Re: Two More Xbox First-Party Games Are Moving To PS5 In 2025

jedinite

Doesn't concern me really. I'll still play whatever I want to play on whatever platform I choose, PS, Xbox, Switch, Doesn't matter really. I think most people own multiplatform anyways. Let people play where they wanna play.
'We wanna be free, we wanna be free to do what we wanna do. And we wanna get loaded. And we wanna have a good time...' (sic).

Re: Rumour: Xbox Has Even 'More' Games Planned For PS5, It's Claimed

jedinite

@TheGameThrifter it's not just about the games though for most who enjoy Xbox. It's the ecosystem / features such as quick resume/ GP / and ofc the controller.
As an aging gamer I can't use the PS controller for any extended period without cramps. For me the Xbox controller is much more comfortable and feels more natural in my grip.
Each to their own.

Re: Multiple Xbox Games Nominated For 14th Annual New York Game Awards

jedinite

Would have ez given Indy my GOTY, but unfortunately have come across a game breaking bug with no fix so far except to restart a whole new playthrough.
It occurred on spawning into the 2nd to last lvl of the game. For some reason the 'up - down' on the right thumbstick (look) is locked and just won't work.
Tried different controllers and reload but no joy.
I managed to speed run the lvl after a few goes and made it to the last lvl, hoping after cutscene and reload would work.
Nope, still broke- and remains broke even when revisiting earlier lvls.
Unplayable until patched.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 4-5)

jedinite

Working till Sunday morning, then 4 days off. Will be jumping back into Indy and the Great Circle definitely. Absolutely loving it, nails the vibe perfectly. Especially in between playing we've been re-watching the movies too, good times.
Probably pick up a few games in the sale too, as a new years treat.
Have a great gaming weekend peoples, and a merry gaming 2025.

Re: Poll: Which 'Xbox' Devices Will You Spend The Most Time With In 2025?

jedinite

As other long time gamers have mentioned- its hard to compete with playing Series X on 4k tv on a comfy sofa. That's my no.1.
Second Xbox 360, just for the few legacy titles I have that aren't back-compat.
Also like others, having a full time job and family negates the use of other devices, not enough time!
Will however probably pick up a Switch 2 later in the year, depending on specs and price.

Re: Lots Of Xbox Games Are Reduced By 90-95% In January's 'Last Chance' Sale

jedinite

@OldGamer999 yeah it always annoys us Brits when our sales are overlooked or more often just lumped in with EU sales. We had Brexit for a good reason.
I also do think though that the UK has a massive love affair with Indy and that helped shift a lot of consoles. It's a tradition at this point to watch Raiders over Xmas, almost as much as Die Hard .
Anyways gotta go, at work atm. Hope you and your family have a great gaming 2025 .

Re: GTA 6 'Likely' To Make More Than $1 Billion Before It Launches In 2025, Say Analysts

jedinite

Sometimes I think as gamers we expect the rest of the world to be gamers too. Absolutely zero chance of this getting 1billion in pre-orders lol. No chance.
Rockstar imo have waited too long. I'd disagree with some comments here, the hype is lackluster at best.
Friends and I used to love GTA series but no one I know is particularly bothered anymore about GTA. It's a tired franchise with nowhere to go.
Tech and expectations have moved on.
Maybe it's a British thing idk. Easy pass from me unless it goes free on GP, in which case I'll try it obviously.
Tbh am looking forward to Atomfall way more.

Re: 30 Xbox Series X|S Games To Look Forward To In 2025

jedinite

Gotta be Atomfall, Fable & Terminator: Survivors. Not really bothered about GTA anymore, tired franchise.
I genuinely believe Rockstar have waited too long and GTA6 is slowly sliding into irrelevance. None of my friends (we all love GTAV btw) are hyped at all and none of the younger gen haven't got or don't want the connection with GTA series.
Can't blame them, many more interesting games to play. I predict GTA6 will 'meh do ok',, headlines when it launches then obscurity.

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your New Year's Gaming Resolutions?

jedinite

Obviously tackle the backlog. As a subscriber to GPU and often afflicted by 'indecision syndrome ', I'm gonna try a method my m8 suggested.
The D&D approach. Gonna use D&D dice to randomly roll which game to play next on GP.
He's used it awhile and usually ends up playing some interesting esoteric titles.
Have a great gaming 2025 peoples.

Re: Pure Xbox's Game Of The Year 2024: The Results You Didn't See

jedinite

@RiverGenie yeah but that's my point. You can't really equate someone who plays 1 finger mobile games to a console or PC gamer. They are totally different beasts. I'm sorry but I just do not count someone on a train going to work for example and playing 10mins on a mobile as a gamer.

Re: Pure Xbox's Game Of The Year 2024

jedinite

@neoxmahi why be so negative. No one is forcing you to play video games. There are millions of us gamers out here who still genuinely enjoy gaming.
If it's making you this sad and angry may I suggest you find a new hobby.
Merry Xmas.

Re: Poll: How Many Xbox Games Have You Actually Bought In 2024?

jedinite

Around 5-6 I think. I sub to GP ultimate so play most on there. If it's a great game I'll buy it just to give the devs some help.
Can only remember 2 titles of the 6 or so I bought. Got Robocop just after Xmas last year. Also picked up the Castlevania collections when they were on sale.
Will be buying a few more over next few days - maybe Hogwarts Legacy as it's only £18 atm on sale.
Enjoying taking my time with Indy atm, easily my GOTY.

Re: Indiana Jones Update 2 Now Live On Xbox, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

jedinite

Loving it so far. Great game. To those who feel the side quests just don't add enough to the game. I'd advise sticking to the main quest and don't be too linear. Don't be afraid to jump around different areas of the map. It's not really meant to be played with a completionist mindset.
Happy holidays all and have a merry 2025 from 🇬🇧.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Think Of Dragon Age: The Veilguard So Far?

jedinite

@Titntin except the majority of gamers understand what DA lore is supposed to be, and the majority of gamers hold all the cash.
Personally can't stand the shoehorned woke dialogue, and you can't say there isn't any. The 'pulling a bharv' scene is just pathetic and doesn't belong in DA. Neither does gender politics.
To the people saying its a success and selling well, not even 100k is not selling well. A new DA should be in the millions sold by now.
The fact that Bioware have already dumped this and moved en-masse to Mass Effect should tell you all you need to know.
Bad character design, atrocious dialogue, boring story. Not DA. Not for me.
