Re: Microsoft Announces New Special Edition 'Stellar Shift' Xbox Controller

cross717

I'm a big Xbox fan, I have a Series X in my living room and I have a Series S in my home office and I'm hoping to get the Elite Seres 3 controller whenever it comes out.

I have to state the following comment: Xbox and Microsoft, instead of making these accessories such as different and unique colors of controllers along with things like the Xbox mini fridge.

You should be focusing on making great 1st party games to compete with Sony's Playstation 5. Sony has sold 32 millions PS5s so far. And it's because Playstation fans trust Sony will make great games for them to play. As PS5 is starting to become more widely available this year, I'm seriously considering purchasing one.

As I mentioned, I have both a Series X and S, and I'm still waiting for (great) games from Xbox Game Studios, especially the ones that Microsoft has recently purchased the last few years.

Re: Talking Point: Xbox Series S Owners, Are You Happy You Skipped Series X?

I was able to purchase a Series S in November of 2021 from my local Gamestop. I really wanted to purchase the Series X, but I thought, if I can get the S now and then when the X becomes available, I'll get it later. So I put the the S in my home office and guess what 3 weeks later in the middle of December, I was able to snag the X from Walmart which was delivered on New Year's Eve. So as planned, I put it in my living room. I love these 2 consoles, I have the S hooked up in my home office to a 'regular' Samsung budget 4K TV w/HDR and I have the X in my living room hooked up to my LG B9 OLED 65".

The X is better as you can imagine, but the S is no slouch at all, trust me. Also, I'd like to add that both consoles don't have enough SSD space, so I purchased the 1TB Seagate add on drive for each console.

You will not be disappointed if you purchase the S, trust me.

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Expectations For The 2022 Xbox Games Showcase?

Xbox needs to start under promising and over delivering. Stop announcing games years earlier, do what you did with Forza Horizon 5, announce it during the same year or less than a year before it's set for release and they'll be fine.

I'm not really into RPGs, never have been. But I was still going to download and at least try to play Starfield later this year because of GamePass. So it being delayed is really not an issue for me.

What I'm truly looking forward to this year is the new Forza Motorsport game. I'm really hoping it comes out this year, if it doesn't, Playstation will have the edge with Gran Turismo 7 for a little longer.

I'm also hoping Xbox will have more games out on day one on GamePass. If they don't have any other significant games, Xbox will start losing ground to Playstation 5 and Sony just may continue to dominate the industry.

Re: Reaction: Bethesda Delays Make June's Showcase Even More Important For Xbox

I'm assuming this may be due to the pandemic and the shut down back in the spring of 2020. However, the thing I'm most disappointed in is that Starfield was announced with a date of release. The people who run these companies set 'goals', and most of these goals they set are to be achieved and accomplished by others. Working at any company feels like someone else is writing a check that I have to cash. I wonder if and when that date was announced if the employees who are actually working on the game were thinking 'that's never going to happen'.

Xbox needs exclusives and needs them fast especially this year, Sony had a better sales month with the PS5 in April after Xbox had a better January, February and March. The way it is and let's be honest, gamers around the world trust Sony more than Microsoft to deliver on games and deliver on AAA games. Microsoft needs to reverse that way of thinking and the only way they can is to deliver great first party games. Delaying Starfield and Redfall to 2023 will hurt Xbox this holiday season, but let's hope there are some other games especially on Game Pass that will arrive this holiday season and these games to be announced next month. The Xbox showcase in June will be Microsoft's most important one...ever.

On another note, if Starfield and Red Fall comes out, let's say in February or March or even April, that wouldn't be so bad as it will still be winter and most of us will be inside. It will be great to have some great new games to play during the first few months of the year, since most big blockbuster games come during the last two or three months of the year. However, if these two games come out closer to the middle of the year, let's say May or June, right at the start of warm weather, that wouldn't be so good. But I wouldn't be surprised if these two games come out in the fall of 2023 with another delay.

Here's hoping the new Forza Motorsport game comes out this holiday season along with a few other games especially on Game Pass...
