dreadful I'd rather pay £25 for an absolutely solid game from 25yrs ago than £70 for a new AAA 'average' game. If you've never played Worms I highly recommend it, well worth the price of entry.
Good month I reckon. Love Age of Mythology- great addition to the series. That one game alone outweighs the cost of my GPU sub. @Ryu_Niiyama my man I do the same, play against 8 a.i. usually 3 on att, 3 on def and a couple of standards. Have a great weekend all.
@InterceptorAlpha 1.5x a console. Even assuming you're talking Series X, that means your rig cost only $500 or so and can run games 2.5x faster than Series X. Don't believe you.

Still no fix for the camera lock bug? Can't look up or down, just horizontal. Had to quit and at last level too. Very disappointing.

Hmm maybe. Won't be buying at full price but maybe £30-£40 in a sale, or second hand.
