Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 26-27)

Gotham Knights and a bit of Steelrising. Both games are hard to put down, especially the former. Still can't believe GK received bad reviews. Like gurl, I just don't get it.
I'm going to say something controversial but I'm enjoying this more than Arkham Knight.
Anyways, happy weekend fellow gamers!

Lots of Battlefield 2042 and its just chaotic fun.

For me the trick to BF games is not to worry about dying or stats. Just go out and see what you sort of chaos you can cause for as long as you can, die, rinse and repeat.

Also going to to finish up level 200 (lvl 193atn) on the free battle pass for Overwatch 2. It's a double xp weekend so shouldn't take too long. Didn't mean to level it up so much but I got mildly addicted to the mystery heroes game mode and it just added up I guess

I’m still playing God of War Ragnarok (PS5). I’m roughly 65-70% through with the game, and clocking in at 42 hours so far. I have gotta say - this game is absolutely incredible. It continues to surprise me with new locations and tools even so late in the game, and it’s so difficult to put the controller down because I want to constantly explore. There aren’t many games that can capture my attention in such fashion, but this one has its grips on me. I believe this game is truly a masterpiece, and it’s certainly one of PlayStation’s greatest outings.

On a side note: I’m getting married next Saturday and then going on a week long honeymoon. I’m hoping I’ll be able to complete GOWR before then, and maybe even obtain the Platinum trophy. I have a feeling I won’t be able to due to working full time and working on last minute wedding stuff, but damn it, I’m gonna try. Lol.

Bagged Sinking City in the Xbox Store sale. Loving it so far. The low budget is quite apparent but it is a nicely crafted game.

Oh, I'm playing A LOT of stuff this weekend. Wanted to hang out with the bois but they can't so it's going to be full gaming.
On Xbox WWE 2K22 (such an improvement from the last ones) Yakuza 0 and Vampire Survivors (this sh#t is addictive).

On PS4 I've recently got Extra so I'm trying a lot of different games. Some I wanted to buy on Xbox like Redeemer and Fractured but Whole and some exclusives like Spiderman, Ghost of Tsushima and Dark Rose Valkyrie.
I also tried Romance of the Three Kingdoms and I love that you basically have a NOOB difficulty because I like those games but normally I suck.

I just downloaded Just Cause 4. I haven’t played any of them, but I heard they’re pretty chaotic.

On PS5 I've recently purchased Steel Rising so I will be starting that today.

On switch I will be playing more Pokémon Violet and Mario and Rabbids sparks of hope

And on Series S it's Deathloop and I want to try Warzone 2.0, also just picked up Cyberpunk 2077 for £23 off cd keys, so might give that a try also.

Interesting. I really didn't dig Arkham knight to be honest. It's the only
of that set of games that i didn't get into. Maybe it was the car bit. Maybe because I wasn't a fan of just getting some repackaged red hood story. Imho

Keeping an eye in this one. Hopefully either game pass or a decent spring sale.

Finally went back to Plague Tale Requiem, not sure why but I just felt like playing other stuff when it came out.

Also been playing Evoland Legendary Edition on pc, free game from Epic recently, and it's pretty fun. It's mostly just a nostalgia trip, but it's actually a pretty good little rpg in its own right. I had never heard of it, or maybe just completely ignored it before, so that was a nice surprise.

Which surprised me, not always a fan of this kind of gameplay loop.

Call of duty Modern Warfare 2. Loving it so far, though like most AAA games I've run through this year...it does have a good amount of flaws. My experience anyway.

Maybe some BF2042. I got a little soured with how they handled 5. I know BF has always had rough releases.

BF5 really picked up when I played it a year and change after release though.

I didn't like the start, but willing to check out how it plays now. Least they are trying to fix it.

Want to play some Halo Infinite, but getting harder to be interested in Multiplayer anymore with that. Already beat Campaign, and can say that held up decent at least.

Last but not least, gunfire reborn. Fun, small and easy to just jump in to play. Even has a multiplayer option too. Though I've yet to try it.

I picked up Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure All StarBattle Royal that was on sale. I’ll be playing that and making time for Disney Dreamlight Valley, King of Fighters 15, and Capcom Fighting Collection.

Im predictably still playing GOW Rangorok. Loving it.

Im also playing far too much Forza Horizon 3 and loving that.

Bought metal gear rising for 5 bucks and o intend to play a bit of that. I wanna shut my brain off after finishing pentinent.

I'm playing Citizen sleeper and I'm enjoying it quite a lot actually!! A lot more than I thought I would. Great game.

Assassin’s Creed Ezio Collection. It was great playing AC2 again in 60fps on the Series X after a 13 year hiatus from the game.

Getting on with 1 of my final few ps4 games. I'm mainly playing xbx now but had an urge to finish Sackboy on ps4 so working on that for now.
Eventually I'll return to New Super Lucky Tale but right now, I'm platinum hunting.

Couldn’t figure out what to play last night, so I fired up Fallout New Vegas again. This time I need to go for a different ending. I’ve never joined Mr. House.

I put the gamepass app on a Retroid Pocket 3 so I'm playing on the go this weekend. While not perfect it is pretty damn good. As Dusk Falls and Grounded are my go to games.

@BlackMayge congrats on your soon to be married status! My last anniversary was my 20th and I couldnt be happier. I hope you and yours find the same happiness.
Appreciate your love of Rangorok too. One of those special titles that delivers an experience its hard to forget. If only they had managed to provide a map that actually helped you to navigate, it woukd be perfect! Good luck on both your journeys..

@BlackMayge Congratulations on your upcoming marriage my friend. Hope it all goes well next Saturday. It’ll be my 28th anniversary in January, and although there’s definitely been some ups and downs, I honestly couldn’t be happier. I wish you nothing but happiness and contentment.

As for what I’m playing this weekend, it’s God of War Ragnarok (which my wife preordered me as a surprise) on PS5 and Forza Horizon 5 on Series S (which was a Christmas present from her last year). Though I kinda want to upgrade to a Series X. Maybe this Christmas? Hint hint 😂
