In case you missed it, Monster Hunter Rise was finally confirmed last night to be coming to Xbox Game Pass in January 2023, jumping across from Nintendo Switch to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Windows PC.

We also now have a few more details about how Monster Hunter Rise will perform on Xbox Series X specifically, as Microsoft has revealed that the game will support two performance modes on the console - a quality mode targeting 4K and up to 60FPS, along with a performance mode targeting 1080p and up to 120FPS.

For now, we're still waiting on performance information about the Xbox Series S and Xbox One versions.

Other features we can look forward to with Monster Hunter Rise include "immersive 3D audio" on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S specifically, crossplay between all Xbox consoles and the Windows PC version, and the ability to play the game via Xbox Cloud Gaming as part of Xbox Game Pass.

Plenty of reasons to get excited, then, and we're less than two months away! Here's a bit more about what you can expect from Monster Hunter Rise on Xbox Game Pass, courtesy of Capcom on Xbox Wire:

"In Monster Hunter Rise, you’ll encounter a slew of new monsters inspired by Japanese folklore, like the flagship Wyvern of Malice, Magnamalo. Of course, iconic and beloved monsters from past titles also return, rounding out a roster of fearsome beasts that are sure to test your skills. Seasoned hunters experienced with Monster Hunter World and Iceborne will feel right at home with the signature gameplay experience the series known for."
