Last year was widely considered the best of the current generation of gaming so far, and we're hoping that the Xbox Series X|S era keeps on gathering pace from this point onwards. It's going to be hard to top a year that contained Alan Wake 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Starfield and so much more - but the first part of 2024 is doing a pretty good job of it so far.

We've seen the likes of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Dragon's Dogma 2 arrive in 2024 already, and they've launched in what's been a stacked first-quarter of the year. Seriously, what does the rest of the year have in store for us after what we've seen from 2024 already?

Of course, Xbox's Developer Direct event in January laid out a chunk of Team Green's plans for 2024 - not to mention the rumours currently swirling about the Xbox Summer Showcase and what that might bring this June. 2024 has only just begun really, when you consider how many games typically arrive towards the end of the year, so we're very excited at how this year is trending at the moment.

In the video up above, we've broken down 10 of the best Xbox games of 2024 up to this point. So, if you need some inspiration for what to play over spring and summer, go ahead and check out the list! We've also dropped a couple of upcoming release guides down below - to get you all giddy for what's to come later this year.
