Re: Pick One: Which Is Your Favourite Xbox Yakuza Game?

Yakuza 0 for me. I had heard of it, but it felt like starting the MCU with Civil War. You didn't know the fine details. This game was the perfect entry. I have completed 4 games now (0, 1, 2 and Like a Dragon) and searching for time to start with the third. Great series.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say Matrix Online. Yes, it was not good, and yes it didn't last long. But man, did I enjoy that game, being in a multiplayer Matrix world. For some "clans", you even had to proof you were a hacker by bypassing the website to get to the application page. I liked it a lot.

Re: Halo Fans Grumble About Infinite's Free-To-Play Model, 'Would Pay Full Price To Unlock All Content'

@GuyinPA75 oh absolutely, I hear you. I actually play a lot of singleplayers games for that reason. The incentive in them is, "what's happening next". Same as bingewatching a series. 'Back in the day' there was no instant gratification. But time goes on, and tastes and desires change with it.

This is the same with MP-focused games, since it is still an entertainment medium. Keep the people entertained, don't let the people forget about you. 'Back in the day' there also weren't that many games to play either, so you HAVE to stand out and incentivize people why someone should come and play your product.

As stated before, someone can still enjoy Halo MP without spending a penny, but for me personaly, I'm happy they got a BP.

Ok, let's look at BF2042 and COD, arguably the biggest shooters at this time. Pay 60-70$, and what do you get? The same stuff. I'm even going to go further and say that BF2042 for me has absolutely no incentive to play. For what, a x8 scope on my SMG?

Love it or hate it, BP gives players incentive to play, and keep their audiences hooked to play their game. Maybe not consumer friendly, but as some who likes incentives, unlocking new stuff and customizing every now and then, I like this approach.

Either way, with Halo SP being added to Gamepass, I don't see the reason why not to go F2P. It's a Microsoft studio, so they're hoping to attract more people to Gamepass with this move.

Re: Review: Forza Horizon 5 - An Amazing Game, But One That's A Little Too Familiar

Though I understand the Japan sentiment (I'm in the same boat), I don't agree with all the other points.

This game is being released across 2 generations of consoles and pc. If anything, I think they nailed the 'feel' and look of driving a car most of us will never own by using the incredible power of our preferred gamesystem. I think we all have to be honest here and say that this is one of the most visually spectacular games out there.

I also believe PG did a great job to sticking to what they do best, and make it even better. There are countless pro's and cons to this argument, but in the end, we just want to race, tune, explore and have fun while doing so. If you want to discuss gameloops, I think this game has infinite with the amount of cars and customization, different car classes, ..., the list goes on.

So to say that they did not have a good plan for their franchise, is wrong. I believe this is just what most of us wanted. Can't satisfy 'em all.

Re: Reaction: Xbox Needs To Do Something About Its User Review System

I don't read those reviews anymore. I live in Belgium, where we have 3 national languages, but most is Dutch and French.

I'm Dutch speaking, my console is in English, but all "reviews" are about how game X and game Y don't support the French language. In French, with the obligatory 1 star rating ofcourse. Nevermind talking about gameplay. In the Store you can even see what languages are supported. Unbelievable.
