Re: As PlayStation Announces The End Of Disc-Based Releases, Will Xbox Follow Suit?

ToxicRageDude

@NishimaruX Yeah, I was there too. I got tired of it when the publishers started trying to mandate what other software could exists on your system. Control freaks obsessed with stopping pirates that won't buy their games either way, but they inconvenience the actual customers to no end anyway. I still remember when someone made Halo 2 run on XP instead of being "Vista Only." I still have that disc. Those were the days. lol

Re: As PlayStation Announces The End Of Disc-Based Releases, Will Xbox Follow Suit?

ToxicRageDude

@PsBoxSwitchOwner I think it's a good thing for digital users. Between updates, DLC, and servers, the majority of discs are just keys at this point. I'm tired of waiting for those to get to the stores. They treat us like beta testers anyway. Maybe things will move along better NOT having to press discs.

They need to solve their issues with licensed IPs though, or stop licensing them. Why can't Disney etc just get a small percentage of the profit so the games can stay on the digital stores forever???

Re: Four New Console Features Begin Rolling Out Today For Xbox Insiders (June 24)

Yet, they won't ever give us full control of cloud saves like PS4/5. We should be able to disable auto sync per game and upload/download on demand.

I also don't understand why every game in our libraries is "Standard Edition" now. I reported that to the Remnant II devs like 4 times and was just ignored. I bought the "Ultimate Edition." I don't want to forever see "Standard Edition" in my goddamn UI. It should be just the game title without an edition tagged on it. Why aren't more people complaining about that????

Re: Here's A Look At The Updated Xbox Game Studios Roadmap From June 2026

ToxicRageDude

How bout a roadmap on when they're finally going to phase out Activision and Bethesda accounts so everything MS owns works with only an Xbox account. Those accounts started as an optional thing anyway, but ever publisher started forcing them after a certain point. They should end them completely or make them optional again for the small amount of people who need cross progression with PSN. They've never been necessary for crossplay in spite of what some sheep claim. Many other games have crossplay without creating a game/publisher account.

Re: Four New Console Features Begin Rolling Out Today For Xbox Insiders (May 29)

ToxicRageDude

Still won't address any of the things they should be:

1. The Bethesda and Activision accounts still existing when we should be able to play everything MS owns on Xbox with just our Xbox account.
2. The store constantly nagging for updates. No other platform does it. You can decline every time and still find new releases. Needs to be handled differently.
3. Why the hell does everything in my library lately showing up as "Standard Edition" regardless of which edition we own? It should literally be just the actual game title. Why aren't all the OCD people screaming about this???

Re: These Are The Top 25 'XBOX Player Voice' Requests After One Week

ToxicRageDude

MP doesn't need to be free, but it needs a cheap tier WITHOUT gamepass and without screwing people on sale prices for not having it. They also need to phase out Bethesda and Activision accounts. Way past time everything MS owns works with just our Xbox accounts. Furthermore, they should answer for all the games MS owns now and published that still aren't BC. The 2009 Wolfenstein should definitely be fair game since the Activision takeover.

Re: Digital Foundry Labels Sony's PS5 Exclusivity Pivot As A 'Defensive Move Against Project Helix'

ToxicRageDude

@ecurb7 They build consoles like PCs now anyway. The cost of porting itself should be minimal and easily recovered even with low sales. The idiots insisting on garbage like Denuvo costs them money. This is the same excuse people keep making for Japanese devs skipping Xbox. I just don't buy that it's not the least bit profitable for companies like Namco to allow Xbox ports of things. Yet, ever since they bought the EDF IP, no EDF on Xbox...even the Yukes spin offs, and Yukes always did full multi-plat releases prior to that.

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your First Impressions Of Crimson Desert On Xbox?

ToxicRageDude

I just don't understand devs obsession with animating every little action now. I'm sorry, but I don't want to watch my dude pick flowers 5000 times. Also, the sneaking/stealing/getting away sucks. If they're going to copy AC, they should at least do it right. Too many puzzles, and why are there QTEs? Did the devs start this project back in the PS2 era? ugh.

Re: 'Keep The Feedback Coming' - Xbox Boss Says New Console Features Were Built Two Weeks Ago

ToxicRageDude

and where are they getting this feedback? It'd be nice if we had direct contact info instead social media trash. I want Bethesda and Activision accounts phased out. I want console commands enabled on console games like Fallout 4 without having to make and account and install mods. I want the store on the console to stop nagging us to update every time we go in there. A "Get All" option for free DLCs on games in the store would be nice too.

Re: Playground Games Says Ditching Xbox One Will Help Forza Horizon 6's Post-Launch Plans

ToxicRageDude

@GuyinPA75 Agreed. Literally the only thing we got out of this generation is faster loading. I want games to really make use of the hardware: more enemies on screen, more chaos, higher building caps in games like Fallout/RTS. Not just tweaking a few GPU sliders and calling it a "next gen" version of the game. They still won't address the absurd update sizes either. They should have to explain how a PubG patch can be 230MB on PC but 9GB for the same tiny bug fixes on Xbox.
