I've given a 5/10 at this point. I've started it, but only an hour or so into it, so I can't really pass judgement just yet

I am leaning more towards agreeing with what seems to be the general consensus though. It looks fantastic, but gameplay wise, it's boring.

Shame really, because I really want to love this game.

@FarmDog08 I've put around an hour into Harold Halibut so far and nothing has happened, but I like the look of it so it definitely needs to give more time in my eyes. I hope it picks up soon!

I'm away right now, but will be home this evening to carry on with Harold Halibut. I've only played the first hour or so and nothing has happened yet, so need to give it more time before I pass judgement on it

Also considering buying Back 4 Blood as I didn't get to finish it before it left gamepass.

May also throw a little time into Doom, Brotato and McPixel 3

@RetroMan71 Lego 2k drive does look like fun. But it'll have to into my backlog for a while yet 😂.

I'm trying to finish Back 4 Blood before it leaves Gamepass next week (Monday. I think) then it's onto PGA for me for a bit.

I'll be playing 2024 games in 2026/27 😂

I mean, I only have a series s (not enough money to have more than one console) and the only 2024 game I've played is Brotato - which is just some good mindless fun.

@Weapon_Wheel I fired up classic Doom during the week for the first time in years. It's still great fun!

I've got a big stack of games to play but for the moment I'm concentrating on Back 4 Blood (hoping to box it off before it leaves gamepass) and I'll dipping into PGA as well. I've been waiting for it to hit gamepass since it released so I'm looking forward to getting started with it and I hope I can get plenty of life out of it.

I need to have a proper look at the store, but nothing on this list is jumping out at me.

A game can be as short or long as it wants for me, as long as it's well made, enjoyable and doesn't has any unnecessary padding.

I'm equally happy playing a 100+ game as I am playing a 6-8 hour one, as long as I'm having fun with it.

I just installed Back 4 Blood a few days ago, but not started it yet. I best get cracking!

@AlwaysPlaying I hope so. Been waiting to play for seems like an eternity. I toyed with buying it in the sale but I refuse to buy EA stuff when you know it'll make it's way on to gamepass eventually.

I noticed they've done similar with the WRC game too so I'm hoping that's not too long either ( but that only came out in November so may just be wishful thinking)

Ea's PGA game came out in April 2023. Has there been any news on when it will hit gamepass/EA Play?

It's got to be Diablo 4, right? No.

As interesting as it looks, Diablo 4 is not in my cross hairs for a while yet. I've got too much to check off the backlog before I commit to something like that. I was playing Hellblade and although I enjoyed the first couple of hours, I got bored pretty quick, so I'm done with that.

Now I'm playing a myriad of games and dipping in and out of each of them. I have a feeling I'll be playing the same rotation for quite a while!

I'm still chipping away at Gotham Knights. Up to Level 19 with Red Hood now. I'm liking it a bit more than I did when I started playing.

Not a fantastic game by any means, but it's decent. My mind is starting to think about what I'll play next though.

@Titntin absolutely. I'd actually not listened to any Tool for years. It's been on virtually nonstop for the past week!

I'm chipping away at Gotham Knights. I was really struggling to get into it. It just didn't have any atmosphere.

I randomly decided to play some music whilst playing the game. The band of choice was Tool. It's transformed the game for me and I'm loving it now!

@AlwaysPlaying fair point. Here's hoping for April this year then!

Man, I really want PGA and WRC added to EA Play sooner rather than later.

I finished the Halo infinite campaign last weekend and let the XBox game pass picker decide my next game, which is....

HiFi Rush.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to play this game. It's so much fun to play and the music they've used is exactly what I wanted it to be. Still quite early in the game I think (R&D) and loving every minute of it.

Let's hope the game pass picker pulls out another gem for me when I next use it!

I wasn't interested in Avowed or Ara anyway.

Visions of Mana doesn't interest me in the slightest.

Hellblade 2 looks amazing and I'm looking forward to it.

But the big thing for me was Indiana Jones. Unpopular opinion: I'm really disappointed that it's going to be mainly 1st person.

I understand why they've done, I was just really looking forward to a really good 3rd person adventure game 😐

Don't get me wrong, I'll play it and probably enjoy it, but probably not as much as I was expecting to.

I'd like to see some sort of a deal done that brings Ubisoft+ to gamepass just like EA Play.

They've proven they can do business when they sold the actiblizz streaming rights to Ubisoft so surely they can work something out?

I'm hoping to finish the Halo infinite campaign tonight as I'm onto the last mission now. It's been ok, I guess. I'm not really keen on the open world aspect of it.

To me, it doesn't matter how much you spend on games. How many games you buy, or if you rush through them to get to the next game. As long as you enjoy doing it then it's all good.

Halo infinite campaign for me this weekend. Only playing in short bursts (1-2 hours max) but plodding along nicely.

Forza motorsport and nothing else. It's all I've played since it was released bar maybe a couple of hours on riders republic, and a game of party animals with the kids here and there.

I'd said previously that my plan was to play through Forza and Cyberpunk by the end of the year.

Forza has seriously got a grip on me so I don't think Cyberpunk is even gonna get started, let alone finished.

I'm really interested in Alan Wake 2, is the first one essential to play before the second one?

I'm currently chipping away at Forza motorsport and Riders Republic. Slow and steady progress in both.

I also have FIFA 23 and Cyberpunk installed at the moment and I think these are the 4 games I'll stick with til the New Year.

I'm going to try something different in 2024, which is remove the privilege of choosing what I play. I've recently stumbled across xboxgamepasspicker.com and have decided to let that dictate the games I play for next year

I intend to write about my experience with it also (either monthly or just one entry at the end of the year)
My reason for doing this? I've come to realize that we are all (to an extent) creatures of habit. We only ( for the most part) stick to select genres of game (I'm especially guilty of this) and other genres don't get a look in. So I figured, if I only play what I'm told to play, I'm going to break that cycle.

I know I'll end up playing some stuff that I'll likely not enjoy, but I'm optimistic of discovering some new favourites also.

I agree, I'm in the UK and would love a free movie from time to time. I don't understand why they can do it for the U.S but not other countries.

I've given up on Starfield. It just wasn't for me.

I'm playing riders Republic through the free play days this weekend, enjoying it so far.

Just waiting for Forza really.

I'm in a bit of a lull at the moment.

I really want to like Starfield, but I played an hour or so and it just didn't do anything for me. I know people have said it takes around 10 hours of play for it to properly get going, but why should I sink so much time into a game waiting for it to get good?

I don't want to slate the game by any means, the visuals look amazing and there's nothing blatantly wrong with it that I can see. It's just too slow a start for me.

So this weekend I've not played anything yet, and I don't know what I want to play either.

Ultimately I'm waiting for Forza motorsport. It may be that I don't really play anything until then. But I'm sure the masses will tell me to stick with Starfield a while longer and see if it can change my first impression.

As far as I'm concerned, this game doesn't release til next year when it hits game pass.

I'll download it then, start a career mode, play about ten matches, and then never play it again. It's been like that for years for me and I don't see it changing.

I'm just back from a weeks holiday, so I've not really made any progress on anything.

Played a bit of Dirt 5 last night, and will likely do the same tonight. Then it's onto the Halo Infinite campaign.

Much like everyone else I'm really just waiting for Starfield, although I don't think I'll be playing it Day 1, I want to wait maybe a week after release to see what 1st impressions are.
