I played SMTV in Switch and I completely loved it. Crazy good. I'm just glad this is coming to Xbox, ready for a new run with extra contents. Great day!
Even after Doctor Xbox has cured another infamous case of collective hysteria, the patients are still coming here to analyze every single word to convince themselves about how Xbox is wrong and dying.
@101Force Good suggestions. Is Terraria local coop?
I'd like to add:
Young Souls
Knights & Bikes
Trine
Untitled Goose Game
A Hat in Time
Haven
Streets of Rogue
Cassette Beasts
Spelunky 2
Nobody Saves the World
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
Darksiders Genesis
A portable Xbox would be sick. I want to believe in those speculations pointing that next Xbox iteration would be a high end TV console, and a low end portable device.
I have invested money and time on Xbox, it’s my main system. Exclusives give a platform part of its identity, so make them available everywhere would requiere a shift of mindset from us, loyalists.
At this point I’m worried about Xbox future and I hope they come out to clarify these rumors.
I prefer to own games I love, same with books, board games, music and some movies. Even if I won't play them again. Those collections gave me well-being and a personal place. It's a special relationship between you and those objects.
I don't want to live in a culture where everything is consumable contents, and there are not heritable works anymore.
Tomb Raider survivor trilogy left the bar high in this genre. I guess Indiana Jones has to offer something unique to differentiate itself from that and Uncharted. We will see.
I've been a console user all my life. I like what Xbox is doing in terms of access and usabilty. Then, I hope they continue with Xbox hardware, and I hope they expand it (portable console).
TGA is a bunch of gorillas with a certain vision about videogames trying to put it down the throat to everyone. Their awards reflect that with a very visible tendency, every year.
Geoff is a narcissistic fanboy with no authentic respect for creators and videogames as a diverse social experience.
When you need to explain the game, then there is a design problem.
Maybe, they just failed simulating universe vastness and sense of wonder and the final product feel tedious for some people. How hard is to accept that?
Don't get me wrong: I think these are superb entries, but my own favorite is not there: HiFi RUSH. Every other title it's a clear 'reuse' of a previous game:
Alan Wake
Divinity: Original Sin
Marvel's Spider-Man
Resident Evil 4 (!)
New Super Mario Bros.
Breath of the Wild
Even Starfield, it's Skyrim/Fallout in space.
But HiFi RUSH, man, it's the TRUE 2023 OG: fresh, new IP, somewhat innovative, cool girls, smooth music, a cat AI!, it moved its own genre to a new standard.
C'mon!
Anyway, this show (TGA) is like those free newspapers full of ads. Bad quality, biased, and crafted for controversy.
I'd hate that Microsoft start buying the whole industry, specially traditional japanese brands like Nintendo (!!), SEGA, Bandai Namco, Square-Enix, and such.
So, this is good news, and I hope companies like Capcom continue to decline their pretentions.
