A great show. So much better than the proprietary efforts. Having Microsoft emblazon ‘Game Pass Day One’ on things gets tedious quickly. This show was just about games with some entertainment thrown in. The reveals were great. Nobody knew anything about the Elden Ring release 👍

@Gabrielmpf I’m flattered that you think I could ever be good at multiplayer, but you’re right, I could practice. Didn’t realise you could set up bot matches (just like I didn’t realise there is split screen co-op). Thanks for the heads up

As a relative COD novice, I've been having a great time with Zombies, particularly Liberty Falls, which is perfectly designed for learning all the games mechanics. The game really doesn't explain much about how Zombies works, so a few online guides and YT videos really help. I find it much more enjoyable than Zombies in MWIII. I'm not up to the pace of multiplayer these days, will eventually try the campaign, but for now am having a blast. And we have a double XP weekend!!!

They’re not even trying with those prices. Such a missed opportunity. And even worse if the PS5 Pro arrives at anything like a competitive price

Seeing as though we need five out of seven days for playing on console, it really should be reliable. And at the moment it really isn’t 😩

Whether on PS or Xbox there’s no reason to buy EA games anymore thanks to EA Play 👍

Glad this is finally done, and glad the CMA commented on Microsoft's poor performance during the engagement. Brad Smith's interviews were embarrassing and unprofessional. Perhaps appropriate in the US, but horribly grating in the UK.

Both of these have ‘good enough for Game Pass’ written all over them, which isn’t a compliment 😥

Over on Reddit there’s talk that the 1:1 Gold to GPU conversion has been changed to 3:2. I can’t validate but thought I would mention it here.

@Grumblevolcano FWIW I still get occasional crashes if I use Quick Resume with Halo Infinite’s campaign. So I always fully exit and quit to be sure.

XP in multiplayer is certainly more generous now, and completing the Ultimate Challenge is loads easier. Mission replay in the campaign is also welcome for grabbing those skulls. I’m happy although would love to see some new, diverse campaign content. And I’ve not even tried Forge yet 🤗

And with the fixes and enhancements, it goes to show that waiting a year to play a game is usually the best approach!

@Snake_V5 I’m in the same boat. Just started Plague ahead of the sequel arriving. It’s fun (in a bleak way) and not really a game to rush through. Using a guide ruins the experience. I guess I’ll get as far as I can before it’s removed.

Go slow on Unpacking. Save the achievements for bonus points like these 👍

They’ve been having awful trouble at the Halo Championship Series too in regular matches. Had to move from PC to Series X consoles. Also worth noting that the Twitch drops for the event include some rather nice armour, which further negates the need to spend any money on cosmetics. This weekend only 👍

Wow, it’s lots of fun. I want to savour it and not rush. I’ve been impressing myself by picking off some great long range shots. Then popped into multiplayer and trounced the opposition at Slayer. Happy, happy days 😀

I’m practicing lots of multiplayer. There really is lots more to Halo than meets the eye when it comes to weapon types and the like. I did get 13 kills in one match, so must be doing something right. Looking forward to the campaign next week and will take my time going through it. Can’t remember the last time I actually completed a game 😳

@themightyant You’ve nailed it when you describe FH5 as iterative. They’ve taken a safe approach to ensure timely release, but I have been disappointed to date with FH5 because everything feels so similar to FH4. I’ll still play it quite a bit, but do hope there’s a good degree of reinvention next time.

I got 50GB into downloading Avengers on my XSX, then it showed up “Installation Stopped” a few times and then restarted the download from zero. No thanks. I cancelled it and am probably not missing much!

Overwatch is £12.49. Nice price for anyone that’s not yet tried it.

I just want Rare to go back to Nintendo. They were a great match. Whereas with Microsoft nothing clicks. Particularly feel sorry for them regarding the Kinect debacle. But fingers crossed they pull something out of the bag.

Yes, enjoying it so far, although my left trigger finger aches from permanently running everywhere 😀
